Amazing, I'd have never believed this was possible, back in the day. It took me many hours to finally decipher and finish (the ending!) this game as a kid. And what a great trip that was. One of the most important games of my life.
Bonjour ! Merci beaucoup !
Ahah, actually I had a project: I wanted to record a walkthrough with "realistic reactions" from Lester and put for each moment the music that suits the best to the action (I played all versions of the game and there are enough soundtracks to do that). I'll definitely do that eventually ! Thank you for watching ^^
@@GamingNostalgiaRemastered Waw, both are really amazing, well done ! The snes versions really are my favorites. The intro has a little something very frightening, and the ending theme has tragic vibes that the original version doens't have. It really add a whole new dimesion when I saw it for the first time as a kid. Thank you for your work !
I'm currently practicing a speedrun of this game myself, using this version... I could never hope to be this good, though, man. There are some things control wise I'm not quite sure how NHG even pulled off, but they sure blow my mind to see. This run is so inspiring.
Hi there ! If you want some informations you can find notes that I wrote in the SDA to complete the submission of this run. Maybe it'll help ^^ And if it does not, I'll be happy to give a hand personally ! Thanks for your comment, I really apreciate :)
NintendoHardGamer Aw man, that's too nice of you dude qq Thanks so much! Do you have any links to your notes? Also, if I have any questions I'd like to ask you personally, would here be best? Or would you prefer another way of contact?
Lester Knight Chaykin speeddemosarchive.com/AnotherWorld.html Here. I think it's best to also read notes of the segmented speedrun, they kinda complement each other. As for questions, you can ask here. You can use TH-cam private mails too and if you can also ask my Skype adress if you think it'll be easier using it !
NintendoHardGamer I sent you a private message on youtube asking some questions. I've been reading your notes a lot and there's still some things I want to ask. I've been making good progress so far though!
+Matt Aslin Well thank you so much ^^ I believe that is how the SDA community wants speedrunners to think. Of course it's a skill prestation and stuff, but most of all it's a share of passion about one game, or about video games in general. So there's no point of being selfish and keeping tricks for myself. I guess I'll be kind of sad if someone beats my time one day (especially on this game where I put more efforts than anything else in my entire life) but I'll still be impressed and happy to think that I'm a part of it. As for AGQD, it'll be an honor to be a part of it but it'll ask me to go to another country for a week. My work and my budget don't really allow me to do such a thing. But maybe, one day :)
You're a true master, I just beat the remastered version (PC) in about two hours and countless deaths. :D In my defense, I haven't played it in at least 11-12 years. Such a great game.
Thanks a lot sir ! It took me months and months of training and tears to get such a result so don't be so hard with yourself ^^ I'm glad to see that there are people who come back to this masterpiece time to time !
This game is ridiculously difficult without a guide, just the first part before you get captured took me many many tries as a kid. I managed to beat the whole thing with a lot of help.
Well thank you ^^ I still play the game from time to time and this trick remains one of the hardest to me (with the one at 6:05). The timing has to be perfect: if you move too late the floor bomb'll kill you, but if you move too soon it'll cancel your shield. Even in the outdated version of the run, this guard has always been a pain in the *ss x)
I tried to translate the message with Google, the result wasn't great but I think I got the essence of it so... I'm glad you liked it ^^ It took me one hell of a time to do the whole thing. Probably the only success in my entire life =p
Heh, I actually did an accidental part speedrun trick as a kid, jump-running through the guard defences after the flood pool. I always wondered what happened in that screen since after jumping the defences. After returning to the guard room there was no opposition anymore, just a mysterious body with green rubble lying in the middle of the floor.
