Another note on Appetance (the Stasis Trace) - the Dragon's Vengeance origin trait refills your magazine whenever you hit critical health or an ally dies, and this does not reset Killing Tally. Between the Origin Trait, Demolitionist, and Cenotaph Mask, I'm able to keep Killing Tally x3 up almost constantly and never need to perform a full reload.

Does demo not reset killing tally? Haven’t had any drop to test but if that’s the case it feels like a no brainer to use demo over overflow
@@Beeg_DaddyG correct. The only things that reset KT are swapping weapons or a full reload. "Refill" effects like Demo, Slideshot etc. don't remove the effect.
The only exception is Hunter's reload dodge, which is specifically coded to count as a full reload.

Just so everyone knows precision instrument doesn’t require precision hits only hits so even if you miss a crit as long as you hit you keep the buff
If you don’t hit the crit you don’t get the damage buff on the shot (also linear fusion non-precision damage is garbage), so it’s still not ideal.

Anything with kinetic tremors is always on my radar. It usually takes enough shots to activate, that by the time it's time to swap off primary, it has popped. Aside from that, this season in particular really feels like "We made weapons that plug holes in perk/archetype possibilities that weren't available yet".
It has been my favorite perk in the game since it was added.
yes but as KTs hit requirment are balanced by weapon type and not rpm/archetype (eg scouts need 6 hits to activate), its waaay less useful on slow firing archetypes
edit: i just noticed you could also talk about breakneck or tigerspite and not imperative which rn would be the only autorifles with KT and thus also the fastest...
@@sirpr3ce855fastest proc kinetic tremors is the showrunner kinetic 900rpm smg, I haven't put it down since I got it last season procs tremors in like 18 bullets and the tremors do the most damage aswell its really good gun
For this season, Tigerspite or Breakneck w/kinetic tremors is pretty damn nice against overload champions.

12:13 Attrition orbs is overall sustained damage, not single target, so clearing adds with say subsistence/attrition orb subjunctive with it's nano-munitions origin perk can create a lotta orbs for armor charge / "orb pick up does X" mods.
Edit: It's worth noting orb generation works like other orb generation, meaning that for you orbs are made on the target you damage but I presume for allies it makes the orbs at your feet.
ooh, that's a clever call. I was thinking subsistence + tricorn + the origin trait for minimizing reloads, since subsistence benefits a LOT from being able to kill things in fewer bullets, and that in turn gives you more time to stack up the origin trait to get a bigger refill when you do run out, etc etc
Wonder if the strength of the orbs generated by the attrition orb perk is affected by helm mod stacking? If so, could be a great way of generating super energy
Fun fact, when you make orbs or ammo for your teammates, they pop out of your neck. It's pretty funny to see if you've never seen it before.
Heal Clip + Incandescent on the pulse is extremely good, especially for the general playerbase that isnt god tier at everything. Enhanced heal clip lasts a long while, heals your fireteam, and heals for a decent chunk. Especially potent in activities where you need to be near team mates to get any healing, and they decide to fuck off and die over in narnia somewhere.
I can attest to Scatter Signal being absolutely crazy, i used 5 harmonizers on it day one and it's my new favorite special weapon
Its really good, I crafted it this morning and I've been soloing dungeons with it all day. It's so fun.
Its also one of the only rapid fires with half decent stats for PvP, I think it actually has the best overall stats for a rapid fire too. The stats still aren't as good as precisions, adaptives and high impacts of course. But they're good enough for it to possibly be worth actually running. With something like kickstart, or even under-over has some unique applications on a rapid fire in PvP.
Got a hammerforged, Ionized Batter, autoloading + chillclip Riptide with a range masterwork.
I find myself still using that over Scatter Signal since a single projectile from a burst is all that's needed to stun an overload. Stasis weapons also do extra damage this season (while radiant, damage to slowed targets is increased. Also one of the last seasonal mods increase stasis shatter damage)
Gonna be using Polaris Lance (deals with both anti barrier and unstoppable) and riptide for this season's GM since they cover all champs effectively.
I might try out Scatter Signal next season though 😅
Woof… that feels like a waste of harmonizers I crafted it week one without a single harmonizer. I keep those for raid weapons.
Why would you use deepsight harms on it 😭😭 You can literally focus it at Riven and get red borders ever 3-4 guns.
@@eerysimpsguess some peps have all the others already done so nothing to spend harmonizers on except new weapons. Not me though, I'm still missing tons lol.
Quick note on barrels: because all guns now have deterministic recoil, recoil direction no longer always makes recoil patterns tighter. It instead makes recoil patterns more horizontally consistent with respect to their recoil pattern. For example, the recoil on the new IB ar, Lethal Abundance, goes strong right for around 10 shots, then slight left for the rest of the mag. Higher recoil direction actually makes it go further right, then less left. If you want more info on how recoil direction works now, I’d recommend Coolguy’s video on Belisarius-D.
TL;DR play around with your weapons at different recoil directions, arrowhead isn’t always the best choice anymore.

