I just ordered and received two IYV's from Amazon. They arrived in two days and in good shape. Honestly i consider these guitars to be among the very best for their price range. Thanks for the heads up guys. I have the spalted maple Thinline style and the emerald green LP style. Very pleased with both of them and even though we pay considerably more in Canada than the USA , I don't think one can find anything as good at that price point. Again, thank you.
I have 2 of those guitars , a yellow and white Jaguar type copy, and the exact guitar you are showing (tete style) with that finish which I'm happy to hear from you that it is not a sticker and real wood. Both guitars play very well and I was pleasantly surprised. I was going to resell them but now I've decided to keep them, and they will remain part of my collection. I'm definately an IYV fan I own 4 myself, hoping with the retooling Amazon will get some different colors in. You need to review a new company called Censtar they look just like the latitude headless models but are seriously 40 to 50$ cheaper.

I don't remember if I saw you two reviewing the two IYV Strat Style guitars with the Neck Thru build. They are the (IYV IP-300-TSB) and the (IYV ISSY-200NA). They are so well made and sound so good that I got both of them at the same time. I have never done that before. If you haven't reviewed them you should. They are awesome guitars.
I have 3 IYV guitars, including the tele you showed. But I did a pickup change to Seymore Duncans and put a holoflash finish over the spalted top and on the headstock. It looks awesome and sounds better.

I have two of the IYV tele style so far so good I put very little money into them and ended up with two very usable instruments keep up the good work guys.
They got everything fixed. I've got six out of the guitars and not one of them has a fender headstock except one. I have the acoustasonic style, the acoustasonic is the only one with the fender head style. I have their green Les Paul too I absolutely love it

Just saw your video and subscribed. Very cool song at the end. I have that IYV telecaster style with the semi hollow body and the P-90's and red flame maple top that you said you wanted to get. It is an amazing guitar! I think I know why Fender is pushing IYV to change the headstock shape....I found out a few months ago that IVY are the makers of the Harley Benton guitars. With their popularity and success, they are taking a BIG bite out of Fender's Squier lineup.

I like your reviews. I call them IVY. They should change their name. Anyway. I have seen several of your videos. I own that exact tele you are holding. I love it. I want to get the IJ GAP-300 when I get paid. That is why I watched this review. It was an extra bonus to see you holding my tele as well. Good to know that Spalted Maple top is real wood. I was never quite sure about that. I liked it anyway and it is great to play. As of today April 27, 2024 there are still IJ GAP-300's in stock. Hope they still have one left on May 8......... Good song.

Instead of the 'open book' headstock on Les Paul models, I'd like to see IYV put a hockey stick HS or the 'arrow' shape HS Gibson puts on Flying V's. I believe the tuning stability on both of these styles is better than the 'open book' shape. Not only that, but they would look cool on a Les Paul or SG style guitar. Gibson has already done this, but those are rare models, like the Aldo Nova LP and the Billy Gibbons SG.
You guys didn’t break into my house to get my IYV F hole what you call it, my Green LP clone could become a collector guitar? The green finish is fantastic and I got one a few years ago with the abolone inlay headstock. Wanted the AcustoIYV but wife said a new one comes another goes. I think Fender is barking at the moon! The day of budget guitars is here! Price gouging is unacceptable! Minor issues for a couple of millimeters in a simple design is ridiculous... It's a freaking guitar not Lamborghini 😂
I have two IYV guitars and have bonded well with both. I have lots of guitars from affordable clones to vintage 50's & 60's ... not sure how many. Point is that I'll have to buy at least another IYV just to support a company that is doing the right thing.
I've done a few reviews of the IYV brand. Real nice for the price, all in all. My only complaints would be on the Red PRS Tele style (P-90's) is it's neck heavy and a real drag to play standing up. Neck drop. For the most part, good guitars, though don't expect them to play or sound like a vintage Gibson or Fender. Fun gig guitars that you won't have to worry much about. Rock on. Excellent Vox at the end, btw!
What do you think this might do to the Value of our current IYV guitars. That puts a limited number of their current guitars in peoples hands so not that it matters but do you think our current IYV’s would rise in value?
I'm not sure because they were not sued so it's not like a rare lawsuit guitar however these after some time I think would be vintage IYV guitars compared to the newer models.

I bought the Les Paul first. I loved that guitar so much I bought the other two the next week. I own hi $$$ named brand Guitars but I love these guitars just as much. A true IYV fan.

Liking my IYV ip350 with it's amazing action, and my ultra cheap Donner Telecaster upgraded with Wilkinson Alnico Pickups.The Donner sounds so good out of my 100w Boss Katana, that seems underserved out of such inexpensive equipment.ordered some P90 pickups for the IYV IP350 because they seem to belong to that guitars sound.