Man, that´s just too impressive. Thank you for share this for all of us. I love this game. I have another method to overcome the guard at 5:02 (slower of course). I duck the laser put a screen, return a little bit, jump the grenade and later was just a battle behind screens. Your method is amazing. Keep up the good work. :)
Guillermo Paniagua Valdebenito Thank you mate, I really apreciate it ^^ Your method sounds like the one I used at first ( that you can see in my good old 10:12 record). I am glad that a really nice guy, Archanfel, worked hard with me to find new shortcuts and keep me motivated to make a new record after the first I made. I'm pretty sure he is the clever-one who found this new trick and a lot of others. Even after doing it a thounsad times it actually remains pretty difficult to perform it properly (that and the one at 6:05). Definitely the only great thing I made in my entire life x)
I completed this as a kid, it took a lot of goes. The main part that I was stuck was when you go behind the building. I worked it out because I saw the window inside and it just popped into my head to try and go behind it, when it worked it gave me chills ;-) 5:30
+traida111 It took ages before I understand how to pass the next part where you have to dig the ground with bombs. When I found the solution it only was by chance, I didn't know what to do anymore and I just waited in front of the alien, letting him launch some bombs. The funny thing is sometimes I noticed that the ground was changing a little, but I never made the connection with the bombs until the I found the ground completely open. Good memories !
+NintendoHardGamer hehe nice, I dont remember getting stuck on that bit, I think I remember those bombs as being a new weapon so I was confused, I see it going down the stairs so I guess I worked it out. I think the ending on this game puts you on the edge of the seat, had a real connection to that alien freind, got quite emotional when he helped, especially when he is getting beaten up at the end. I also love the intro at the start, what a well made game and graphics (for that era), this game was fantastic to play back then, love it.
Uuuuh... yes, what about that ? What is the question exactly ? x) SDA is a website who authenticate and classify speedruns (audio/video quality, no use of cheat, final time etc...) and keep in memory only the world records for each possible category. This run is currently the best time on their website ^^
TrioHorrorProduction Thank you so much ! If you feel insulted by my "skill", I can record myself playing FPS-games. It'll show you that being good in games is a really relative thing x) Oh, and you're the subscriber n°100, so... Yay ! =p
Hahaha no, you're fine. I just can't believe something like this was possible seeing that Another World is a game even the creator dies in when demonstrating it. It's beast!
TrioHorrorProduction Thanks u_u Because Hoooooly hell I suck with FPS... Like seriously when I play L4D with friends they know that the simple fact that I'm playing makes the game a lot harder. I actually met Mr. Chahi two years ago in a convention ^^ He is a really humble man, he thanked me for my speedrun. I was like "Uh... Wait what ? No no, I thank you ! Your game changed my life ! Don't thank me è_é" It was kinda embarassing... But anyway, a great guy and a simple person ! Some french video game developers should take the exemple.
First of all: You're welcome. Though I love more the old school shooters myself such as Quake, FPS is just too overdone this generation. That's a great you got to meet Eric Chahi. That would be a great honor and it's great to hear he respected your Speedrun like many others. As for the game and Eric himself, you can't help to respect that after 20+ Years it still has praise. Why? Well because rather game developers are too nervous to copy or wasn't taken to heart. Though that there are many that are inspired (like you me, and Kojima) the style of game shows you can show enough through gameplay, attention grabbing and everything else. That something simple like this can take merely twenty minutes if done right or even hours if it's your first time playing (we have all been there). Though I wish they would have transferred Lester's Journal in later versions, it's not hindered by its absence still showing that even without words, and through cinematic. He too helped with pushing off an RPG I have been developing for six years by myself (which I hope to release a Beta Demo in a few days to a week) or that I even hope to create a Spiritual Successor to Another World someday. The style Eric has done isn't well known nor has it been as imitated, Which is an interesting approach. Eric proves that even after 20 years he's still inspiring, taking us to school and teaching us how to make a game that addicting, simple and with as much story within a short amount of time. He was the main reason why we have games such as Prince of Persia and Metal Gear Solid (though not Metal Gear). I bet you anything he wasn't expecting such a feedback. Even to this day.. Wow what a mouthful haha. I didn't mean to keep you =P ~Alyssa
TrioHorrorProduction Wow, what an answer ! ^^ I'm nervous now ! I think Mr. Chahi is still surprised by the feedback even today, and it's a really cool thing. So many people would fall into vanity to his own place. But him ? I'm pretty sure he is just grateful to people who like his games. I agree with your opinion, Another World just created a way to tell a story in a videogame not only by cutscenes but also by gameplay itself. Most of the things you can understand or imagine in this world is just by reading what you see in the screen during the gameplay. The universe, but also the complicity with the friend, the way to solve a situation, the action's intensity... There's nothing similar, at least I don't think anyone succeed to do such a thing so naturally, without being blatant or vulgar . This really is kind of induced narration, and I think it's a mistake to say that AW brought a cinematographic dimension in video games. The game just found his own way to tell a story, helping itself with what makes a video game a video game, but there aren't so many similarities with Film codes except those 3 cutscenes. That's how I see it =p So you're creating a game huh ? I'll be glad to play it when it'll be ready ^^ I'm kinda curious ! Thanks for the long thought ! It was really interesting !
