NIDYANAZO R1 sportbike on slicks fast 2 lanes wide canyon powerslides and elbow dragging HWY18 CALI

  • I make no money from YT. I recommend using an adblocker. If you like the video and want to donate: www.buymeacoff... I really appreciate it!
    BTW I'm now on instagram, nidyanazo_r1 if you want to say hi, I'm going to try to start using it...I swear...
    It's difficult to make the videos how I want...In my mind I see the shots of the bike in the turns, perfect body position, perfect lines and power delivery- Like watching Marquez at his best.. But on the roads... I want to create those images I see in my head when I close my eyes... But how? I have to be able to ride a certain way which is an ongoing search for personal improvement in myself, I have to make the bike go, (I'm dedicated to the 07 08 4c8 R1 platform because I love it) which takes $$ and time, not to mention knowledge.. Getting the suspension to work right, making the feeling of the machine so it fluidly responds and gives me the feedback I want.. Hell, JUST suspension tuning is an art in itself (Dave moss anyone?) but the entire bike must be setup and maintained. By me. Then to get the images, I have to direct others, setup the locations of cameras (I wish I could film myself riding- but you cant be in 2 places at the same time) so in the end I'm never satisfied.
    But I put in all my effort to do better and better, and you guys are my motivation. I want to show something inspiring and push the limits. I try to communicate the techniques I use, so others can benefit.. And for both riders and non riders, I try to convey the feelings of speed and movement that you get when riding a bike fast... I hope it comes across well.
    ------------------------------
    So: This is a wide 2 lane mountain road with a high speed section first, then a more technical bit. Notice the trailbraking into the turns, and how I'm putting the power down coming out of the corners- right on the limit of grip with the SC0 slicks.
    Big changes to the bike; with gearing to reach 13k-rpm in 6th by the end of the longest straight, full Ohlins forks/ttx shock, new ti sato exhaust system, wideband o2 tuning with superbike unlimited/ftecu flashing, and more. You'll see..
    OH- DO NOT BUY a SpeedAngle timer. Terrible.
    Hope you guys like the video!

      That's my same line of thought. I've done my share of pushing it on the streets, but at his level of riding there's too many variables that can send him against the concrete barrier, or worse, off the bridge. All top level riders have crashed their fair share, the difference has been runoff areas and air fences. Crash at those speeds on public roads and it's going to be very painful at best.

    So since you don't have a slipper clutch, when you backing in while hard braking, do you feather the clutch out to align the wheels before you release the front brake and commit to the corner? This is more a track thing I guess, but I believe you have lots of track experience too

    • @shivastrue
      @shivastrue ปีที่แล้ว +5

      If you don't have a slipper clutch you have to work the clutch a little otherwise you lock up/get shatters in the rear

    • @KeyserSoze5421
      @KeyserSoze5421 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The 4c8 has a slipper clutch from standard, the 2007 was the first R1 to have it except for the 2006 SP model.

      I actually miss not having a slipper clutch as I find the slippers slip too much, coming in hot and feathering the clutch to prevent chatter just makes me feel the bike is more of an extension of myself.
      When the time comes I may dump the slipper on my 14’ ZX10R which has no abs nor do I use the TC. Unless I total it I will never sell that bike, I enjoy it more than the 23’ Panigale V4S.

      @@KeyserSoze5421 lol I guess I should look into that. Seriously though when it needs to be opened up I’m just going to an old school configuration. The bike has never needed to be opened up for anything, it’s had a 2 electrical hiccups and that’s it.

    dude i gotta start with saying mad props, thats fucking mad. also for anyone else thinking about trying this be super careful in these mountains. highway 18 gets random debris you dont see until its too late, especially any season outside of summer and if its windy dont even try. ive lived up here for 27 years and ive personally seen two dead riders being picked up, one was at the corner he took at 5:09 right before the corner with the gravel pit on the opposite side. just this summer theres already been 3 motorcycle fatalities. just be super careful, especially since they installed the center guard rail a few years back youre just not allowed to fall. i love riding too its just this aint the right road unless youre someone like this dude. i dont know if theres a way to find the records but i swear it seems like at least 10 riders die every year here. also FYI CHP usually arent there from like 3am-7am ish and again from like 3pm-5pm ish, at least thats when ive had the best luck in my car.

    Damn, this motorcycle have seen a lot of slides. Hard working machine indeed. I love the low elbow, that't the way to ride. However, I love my ZX14R so much, I don't want to scratch it, therefore I will never do anything similar.... Shit, this motorcycle is ridden properly. Keep up the good work !

    No comments on driving part , truly exceptional.
    but i have small suggestion regarding video editing , can you post uncut version of all camera angles for full run.
    For me personally i like the stable fuel tank cam, it really shows the bike behaviour....can clearly see powerslides that way.
    some may like to see only riding position camera for entier run , and some like outside views only.
    so if possible post full run on just one camera and then on other and so on.....this will be more enagaging video imo, the camera cuts ruins the momentum.

    How many miles are on this bike now? I so love that you stick with the old school gen R1. They are my favorite. Both the 04/06 and 07/08. Have you ever had to get into that engine? Being how hard you run it I would think it’s been torn down before. I usually stick with 04-06 because there are many 07/08 out there with the valve guide issue.

      @@EuropeanDreamz right I agree but the 07/08 have been known to grenade from valve guide issues. I’ve always loved the 07/08 but have steered clear from them because of this. I know people who have had them with very bad luck while others have no issues whatsoever. My bikes get a lot of babying riding with my wife and them getting clogged up has never happened with me. But I do make sure she gets blown out Everytime I’m out as well.