I just saw pallets of their les paul go by in an auction, more than 200. So, more likely Gibson, not fender, or else they wouldn't sell all their emeralds
IYV Guitars are about as good of a budget guitar as you can get. I hope they are just re-positioning themselves. I want one of those Acoustasonic rip-offs. Man that is one sweet guitar. I need to try to find one. I also hope they don't completely screw up their newly designed head-stocks. Like the HORRIBLE looking hawk beek garbage that Monoprice throws on all of their ugly guitars. Love this new music, Fellas!
IYV guitars are Great. So far I have 2. The IP-350 prs, and the ijz 300. Awesome. I want that Acoustasonic though. These iyv guitars are the working man guitars at a Great value for the working person who can't afford the Overpriced originals. Hate to hear about the Copyright issues. Good video. 👊😎
I’m not exactly sure how companies like Gibson and Fender can get away with copyright infringement claims over design choices. There are plenty of legal precedents in which the courts ruled that design elements can’t be copyrighted (for example, Jeep tried to sue Hummer because Hummer was using a grille design with seven vertical slats, similar to theJeep design… it was thrown out). I guess my lack of understanding on that matter probably explains why I’m not a lawyer. Lol. Now, having said that, I cannot, for the life of me, understand why any new and upcoming guitar company would want to use exactly the same designs as another established company. First of all, it’s kind of like begging people to try to do some nefarious things in the used gear market. Second, how many companies have already tried this in the past and ended up going out of business because of the resulting lawsuits? There have to be dozens, at least! Third, why wouldn’t you want to create something unique??? I mean, if you want to establish yourself as something special, why copy the other guy? If you do, people will just always think of your products as knock-offs or wannabes. Anyway… I’ve never seen one of these guitars in person, but I hear great things about them, along with a lot of other newly emerged guitar companies that all seem to be making great impressions. Interestingly, though, every one I find out about by viewing various reviews on TH-cam become impossible to find in stock as soon as the videos get a few views. That makes me think that they’re probably being made on a limited-production scale, which in turn makes me believe that the quality is probably going to suffer a bit once production is stepped up. Anyway, I’m sure it’s good for the market.
Well, to begin, thanks for watching, and thanks for your support. After owning a few of these now the quality is pretty good, being from Vietnam as opposed to China. There is a difference. I think copying a style to appeal to recognizable shapes is the thought of sales. Now that there us traction and a market for them, they are also making custom designs now and making a better quality instrument. The iconic shapes are what people go for and tried and true designs, and by just changing it up enough, they are making a market for themselves. You should definitely try one!
I hate the poor practices of many corporations. I get patenting certain things, but things like the shape of a guitar headstock (that doesn't impact use) or, say, the "nemesis" system in video games... shouldn't be allowed to be patented.
I got 2 of the green emerald iyv les pauls. I have a epiphone standard les paul. And i have a gibson les paul studio. And one epiphone jr. The iyv guitars should scare gibson. Why. Because so far those cheap les pauls are selling like hot cakes. Plus the fact they sound and play very close to a gibson. I actually think they're blowing the epiphone models away. I'm going to put fat cat P90s in one of iyv pauls. Then do a comparison against the gibson. You guys sound great. Great song at the end.
PS, don't push your singing voice past its range. You're only hurting the end product. Take a lesson from Bob Seger music. He made a legendary career out of staying in his limited range.
We really like these guitars. The electronics are what you expect however, the build quality is very good. No complaints here we actually ordered 3 more! And they keep improving them.
Really who cares who's head stock or Body they copy, as long as they,,,must put their logo/ name on it. Long as they don't try to make it a fake copy, ie, use the fender, Gibson name, that's my two cents😊
Big name companies should leave these other companies alone and worry more about building better budget series guitars and the people would follow! Doing this crap pushes lifelong players like myself away from the big names!
@@intothestudio1 that's exactly what I'm saying, I have guitars I play gigs with and ones that stay safely at home. I have learned over the years how to make a budget guitar do what a high end big name does to make it worthy, and I don't risk my high end stuff anymore working the bars and dives! Gibson and fender and so on could be making bottom barrel budget instruments but they refuse to, they are too good for that, but not too good to leave the ones who do alone. They need less lawyers and better product developers!
Best thing that IYV can do for their product line is rename their brand to IVY.

I have a Grote version of the 335. I wonder how the Iyv stacks up against it. I love semi hollow bodies like the 335.
I have the firefly version and I absolutely love it. I plan on getting an IYV one to compare the two. And maybe a grote to compare all 3

I think all these good budget line guitars are a real competition for big name brands. I have been ahappy with almost all of them.

Liking my IYV ip350 with it's amazing action, and my ultra cheap Donner Telecaster upgraded with Wilkinson Alnico Pickups.The Donner sounds so good out of my 100w Boss Katana, that seems underserved out of such inexpensive equipment.ordered some P90 pickups for the IYV IP350 because they seem to belong to that guitars sound.
That's awesome. I'm sure it would sound killer with p90s. I am really loving almost all of the good budget brands!