Aaah d'accord !
@@NintendoHardGamer it was on PC on my old cousins computer ages ago. The demo would allow me to get chased by the first beast, hop the worms and then wave and get shot by the locals. I'd replay that chase scene in the pc demo at least 50 times because I didn't have any other games to play lol.
They both got a sequel. Fade to Black (Flashback sequel) was an interesting beast (basically an early 3d proto-Tomb Raider with more adventure game elements) but its interface was an absolutely horribly designed abomination wherein there were separate controls for rolling your eyeballs or wiggling your ears. I recommend watching a playthrough on youtube, it really hasn't aged well. Heart of the Alien (Another World 2) only came out on a niche console and never got ported to anything else as far as I know. Oh, and MASSIVE SPOILER, Lester dies in it, turning a whole lot of the games into a shaggy dog story.
Very good run! On PS4 you can choose between easy, normal and hard. Don't know is the original Another World on normal, hard or something between them. Hard was very tough, just completed it with many deaths. Very nice skips with the guard under the green lamp, dodging the laser shots without darkness and progressing without turning the "beast switch" after that. I laughed at the end with that last kill as it was like "Reason of death: fryed eyebrows". It was quite close that you had missed that shot!
Thank you sir ! I worked very hard on it and the result is very clean even if I still see minor errors here and there =p This version (15th anniversary) doesn't have difficulty, just a "normal" and "fast" speed. This speedrun is in normal, the other mode being kinda awkward and unatural. Actually, the difficulty in your version (20th anniversary) also changes the general speed of the game but the are also several other minor changes. If I remember correctly, one of them is the "accuracy" of random lasers, increasing the the possibility of you to die in some spots (like in prison when you run pass the guard). It forces to have some micro-changes when you run the game x/ That's not the reason why I didn't use the 20th Anniversary version though. I just didn't have it x) For the last ennemy of the game, actually I could activate the "trap" a little bit earlier (when he makes his second step on the floor if I remember correctly). But considering how lucky I was with several RNG in the game and how clean my run was so far, I didn't want to mess up right at the end ._. Thank you for your comment ^^
Coming from a person that was OBSESSED with this game since he was probably about 5, this game was THE game for me on the SNES. Now, I know everyone will have their own opinion on which OST was better, but I do believe the SNES version was done extremely well and with great care. I think I was probably about 8 or 9 when I started recording the theme for the end. The music really blew my imagination away, especially the sneaky, ambient somber tones on the piano. It really gave the game so much depth and suspense.
Prince of Persia-Vibes. I remembering me playing this game when i was around 12 years old and i thought the full game is a movie. I sat back, the controller lying before me and i was wondering me why the game ends after the intro and the guy was under water with his table why he sinks. I love this game but it's unfair.
I actually met the guy during a french convention. He was absolutely adorable, calm and very humble. It was a real pleasure to talk a little with him. I also have the 20th anniversary eddition with his signature ! Good memories x)
Haven't played this game in years, until I finally tried out the remastered version on Steam today. Took me 3+ hours to beat it and even so I had to look up this walkthrough for two parts I just couldn't get past...
Stuck with the blowing floor thing huh ? It took me so long to understand how to finish this level when I was younger. I did not even find the solution on purpose, I was just messing around with the guard until I find out a hole in the ground. Anyway, Glad I helped =p
Yeah it think it was the part when you have to like let this guard blow up the floor and then it was like that part when you've gotta drop down to that place with all the guards plus the animals (they're fighting) 'cause I kept dying there. I didn't exactly think of just keep running as fast as I could to the right until I saw it on YT xD
Merci beaucoup !