Yep its also why I think Arrowhead break isn't the go-to for several weapons that otherwise have them. A weapon like Fang of Ir Yut I believe has crazy horizontal recoil to where aiming in one direction is quicker than the other as the gun pulls on way. If you don't want to use a counter balance, I can see using Arrowhead instead as it also has low handling.
But as you said tldr: Try different weapons out before immediately changing the recoil stat as it may either not need it or may change the recoil enough to make it potentially worse.
So what i discovered from Saladin’s Dark Decider (for Subjunctive discussion) is that Subsistence DOES have synergy with Voltshot but it’s in its application, not in its activation; if you get kills off the jolt effect to nearby enemies while the jolted enemy lives, subsistence will activate off of those jolt kills, letting you shoot bigger jolted target for longer while still letting you add clear, especially since jolt as a debuff lasts a hot second as well, further incentivizing you to use your jolt application on a bigger target
Yeah it’s only not synergistic because it doesn’t boost the reload speed. Otherwise it’s a good perk especially on a 900rpm smg, these have great base reload. Also never had a problem with subsistence refilling the mag and making it impossible to reload since you can just hold the trigger a bit longer to shoot one more bullet and reload that. If it were overflow or something like that that would not be good but sub is fine
19:48 - Ok, hear me out: it's bonus Gambit rep this week, there will be a seasonal challenge at some point to get the ornament from all ritual activities (help get the big bright dust drop at the end) and you might get a good Breakneck 😊
25 matches later, I reset my rep once and I lucked out and got a Fluted/ricochet/Subsistence/Onslaught/Range MW and am looking forward to trying it out 🙂
The saddest thing about the new Breakneck is that Rampage and Onslaught are in the same column so you can’t get the original pinnacle roll
If i recall correctly though, Onslaught no longer reduces damage, so its also a fantastic damage perk now.
What makes me even sadder is Bungie changed the OG pinnacle Breakneck to have subsistence instead of rampage for some reason. So now ya really can't rampage + onslaught. I'm sure it's a good combo, but I think it woulda been nice to have the original pinnacle weapon left alone.

I got a reconstruction/bipod crux and it is *chefs kiss* if you do any sort of swapping, 4 rockets ready on opening, and 2+ when you swap back without ever reloading feels so nice
I wanna give a lil shout out to Optative for the roll of Permeability + Tricorn, specifically for Strand and Stasis builds. Permeability opens up the option for having a Strand or Stasis weapon in your energy slot, and Tricorn just helps play into that buildcraft-style synergy you get with that roll. It's still a 180 hand cannon, it's honestly not great, but it's unique for the moment. I might look out for this roll on more desirable weapons in the future.
It’s also good with Demo/Repulsor and Tricorn for void ability spam builds like Contra or Briars. And I find 180 hand cannons actually feel pretty decent nowadays, especially since you can fairly easily keep a huge damage boost up with Tricorn
@@TheFawse I've got a Word of Crota from last season with Demo + Frenzy, although for people that don't raid often Optative can be a solid pick for sure.

