I combine that shit with maximum crit chance perks and energy weapons. You can just run around melting everything with like 80% crit rate or some such nonsense.
All these people love the riot gear from lonesome roads but I prefer the good ol desert ranger combat armor because it has a awesome gritty look and I love how it looks more camouflaged than its vanilla version.
A man of culture I see! The Desert Ranger armor and Sierra Security armor are my fav sets in the game! At least aestheticly. And the Hazmat mask combined with the Assasin suit too!

@@boogit9979 it's not really about the implant itself it's what you Stack it with when you combine it with a survivalist build it get's really strong since the survival skill allows you to heal over time using food. Which when used pretty much means you almost never need any stimpaks anymore wich saves on alot of caps.
Wow. Countless playthroughs 1000s of hours played and ive never been to the deathclaw place across the river. Wtf. I remember 1 time i saw my brother playing and he found it but i must have been doing something else because i tried looking for it years later and ended with the conclusion that i had dreamt it all.
You can sneak to a sorta rock cliff on the end of the beach all the deathclaws are on and just snipe them with the anti material rifle for like 15 minutes, cause there are a LOT of them there.

light armor guy here, i always go for the gecko backed leather armor or one of the dusters from lonesome road. takes forever to put together the gecko armor but its worth it imo
I love the lonesome road dusters!!! The NCR one with the bear and the yes man one with the ace and vault number look amazing. The dusters are soooo badass. Love Joshua Graham’s armor too, I just wish it came with all the bandages when you equip it
Joseph Heaton enclave shouldn’t have existed in 3, they were completely wiped out in 2. It would be fine if there were a few enclave soldiers, rather than entire army

Even though their main operations were at the oil rig and navarro, they had other enclave bases and outposts scattered throughout the country (they lost contact with them so we don’t know how the others are doing). These guys came from the west. Still doesn’t change the fact that the Enclave shouldn’t have an entire army since they were brought to the brink and had no contact with the others
With the Jury Rigging perk, Gannon family Tesla armor is so cracked. You only need to come across a medium body armor every once in a while to keep it repaired, unlike all other power armors which you really gotta go out of your way to repair
There’s something great about F:NV as to how they show your decisions. You blow up an area? It’s totaled. You drop the radioactive barrels at Cottonwood Cove? The whole area is irradiated and the boat driver wears a rad-suit.
Love these lists so much! And the Elite Riot Gear is by far my favorite armor set. It's all the awesomeness of NCR Ranger armor with none of the faction penalties. Thanks again. Keep up the good work.
Gotta give it to Fallout 4 for making power armor look and feel like power armor. It's just dumb they're absolutely everywhere in the game. Would be more fun if they were more rare and you had your one suit that you could keep modifying and making better throughout the game.
Exactly. It was awesome feeling like a walking tanks but it also sucked having 10 different sets of power armor sitting around in racks outside the garage.
Bethesda totally overdid it with the modding in F4. And nobody really needed a T60 version of Power Armor. Plus, it was annoying af that your PA constantly got stolen from the racks around your home.
Nah they made it like shit, i preferred the power armors being like exosuits than being some bulky machinery, fallout 4 destroyed everything fallout represented.
I always really liked the Remnants Power Armor. The Tesla stuff looks a bit too goofy for me, but the regular version is just cool, and it was really neat seeing the Fallout 2 style Enclave armor in the game compared to the different looking one from 3 (though I do like that version too, just not as much).