So on the first stage you can just speed jumping right from the beginning and you won't get caught by the poisonous vermin things. So many tries 25 years ago!
In fact it really depends of your timing when you start running/jumping and I'm pretty sure slimes sometimes have a different position pattern. In any case, if your first move is a success you'll reach the black beast without doing anything. After that, depending of slimes location, you may need to re-synchronize your move. From experience, it always happens at 0:23 but sometimes you don't need to do it at 0:34
This run is fantastic! I've been running on the PS4 and now started playing the steam version and using a keyboard has made a lot of these skips way easier on my end. What I'm having trouble with is after you kill the Alien at 5:04 you fall straight down that hole without blowing out the power. My issue is everytime I drop down I get instantly blasted by one of the big beams and before he can even hit the ground and do his crouch animation he's already done for. I've gotten it a few times but I'm not sure how. Any tips would be great :)
Thank you my good sir ! I never posted it on speedrun.com, I really don't like how this website works. I watched the speedrun on your channel, it's a pretty clean one even though the path isn't really... Up-to-date? x) Anyway, the only tip that I can give you about the 5:04 section is... To be patient. There's nothing to do except hoping that the game won't kill you. It is pure RNG. I did it again and again until the game lets me pass without me dying (or just sucking) in the 2nd part of the game. It took me 408 tries among wich the game let me survive only 8 times x/ ...But despite all the frustration I regret nothing x)
I had a feeling it was RNG and what you saw was the PS4 run which if you plan on running it on console you're best off doing 100% run meaning no skips and adding the window scene which I didn't lol. Trying these strats on console is very rough because the input is not as quick as keyboard. There's a new strat around 6:55 I modified that I'll upload to my channel where you can literally knock out all 4 of the aliens consistently right away without the first one being a problem. Thanks for the reply and I'll keep working on the any% pc runs :)
Oh a new strat ? Interesting, I'll try it if I find time to do it. Mine wasn't really consistent so I did not try it at the end of a run that clean x) I'll keep an eye on your channel then. To be honest I'll be devastated if you take my crown xD as it the only accomplishment in my little piece of a life. But I wish you good luck anyway ^^
haha no worries. Here's the twitch highlight of the strat if you wanted to take a look :) www.twitch.tv/videos/252094210 As for taking your crown? I think you'll be alright. I always respect a person that puts a 100% and heart into a run and yours is a pure example of that.
Brandooates Oh now I see ! Are you sure it is consistant ? It seems like you're not cover if the guard shoots at the exact same time than you ? In any case that's indeed an optimisation ! Congratz ! Mine consisted to kill the last one in the next screen but he could react fast enough to kill you at the same time. There's also the TAS method: it's virtually possible to just jump through the two first guards without killing them. They'll follow you in the next screen but they sometimes loose enough time making shields and taking position to give you the opportunity to survive. But as you can guess, it is not consistant at all. Oh and don't get me wrong I don't want you to give up if your wish actually is to make a new record ^^ I would be a doosh to think like that !
Nazi Groot See the move that I do at 4:37 when I shoot the 🎤chandelieeeer🎤 ? ... Ahem, well you have to do that. At this moment he's into a conduit and need you to break this thing so he can progress
NintendoHardGamer That’s Fine, At Least Your Girls Know How To Kiss 😘 ....If Ya Catch Meh Drift? 😉 ...NeverMind.... 😑I’ll just go away now.... Thank You Again By The Way👍🏾
Well, 15th anniversary version, a CD-one (no steam, gog or whatever else thing). But I assure you I have not the pretention to do pixel/frame perfect tricks. What are the spots you're talking about ? Maybe I can bring you some answer ^^
Salut !
not familiar with any glitches in the game, but at about 4:24 he goes right pass the bottom waterfall and ends up somehow on the second level just above it? am i missing something here?
How did you manage to retroactively have the enemies graduate at the Imperial Stormtrooper Marksmanship Academy? Like at 1:50 if I don't fight them as I'm supposed to, they either hit Lester or Buddy.