@@Just_Amatuer in anything harder than a strike you won't be getting ability kills to proc tricon, those abilities aren't made to kill, theyre all made to slow, or freeze, or suspend, etc and deal puny damage (exception being grapple melee and titans strand melee).
I wanna know what Bungie was thinking when they made the rapid fire arc pulse, since we just got a Craftable arc rapid fire pulse last season. Also, why is 10% of the crafted guns pulse rifles?
They've reached a point of reskinning and reselling weapons, where they just don't give af anymore what weapon types they're even making anymore lmao. I don't even remember the last weapon I needed badly to get from a season. Haunted? calus mini tool and maybe the void machine gun that was in season of seraph.
I'd honesly wish they'd stop putting their focus on getting overpowered in seasonal activities, and more so in their dungeons/ raids. All the crotas end weapons suck ass, root of nightmares sucks ass, all the dungeons suck ass. Like what are people even grinding to get good for anymore? GM's?? They just give u shitty weapons as well lol. The only thing I could see a valid reason for getting them is some very niche build in PVP, not PVE. But PVP content is trash as well , no fun to be had in there after 10-20 matches.
I don't even give af about power creep anymore. If people are paying for the newest content to get more and more geared up/ powerful, I say fuck the old content. Give us something to actually play for. But we all know this is just 0.1% of the problems with destiny 2 and Bungie.
if you like the Scalar Potential weapon model and scope, and want to craft one for PvE, I suggest going with Permeability + Golden Tricorn. Permeability addresses GT’s number one weakness, which is that you’re required to run matching subclasses to your weapon’s element in order to proc GT x2. Permeability allows you to get x2 regardless of subclass, by doing weapon kill -> class ability -> ability kill. you can also go class ability -> weapon kill -> ability kill. the gun is worth a craft just for this capability alone. for PvP, go with Keep Away / Headseeker and have fun shredding everyone.
it’s not as good as Oversoul Edict for PvE, but it’s got some juice to do neat things. addressing GT’s main weakness has actually allowed me to run the perk for the first time ever lol.
Golden tricorn x2 is a stronger buff (50% for 10 seconds) just to clarify on Dattos statement at 9:05

I gotta recommend deconstruct on stasis titan. It’s really good at blowing up crystals quickly with ammo efficiency
I think it's also worth bringing up (for anyone reading the above comment) that Deconstruct is a 2 part perk. Increased damage to constructs and vehicles is one part. The 2nd part is partially refilling the magazine. Both trigger on dealing sustained damage regardless of what you're shooting.
So you can have Deconstruct proc while you're killing ads or shooting a boss to proc the perk, getting partial ammo back, and if there are any crystals or whatever else to shoot you'll have the buff time up. The buff also refreshes so as long as you're continuously doing damage you have high up time as well as great mag capacity.
If vouchsafe 3.0 had timed payload instead of explosive payload, it would great for gyrfalcons builds because you can apply and break the volatile in one shot (maybe idk if that would work tho) which could be pretty good. Although collective obligation is by far the best for gyrfalcons builds

onslaught and discord on the strand auto fully reloads auto after activation with your weapon, allowing you to keep x3 onslaught going very well. Also Plays well into the switching to special weapon to get a kill then swaping back to out put a lot of DPS with your primary
I'm really enjoying the Ros Arago IV right now. I got a repulsor/onslaught roll to drop, so I dusted off my gyrfalcons, and it shreds through most enemies, often even majors if onslaught is stacked! If you can manage to get a nice onslaught roll to drop, I highly recommend for the fun factor!
Been rocking a Controverse voidlock with a repulser/destabilizing vouchsafe and witherhoard, it feels pretty nice with weakening grenades in the Coil, high survivability with full devour and the shields from repulser, great ad clear too

subjunctive is my favorite gun of all time, i'm so happy they brought it back. had 9k kills on my original version and the new one with stats for all + voltshot absolutely shreds