No they changed the headstock and a few tweaks to avoid any legal problems. They are back in stock on Amazon.

speaking of les paul style... why cant i find a review on the iyv-ilp-400 fr what do you think the fr stands for? Floyd Rose, correct! las paul with a floyd? and no review? would you not agree this guitar deserves a review? by the way, just goes to show the type of impact these budget guitars are having the big boys! fender couldnt maybe lower their price a little? instead they are attacking iyv for copying the all mighty fender strat headstock! im surprised iyv gave in, clearly not copied!!! so please do that review on the iyv-ilp-400 fr... greatly appreciate it!! take care

IYV Guitars are about as good of a budget guitar as you can get. I hope they are just re-positioning themselves. I want one of those Acoustasonic rip-offs. Man that is one sweet guitar. I need to try to find one. I also hope they don't completely screw up their newly designed head-stocks. Like the HORRIBLE looking hawk beek garbage that Monoprice throws on all of their ugly guitars. Love this new music, Fellas!

Jimmy Z...You know, once you own a guitar, you're not required to keep the headstock shape if you hate it. All you need is a jigsaw and sand paper.
If fender were any good... they shouldn't have to worry about it.
IYV guitars are Great. So far I have 2. The IP-350 prs, and the ijz 300. Awesome. I want that Acoustasonic though. These iyv guitars are the working man guitars at a Great value for the working person who can't afford the Overpriced originals. Hate to hear about the Copyright issues. Good video. 👊😎

I’m not exactly sure how companies like Gibson and Fender can get away with copyright infringement claims over design choices. There are plenty of legal precedents in which the courts ruled that design elements can’t be copyrighted (for example, Jeep tried to sue Hummer because Hummer was using a grille design with seven vertical slats, similar to theJeep design… it was thrown out).
I guess my lack of understanding on that matter probably explains why I’m not a lawyer. Lol.
Now, having said that, I cannot, for the life of me, understand why any new and upcoming guitar company would want to use exactly the same designs as another established company. First of all, it’s kind of like begging people to try to do some nefarious things in the used gear market. Second, how many companies have already tried this in the past and ended up going out of business because of the resulting lawsuits? There have to be dozens, at least! Third, why wouldn’t you want to create something unique??? I mean, if you want to establish yourself as something special, why copy the other guy? If you do, people will just always think of your products as knock-offs or wannabes.
Anyway… I’ve never seen one of these guitars in person, but I hear great things about them, along with a lot of other newly emerged guitar companies that all seem to be making great impressions. Interestingly, though, every one I find out about by viewing various reviews on TH-cam become impossible to find in stock as soon as the videos get a few views. That makes me think that they’re probably being made on a limited-production scale, which in turn makes me believe that the quality is probably going to suffer a bit once production is stepped up.
Anyway, I’m sure it’s good for the market.
Well, to begin, thanks for watching, and thanks for your support. After owning a few of these now the quality is pretty good, being from Vietnam as opposed to China. There is a difference. I think copying a style to appeal to recognizable shapes is the thought of sales. Now that there us traction and a market for them, they are also making custom designs now and making a better quality instrument. The iconic shapes are what people go for and tried and true designs, and by just changing it up enough, they are making a market for themselves. You should definitely try one!

I hate the poor practices of many corporations. I get patenting certain things, but things like the shape of a guitar headstock (that doesn't impact use) or, say, the "nemesis" system in video games... shouldn't be allowed to be patented.

I got 2 of the green emerald iyv les pauls. I have a epiphone standard les paul. And i have a gibson les paul studio. And one epiphone jr. The iyv guitars should scare gibson. Why. Because so far those cheap les pauls are selling like hot cakes. Plus the fact they sound and play very close to a gibson. I actually think they're blowing the epiphone models away. I'm going to put fat cat P90s in one of iyv pauls. Then do a comparison against the gibson. You guys sound great. Great song at the end.

We really like these guitars. The electronics are what you expect however, the build quality is very good. No complaints here we actually ordered 3 more! And they keep improving them.

Really who cares who's head stock or Body they copy, as long as they,,,must put their logo/ name on it. Long as they don't try to make it a fake copy, ie, use the fender, Gibson name, that's my two cents😊

I don't know why any manufacturer would even copy that design. I've hated how antique and ugly it is ever since I was a kid.
Big name companies should leave these other companies alone and worry more about building better budget series guitars and the people would follow! Doing this crap pushes lifelong players like myself away from the big names!
I agree to a point I do get the patent part but sometimes they get out of control. To be honest these budget guitars are really becoming awesome!
@@intothestudio1 that's exactly what I'm saying, I have guitars I play gigs with and ones that stay safely at home.
I have learned over the years how to make a budget guitar do what a high end big name does to make it worthy, and I don't risk my high end stuff anymore working the bars and dives! Gibson and fender and so on could be making bottom barrel budget instruments but they refuse to, they are too good for that, but not too good to leave the ones who do alone.
They need less lawyers and better product developers!