Ahah funny one ! First you've got to understand that every version of the game has its little variations, ennemies (and lasers)may act different if you don't play 15th anniversary. I'm pretty sure the 1:50 thing doens't work in 20th anniversary (especially on hard mode, as this one has several difficulties). For the story, one day during practicing I just missed my shield and kept fireing anyway. I saw the guard having a weird reaction just before he died, so I tried again without killing him and here's the result. Strangely it doesn't happen if you're making a shield, and after his slide move it seems he can't kill buddy (I don't remember if he can kill me though). I found it funny so I added it to the run. Also I'm not quite sure but I had the feeling that Buddy hacks the door faster (cause yes it's kinda rng here) if an ennemy is on the screen.
At 5:06, how do you avoid the first big laser? I see that you duck, but for some reason the laser always hits me before I finish the ducking animation.
I've been practicing this a lot to get all the movement for the water room and the orb-guard as close as possible to yours. When I record myself do it over and over, I'll eventually finish the duck animation and not get killed by the first laser. But even though I'm holding run immediately, another laser shoots me immediately. This laser that kills me doesn't seem to appear in this video. Is there some sort of cycle or strat that I need to do to survive?
Didn't you see my first response ? Errr, TH-cam doesn't work as well on smartphone ^^ As I said (you can find it somewhere down below xD) "it's totally random :p i dont duck, it s just the effect of Lester's fall. I just played until the game let me pass x/" There's no trick or anything. Basically, you just have to reach the next screen. During this time there'll be 2 lasers shooting at you (not exactly at the same time), they'll have enough time to shoot only 2 times each if you're quick enough, wich makes 4 lasers to avoid. There is something like 8 different possible heights for them to shoot. You have to be lucky enough to have those 4 lasers high enough to pass over Lester (they'll destroy the wall in the process). What makes you think there's only one laser at the beginning is just the fact that both of them are at the same height at this moment, but if you pause the video at the right moment you can see both of them. For the speedrun I did nothing except do it again and again until I pass. If I remember correctly the ratio is something like 15% chances to pass. In the commentary of the video (that you probably missed because it's french ^^) I said that the game only made me pass 9 times in 408 attempts in wich I reached that part =p
Okay, thank you for the response. I didn't see the earlier comment until now (I think you commented on the wrong chain). I also figured it was random but was wondering if there was some sort of special cycle...apparently not. :P I think for now I'm going to do some safer strats like going into the water, even though that loses 80 seconds.
So what’s the point in shooting those electric circuit things (one where you swim deep under water, and a couple of others)? As you finished it without having to…
The first electric circuit is in prison. When you break it, the guard at 2:12 is stuck behind the doors. We found a way to pass him anyway but the timing is very short, you're not supposed to do this way. The 2nd electric circuit under water keeps the left door closed for a moment at 5:08, allowing you to pass the screen safely. Without that, deadly lasers will instantly shoot at you. As their height is somehow randomized, it appears that they can shoot above you several times in a row if you're lucky enough, giving you the opportunity to pass the screen without dying. The last electric circuit is supposed to shuts the lights at 6:06 down, allowing you to run over the fence on the floor. But with a quick move you can trigger the first deadly laser and run before the next one. In each scenario, the game is clearly supposed to make it impossible to progress without breaking the eletric power. But for each of them we eventually found a way to do it anyway x)
Joseph Lewis You know that everytime someone asks me that, somewhere in the world there ´s a pokemon who dies, right ?... The shame, sir ! Just kidding, friend ^^ at least you didn t call me a cheater before wondering what really happens. So basically this is just a "checkpoint error". A new area/level begins after the bridge and the game only has one startpoint despite the fact that you can enter the new area from two different floors. So no matter what you do, you'll be teleported upstair. As far as I know, it happens in every single version of the game (the 3do one being the only one I did not play). It's kinda annoying because I have nothing to do in upper floor, so in a way it's a time loss, but as it's impossible (as far as I know) to avoid it, it's technically just part of the road x)
There are few moments in this video which looked like total glitches never existed in original PC version. Besides this video doesn't look like solid one time recording.