Someting to note of riot gear helmets of all types: It is considered heavy instead of light. If you have the Jury Rigging perk you can repair it using any heavy armour, but you cant repair it with other headgear.
The T51-B has another pron, it has 2000hp so its durability is really good for hardcore runners out there, plus its an iconic legendary power armor but Gannon's tesla armor is sweet to.
josh osborne It’s that leather cap/bandana/biker goggles combo the Recruit Legionaries wear. I mean, I never support Caesar, it’s just that that item works really well with the other two I mentioned
A good alternative to the Sierra security armor is the vault 34 security armor it's light with a DT of 16 so actually 1 better than the combat armor and with the jury rig perk it can be repaired with any set of light armor which you are going to want because it has a low item health of 100 and you can get the vault 34 helmet which has a DT of 3 but an item health of 25 but with jury rig should be really easy to repair as well so you'll have a total DT of 19 plus what ever you have invested in the toughness perk with a light armor set that you don't need dlc to acquire
I want to mention Joshua Graham's unique armour you get at the end of Honest Hearts. It's DT is only 15, so it's understandable it's not on this list. But it looks really good, isn't faction armour, and has a 5% crit bonus! And since it counts as light armour, it also stacks with the Light Touch perk for even more critical chance. You can also complete Honest Hearts very early in your playthrough. I ended up using it until I got the elite riot gear from Lonesome Road.
I appreciate that you dropped a last second “honorable mention” for Graham’s armor. Best light armor in the game and also stylish too, and of course light armor is the best armor overall thanks to mobility and associated perks.
8:57 I'm forgetting if I got it from Vault 34 or off a dead guy East of Vegas or some other place, but I THINK I found Mark II armor lying around somewhere
I think the All Purpose Science Suit deserves an honorable mention. While it's far from the most protective, it does have the highest DT:weight ratio in the game, at 13 DT for 2lbs.
After watching the first part of this video and seeing the 87th tribe armor and Centurion armor, I realized I've never done a Legion playthrough in all these years. Guess I'm doing that soon.
I wanna add, for the Reinforced Combat armor mark 2, if you travel west of the sunset sarsaparilla headquarters, and find a brewery behind the headquarters in the hills, if you follow the trail behind the brewery (passed some cazadores) keep following the trail west until you find a duffle bag near a skeleton and some mutilated body parts, there's a duffle bag with the armor. I don't know if its level specific, but I did find some there. So it is possible to get some without spending caps, but if you don't want to fight cazadores, than caps are the safe route.
8:40 you can find it in the west portion of the map, a bit to the east from one of the ranger stations (the one in the mountains on the road to jacobstown) in a dufflebag in a cazador nest
The stealth suit mkII from Old World Blues is my favorite. Not only does the armor talk to you (alerting you to combat, checking stimpacks and med-x you have, reminding you your pipboy light is on, and just commenting every so often or asking if you like it) but after doing the trials to upgrade it, it gives a whopping +25 to sneak, +1 to PER and AGI, and increases your sneak movement speed by +20% (as medium armor.) It also automatically dispenses stim packs, med-x, and IIRC antivenom as needed. It's body armor only, and DT is only 14, but for sheer flavor I love it. Just ignore the med-x addiction and my lack of stimpacks...
The problem with this list is because its based of DT the insane light armour isnt included which is a shame since some of the sets are the best in the game stealth and damage wise with joshua graham armour looking badass and giving crit and uylsses duster giving best crit in the game giving you 5% and with light touch 10% . Also light armor is insane as tunnel runner for the increased sneak speed and travel light for increased non sneak speed combine that with the implant and you sneak faster then you run.
@@bandamx1731 yes but light armour is also useful non sneaky if your careful cause uslyss duster dt (but still comparatively low to heavy armour) isn't that bad and if you play carefully you can get insane extra damage outta of non sneaky guns like energy weapons with all there crit stuff and paciencea (which has the highest single shot damage in the game potentially having the highest critical damage and all)
@@danielcook8480 Implant M-5 increases your crouched movement speed by +20. It does nothing for your DT. The implant that increases your DT is the Sub-Dermal Armor implant. It increases your DT by 4.
One of my favorites is the Vault 34 Security Armor, because it has decent DT and it is super cheap to have repaired. It isn't very durable, but seriously it is like 100 caps to repair.
12:48 another location for a full t51b power armor set, is at the brotherhood of steel safehouse, its in terrible condition, but theres also a t45d power armor suit there, and a recon suit if you want it, along with some other crap.

i think the best armour in this game is the one from the voult with gouls, it offers the same dt as joshua's armour and is always very cheap to repeat. like in the 2 digit number of caps.