I got a Heal Clip+Dynamic Sway Parabellum and I’ve been loving it. It comes with a short list of great perks plus the Field Tested origin trait which is just so freaking good!
I really appreciate the Dreaming City weapon updates, I think they’re the proper tier of mid for location weapons lmao I will say, im super confused by rewind rounds and reconstruction on world weapons? I thought those were raid exclusive perks? Kinda wish that stayed the case
I gotta gas up subjunctive a bit more cause even if you have an ikelos, the origin trait on the season 8 reissues is REALLY good, especially for the subjunctive. Threat Detector/Voltshot and then with the origin trait, you can keep firing for a LONG LONG time. EACH stack reloads 9 shots back into the mag so at max stacks (which I believe is 7) its absolutely crazy and you could keep firing into a target you jolted to proc the effect very quickly. Do recommend, its a VERY fun weapon.
Got Subsistance Onslaught on my breakneck after a bit of grinding. Luckily it only costs one gambit engram to focus it so just by leveling up you get quite a few chances.
So far, it's great, but I wouldn't say it's as great as it was in the past given the power creep we've had since it left. Though it's REALLY fun to use the substance roll PLUS Actium War Rig.
Optative is a sleeper pick, especially since 180 HCs have been quite good since the buff. In PvE you can roll Demo or Repulsor plus Tricorn, super good on ability spam builds like Contra or Briar Voidlocks, and in PvP you get Keep Away and Tricorn for range and easy kill-chaining. I already got Demo + Tricorn randomly, and since I’ve been gravitating to HCs this season I’m going to craft Repulsor + Tricorn for my Contra build. Easy 50% damage buff, overshield + DR, with full heals from Devour

Retold Tale is hitting so good. I didn't use shotguns much, but my first run of Shattered Throne, I got a range mw, with full range perks, Quickdraw, and snapshot. It MURDERS in Crucible. Last night, I got a Lead From Gold/ 1-2-Punch roll and it is doing some work with my Titan strand build. Overflow and Kinetic Tremors on Tigerspite is gorgeous. Got the god roll last night. It's nice to have that combo on an auto instead of an smg for a bit of range.

For Lethophobia I will say that Repulsor Brace / Golden Tricorn is rather synergistic for void lock if you have low ability cooldowns, love it with the magnetic grenade and high discipline. Dragons vengeance procks rather often and reduces charge rate on top of that.

I hear this type of talk about the new weapons quite often from youtubers. While I completely understand this logic from the point of someone who has played the game as long as we have, I am curious how these weapons would look to someone who was completely new to the game. The new Void auto-rifle is pretty dope, and while I do have a really good Gnawing hunger, many people aren't able to get that anymore and the new rifle is there best bet. Looking at new weapons from the perspective of what is currently accessible makes many of these weapons look really nice.
Just trying to help show why and how weapons are created for each season/addition to the game. Hope this helps and love the content!
That's a problem I have with a lot of content creators and weapon reviews. If it ain't best in slot, it's not even worth a second to look at. Or they overlooked something because they have weapons no longer attainable that are better.
I watch these types of vids just in case *I* overlooked something potentially good. Like Destabe/Repuls on that Vouchsafe.
lethophobia with repulsor and expo head makes the explosion work with volatile, making it explode after inflicting volatile then igniting the volatile and the explosion of the arrow can also inflict volatile so very good bow for gyrfalcon hunter

I got the Crux termination with Bipod and reconstruction and if you have x3 arc reserves you can hold 15 rockets. Can start dps with 4 rockets ready.