Ryszard Adamus Wow, that's kinda rude ^^' First of all, I played all versions of this great game except the 3DO one (that is absolutely awful) and most of the glitches work in every one of them. At least the path I use here is possible in every game, from snes to 20th anniversary PC, even in 3ds and GBA. For your doubts about the "solidity" of my non-segmented video, I'll answer that the SDA forum verified it and aprouved it (and god knows that they do it more seriously that sh*tty speedrun.com). I guess they aren't infallible but I'm pretty sure that their verifications goes further that just watching the video on youtube and "having the feeling there's something weird about it". Sorry, maybe I seem a little mean to you but you would understand if you passed as many time as I did to make this speedrun.
Didn't want to insult, only had a doubts. For example 4:26 moment - You took the down path of waterfall but instead got magically to the room above. But it is probably just next bug. I never experienced these bugs, but it seems i just didn't search for them :). 3DO has nice graphics, that's all.
Ryszard Adamus God damnit why no one ever remembers that xD I assure you the 4:26 thing happens in all versions ( or close enough). In fact you can see that in several playthrough/speedruns here on youtube since no one ever go upstairs first. The check point of the area is in top-floor so the game brings you there no matter by witch floor you enter the "level". It's more a programming default/omission than a bug. Weirdly enough, mr Chahi never changed it even in latest versions. It doesnt help me at all, I have nothing to do in the upper floor so I have to come back downstairs. If I wanted to make a video-montage, I would cut that part out since it actually makes me lose like 10sec x)
Ennemies must have a certain animation to kill you when you're at reach. If for a reason or another they don't do the grab thing you're safe. About lasers, most of the time those who don't kill are scripted (they don't kill if you're running). In other places, lasers don't touch you when you're distant enough. If there's a moment in the video that you want me to explain, just ask ^^
I never made it past the first couple of screens in this game as a kid. Epic.
What Doth Life the first couple hahaha exactly me too this game was insane hard as a kid
Truth, as a kid it was insane hard :D
Lmao yup, that's why I'm watching it now
Amazing, I'd have never believed this was possible, back in the day. It took me many hours to finally decipher and finish (the ending!) this game as a kid. And what a great trip that was. One of the most important games of my life.
The most eventful 8 minutes of Lester's life =|
Still true. Lez is life
Average gamer: Another world was a rather difficult game.
Speedruners : Hippity hoppity your game is now my property.
Bad Lip Reading "It's not a moon"?
I feel like I just watched an action packed movie.
Thats Another World for ya.
Wow that part at 5:00 where you went through the dude without dropping the thing on its head blew my mind.
Well damn, did in 8 minutes what took me many hours.
Bon travail de mon ami :)
I'd love to see it!
I already remade orchestral versions from both the intro and the ending.
@@GamingNostalgiaRemastered Is it on youtube ?
@@NintendoHardGamer Yes they are on my channel
Lester Knight Chaykin speeddemosarchive.com/AnotherWorld.html
Here.
Took so long to get past the flood. Still remember the ending. Many tears.
Mum: diner's ready in 10 mins. Me: starts a new another world game
Would like to see your best time on the hard version on the remaster
@@paullasky6865 never played this game since i was 8 years old so it's gonna be hard :)
This game is ridiculously difficult without a guide, just the first part before you get captured took me many many tries as a kid. I managed to beat the whole thing with a lot of help.
It was incredible! How easy you killed enemy at 5:02 was incredible. :O
Amazing speedrun! I had no idea.
I tried to translate the message with Google, the result wasn't great but I think I got the essence of it so... I'm glad you liked it ^^ It took me one hell of a time to do the whole thing. Probably the only success in my entire life =p
Oh, it's really nice of you to translate it , thanks ^^
Heh, I actually did an accidental part speedrun trick as a kid, jump-running through the guard defences after the flood pool. I always wondered what happened in that screen since after jumping the defences. After returning to the guard room there was no opposition anymore, just a mysterious body with green rubble lying in the middle of the floor.
I did it too
Man, that´s just too impressive. Thank you for share this for all of us. I love this game. I have another method to overcome the guard at 5:02 (slower of course). I duck the laser put a screen, return a little bit, jump the grenade and later was just a battle behind screens. Your method is amazing. Keep up the good work. :)
Guillermo Paniagua Valdebenito Thank you mate, I really apreciate it ^^
Your method sounds like the one I used at first ( that you can see in my good old 10:12 record).
