    Worked on forearm rotations with a club in hand to help get the feeling of squaring the club face; I treated this like a workout and did a ton of sets and reps at a time. Went to the range today and what a world of difference in ball contact, distance, and flight. I was/still am hooking the crap out of the ball, but I think it’s because I’ve been so used to compensating with my upper body to keep the ball in play. Messed around and felt like I was pushing the club out to 1st base while maintaining the “club squaring drill” and striped several with a slight draw. Needless to say, this works! Just have to keep up with the drills and know that things won’t be perfect the first several range sessions. Thanks, Adam! Will have to hit you up if I find myself on a vacation in Florida.

    I think 2:50 to 3:00 is the best part of this helpful video. And 6:30 to 7:00 is great as well. Thanks!

    Adam, I know this is an older video but this is a great explanation of the “sequence” of the swing. Great as always

    I really like every one of your videos that I have watched. I am a really good slicer, but every once in a while, I hit one straight, always wondering what I did to hit it straight? I'm learning a lot from you. Can't thank you enough.

      Thanks very much Gary! I’m guessing you squared the club face up through impact on the good ones.

    Excellent video! Where in the swing do you snap your wrist? Do you try to time it with contact? When the downswing starts? Just exactly when does this “ snapping” of the wrists occur?

      Ideally, as late as possible, but you have to get the club square at impact. As in other things in the golf swing, playful practice will help you dial in what works for you.

    Interesting. I tend to correct a slice with a more baseball bat swing, but that snap of the steering wheel Is worth investigating. Thanks.g

    I am still slicing with these tips & I can tell it's open club face still even when starting closed. When I close it more, I keep topping the ball. Any tips to fix these issues? Thanks Adam.

    • @Scratchgolfacademy

      Nick do slower and smaller scale until you can get face closed. I’d look at one or two of the grip videos at this channel also
      Thanks

    My ball usually goes left to right, but when it hits the ground it goes wildly to the right with the spin. Why is there so much spin on the ball & will whipping club help that?

    • @Scratchgolfacademy
      @Scratchgolfacademy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Closing the club (so face is aimed more left at impact) will help.

    When placing the driver shaft in your lead hand, should the face be square, hooked, or should you let the driver naturally sit on the ground and then place in your lead hand?

    • @Scratchgolfacademy

      Yes Gary, that's what I recommend. I have full courses, including the grip in detail at www.scratchgolfacademy.com

    The key for me always drawing the ball has been the stance. Closed slightly like in a batter's box. Thanks Adam

      They do Neil, but they won't cure a big slice.

    Here’s my question. I’m able to hit my fairway woods “straight”, when it comes to my driver(wtf) 90 percent slice!!! Why

    • @Scratchgolfacademy
      @Scratchgolfacademy  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The primary reason is that the ball curves more (assuming same impact conditions) when the club has less loft. It’s the physics of it, without a long boring explanation