The Elite Riot Gear is badass certainly but considering you gave the Gannon family variant of the Remnants armor a special mention you probably should have done the same for the Desert Ranger Armor. It has the same DT as the Elite Riot Gear but no special effect. It is slightly heavier but it is much easier to get, given that Honest Hearts has a recommended level of 10+ but Lonesome Road has a recommended level of 25+. Plus it has the whole history of being Great War Marine armor and having the soldier markings- it just looks cool.
I love the non-faction riot gear set, I equipped all my human companions the armours. With boon being given the desert riot gear, and Veronica the Advance set.
Took me tree trys to find the bodies, if you leave the area for 72 game hours and come back it resets the map and you may find them then. Also they kinda blend into the rocks really well
There's also a cheap way to get Combat Armor Reinforced Mk. II, if you don't choose the Wild Wasteland trait, the enemies where the aliens typically are (northernmost part of the map, west of the northern passage) feature one person with that armor set and the YCS, a unique Gauss Rifle.
Did you know there was a mod that added Judy Hopps Outfit/Armour from Zootopia in to Fallout New Vegas on PC, which the modder made so over powered🤯. The outfit's got a DT of 150, +10 to Strength, +10 to Perception, +10 to Agility, +10 to Luck and +100 to Sneak, +100 to Survival, +100 to Guns, +100 to Unarmed, +75 to Radiation Resistance, +50 to Poison Resistance +75 AP in vates and with a weight of 2, So yeah very OP😮.
Use the remnants power armor get the damage threshold implant to have 40 DT then use med-x to get a DT of 65 add in other drugs and consumables to get roughly 75 damage threshold literally stand in front of multiple death claws at the highest difficulty wondering why people think death claws are dangerous
Another way to get a non faction T51-b is by going to the armory after becoming a member of the brotherhood, another version of remnants power armor is found at the enclave bunker.
Neat little tidbit. The space suit helmet from repconn and the Atomic-valence tri-radii-oscillator from old world blue can be worn together for 8 dt, as good as the remnants helmet but with more armor health, regen, and without power armor training.
Helpful fact for all those looking forward to the Remnants Power armor: you can, actuality, obtain it relatively early in your playthrough if you're not going to side with Mister House; here are the steps: 1- Get rid of Mister House right after dealing with Benny and obtaining the Platinum Chip 2- Begin the Yes Man's questline and transfer him to the Lucky 38 3- Right after you install Yes Man at the Lucky 38, the game will already begin the third main story arc, with "Don't Tread on the Bear" and "Beware the Wrath of Caesar" warning you about siding with Yes Man for the ending (this part of the story is when Arcade's affinity quest is able to be triggered), don't worry about it, though, because none of the factions will actually shun you at this point, this is only the game telling you to be careful about the faction choices you made until that moment (NCR and Legion will only shun you and refuse the let you help them if you complete the "Wild Card: Side Bets" quest for Yes Man, and it's not necessary for the purpose of obtaining the Remnants Power armor) 4- After doing the steps above, you simply need to get Arcade as companion and get only one of his triggers, the easiest ones being: talk to Thomas Hildern at Camp McCarran terminal for the first time (this only works if Arcade is with you when you talk to Thomas the FIRST time, remember that); entering the Silver Rush (even with the Van Graffs dead) and going to the REPCONN Headquarters; it's very important that you hear Arcade's dialogues and answer nicely to him 5- If done right, the affinity quest should start right after leaving the dialogue-trigger building, and then you just need to complete the quest normally to get both the Remnants Power armor and the training to use it. That's it, by doing the steps above you can get the best armor in the whole game quite early in the progression. In two different playthroughs, I was able to get the armor before obtaining level 16. I hope this hint helps you guys.