It's totally random :p i dont duck, it s just the effect of Lester's fall. I just played until the game let me pass x/
Incroyable t'as vidéo , continue comme ça c'est super
Lester : brilliant scientist , parkour expert , marksman
Pretty cool how not having background music gives it a certain atmosphere.
Uuuuh... yes, what about that ? What is the question exactly ? x)
SDA is a website who authenticate and classify speedruns (audio/video quality, no use of cheat, final time etc...) and keep in memory only the world records for each possible category. This run is currently the best time on their website ^^
What, the whole underwater part can be skipped...?
7:40, dat epic battle
Thank you for reminding me I am such a noob hahaha
I enjoyed your speedrun! Well done!
TrioHorrorProduction Thank you so much ! If you feel insulted by my "skill", I can record myself playing FPS-games. It'll show you that being good in games is a really relative thing x)
Oh, and you're the subscriber n°100, so... Yay !
I didn't mean to keep you =P
~Alyssa
That's how I see it =p
So you're creating a game huh ? I'll be glad to play it when it'll be ready ^^ I'm kinda curious !
Thanks for the long thought ! It was really interesting !
0:18 "Nope. Not going that way."
Bravo !
6:10 - I am glad someone else figured this out. I was so proud of myself when I did it first.
Aaah d'accord !
I used to replay the demo of this over and over because I didnt have any other games. So cool to see the entire game.
Wich part of the game was ? And wich plateform ? PC ? I didn't even know that such a thing existed :)
@@suckstobeyou2623 Yep! I played the same demo! It also had others on it one of them being Lord of The Rings Vol. 1 which I replayed a lot too.
Even though this is sped up ever so slightly this is still impressive.
That game needed a sequel , i loved it as a kid.
Flashback too
It has
Heart of the Alien on Sega-CD. Play as the Alien after he returns with Lester.
I worked very hard on it and the result is very clean even if I still see minor errors here and there =p
This version (15th anniversary) doesn't have difficulty, just a "normal" and "fast" speed. I just didn't have it x)
For the last ennemy of the game, actually I could activate the "trap" a little bit earlier (when he makes his second step on the floor if I remember correctly).
If you like the ending theme... I've just uploaded a brand new orchestral remake of "Out of this World". Come check it out. I think you'll enjoy it.
@@GamingNostalgiaRemastered Thanks. I'll check it out.
Prince of Persia-Vibes. I remembering me playing this game when i was around 12 years old and i thought the full game is a movie. I sat back, the controller lying before me and i was wondering me why the game ends after the intro and the guy was under water with his table why he sinks. I love this game but it's unfair.
The creator of this game is also French, I think. He would be proud to see how you owned his game. :) Greetings from Switzerland. Alles lez bleus. ^^
I didnt get why the guy with red eyes just let him fall to his death at the last bit of the game.
...unless hes impervious to falling.
I think he just wanted to beat the shit out of him to punish him, for fucking everything up.

From experience, it always happens at 0:23 but sometimes you don't need to do it at 0:34
Ótimo vídeo, parabens

Such a good game.
Up-to-date? x)
Anyway, the only tip that I can give you about the 5:04 section is...
Oh and don't get me wrong I don't want you to give up if your wish actually is to make a new record ^^ I would be a doosh to think like that !

not familiar with any glitches in the game, but at about 4:24 he goes right pass the bottom waterfall and ends up somehow on the second level just above it? am i missing something here?
Yup. Happens in every version of the game, it' some kind of checkpoint error. Can't avoid it saddly (I have nothing to do in upper floor).
Bravo !
Your first
Years of practise
impressive.
Errr, TH-cam doesn't work as well on smartphone ^^
As I said (you can find it somewhere down below xD) "it's totally random :p i dont duck, it s just the effect of Lester's fall.
4:26 - 4:28 How the hell? You went in the lower level but appeared on the upper. Is that some kind of glitch?
Eventually they're gonna make a game where jumping does NOT save you time.
...so many hours i failed... and you played the game in 10 min... XD
So did I, trust me about that. I probably died at every spot and in every possible way x)
In some places it seems as though you are invincible? You run right through enemies and lasers... Is this a glitch in the game?🤔
Skipped some parts, like swimming underwater in the caves.