Just an FYI you can focus for breakneck at the drifter and it only costs one engram for anyone who wants the subsistence onslaught roll
The vex offensive are really rare but if you want craftable versions the first one you unlock just keep using the engram option cause I think it’s just 1 engram instead of 2 and if you only have 1 or 2 weapons unlocked getting red borders would be easier
Kinda sucks that there isn’t anything noticeable besides the smg like it’s all primary weapons I can’t recall if there was special vex offensive wepaons but maybe they should’ve made some special/heavy vex weapons like a heavy vex bow, a GL that’s like the minotars, a special linear fusion like the hobgoblins like there’s creative ways to get more vex wepaons as legendarys
Vouchsafe was my go to void scout for pvp for a while in Voidlock however Brya’s Love has taken over. Powerful punch

New twilight oath with envious assassin has been extremely useful for long range dps encounters or encounters with far away ads that snipe you, I pretty much didn’t have a pve sniper besides omniscient eye so twilight oath was a BIG pull for me
As a void warlock I've been enjoying the Positive Outlook, got one witg Repulsor Brace and it's been going great
Every ad break in Dattos videos keep getting funnier and I cannot believe I’m admitting this: but I look forward to dattos factor/manscape/etc ads with each new video
A lot of guns with permeability and golden tricorn...very fun roll especially with how many builds there are that encourage you to spam your class ability
The repulsar brace/golden tricorn on that void bow has been doing very well for my voidlock in pve.
For people wandering, that last arc rocket launcher with Clown/Bipod gets 3 rockets per reload
Did some calculation on d2 foundry and doomed petitioner with foetracer and a well can hit 500k+ with one full reconstruction mag in a well, not adding in surges or any other buffs/debuffs
My first drop of the Ros Argo was Rewind/Onslaught. It is the first weapon to potentially replace my Gnawing Hunger.
IMO Adhorative is probably the new best PvE solar pulse in the game. Attrition Orbs + Incandescent is incredibly good as the scorch damage can also trigger the perk.

Yeah, if Datto leaves, Aztecross goes, Byf says he's had enough wow that would be some hole in Destiny 2 that couldn't be filled. Especially by anyone from Bungie (the liars from hell), lucky they make a good game.
I think if Datto is saying it's a day with D2 (depending on reasons), then a lot of other content creators will be saying the same thing and leaving a sinking ship. Personally, I think Sony will keep the Destiny IP going, it's too good to let go completely, so many people play it and if they assist Bungie in trashing D2 then Sony will lose a lot of goodwill in the gaming community that won't be able to be made up. I am moderately hopeful of a good game playing future in the Destiny world. :)

Void Auto with rewind attrition orb on void subclasses is actually pretty good keeping the Devour up makes it so much easier

Got an overflow/kinetic tremors tigerspite and that stopped me from dismantling it. Feels really nice
As a hunter player, Vouchsafe has always been a favorite of mine because it means that I can have a mobility bonus on a scout for GMs which means I can throw some stats into anything else.

Agree with most of Dattos takes here except for Lethophobia, repulsor brace gives it tons of build synergy.

I think there's definately a play to be made with recon and cascade point on the shotgun, wouldn't that essentually turn it into a legendary fourth horseman? It could be good for some chunk damage.

Gambit enthusiast here👋 I finally got Breakneck with Arrowhead, Appended, Subsistence, Onslaught, stability mw. Took me 1 1/2 rank resets. Pairs up nicely with my banner of war titan.
If anyone wants it this is the week to farm it since it's double rep and you can farm dawning materials simultaneously.
Side note, twilight oath with envious assassin can stuff 27 rounds in the mag (your entire reserve). And doomed petitioner with enhanced envious assassin can get 19 rounds in the mag(almost the entire reserve).
I've got a couple of fun drops, not tried them yet;
Breakneck - the Shoot to Loot, Kinetic Tremors roll might see some play, possibly quite good with Overload champs. Would suggest for Barrier... But Wishender exists
Crux Termination - Impact Casing / Clown Cartridge / Bipod with a Velocity MW. The Blast Radius stat is 0 lol. Might be good though

I got the Crux Termination with envious surrounded and it puts in work on the dungeon ogre boss