Tbh the remnant power armor is badass looking and its return is from fallout 2 which is worn by Sargent Dornan prob my most favorite character in the fallout franchise and the power armor
I really feel like including the helmets was a huge handicap to this list. neither the centurion armor nor the salvaged power armor have any business on here. additionally, I would consider the scorched sierry to be a variant to the t-45d. same for the salvaged power armor.

I really enjoy using the Sherrif's Duster with a 1st Recon Berret and highway patrol sunglasses for my sniper class.
I use nearly the exact same thing but I use the sunglasses you find near the Legion Safe house the place with all the glowing ones.

Even though their main operations were at the oil rig and navarro, they had other enclave bases and outposts scattered throughout the country (they lost contact with them so we don’t know how the others are doing). These guys came from the west. Still doesn’t change the fact that the Enclave shouldn’t have an entire army since they were brought to the brink and had no contact with the others
You can equip Boone's beret with any riot gear helmets. You can additionally get +5% crit and +1 per.
Add Finesse and Better Criticals, Christine’s CoS Sniper Rifle and you’ll put all of First Recon to shame.

With the Jury Rigging perk, Gannon family Tesla armor is so cracked. You only need to come across a medium body armor every once in a while to keep it repaired, unlike all other power armors which you really gotta go out of your way to repair

There’s something great about F:NV as to how they show your decisions. You blow up an area? It’s totaled. You drop the radioactive barrels at Cottonwood Cove? The whole area is irradiated and the boat driver wears a rad-suit.

Gotta give it to Fallout 4 for making power armor look and feel like power armor. It's just dumb they're absolutely everywhere in the game. Would be more fun if they were more rare and you had your one suit that you could keep modifying and making better throughout the game.
Exactly. It was awesome feeling like a walking tanks but it also sucked having 10 different sets of power armor sitting around in racks outside the garage.
Bethesda totally overdid it with the modding in F4. And nobody really needed a T60 version of Power Armor. Plus, it was annoying af that your PA constantly got stolen from the racks around your home.
Nah they made it like shit, i preferred the power armors being like exosuits than being some bulky machinery, fallout 4 destroyed everything fallout represented.

I always really liked the Remnants Power Armor. The Tesla stuff looks a bit too goofy for me, but the regular version is just cool, and it was really neat seeing the Fallout 2 style Enclave armor in the game compared to the different looking one from 3 (though I do like that version too, just not as much).
For some reason in this game none of the power armor don’t look bulky enough tbh

Someting to note of riot gear helmets of all types: It is considered heavy instead of light. If you have the Jury Rigging perk you can repair it using any heavy armour, but you cant repair it with other headgear.

The T51-B has another pron, it has 2000hp so its durability is really good for hardcore runners out there, plus its an iconic legendary power armor but Gannon's tesla armor is sweet to.

A good alternative to the Sierra security armor is the vault 34 security armor it's light with a DT of 16 so actually 1 better than the combat armor and with the jury rig perk it can be repaired with any set of light armor which you are going to want because it has a low item health of 100 and you can get the vault 34 helmet which has a DT of 3 but an item health of 25 but with jury rig should be really easy to repair as well so you'll have a total DT of 19 plus what ever you have invested in the toughness perk with a light armor set that you don't need dlc to acquire

I want to mention Joshua Graham's unique armour you get at the end of Honest Hearts. It's DT is only 15, so it's understandable it's not on this list. But it looks really good, isn't faction armour, and has a 5% crit bonus! And since it counts as light armour, it also stacks with the Light Touch perk for even more critical chance.
You can also complete Honest Hearts very early in your playthrough. I ended up using it until I got the elite riot gear from Lonesome Road.
Elite riot gear is number 1 in style, you can also wear the helmet and the 1st recon beret for some reason for +3 perception
I appreciate that you dropped a last second “honorable mention” for Graham’s armor. Best light armor in the game and also stylish too, and of course light armor is the best armor overall thanks to mobility and associated perks.

I think the All Purpose Science Suit deserves an honorable mention. While it's far from the most protective, it does have the highest DT:weight ratio in the game, at 13 DT for 2lbs.

After watching the first part of this video and seeing the 87th tribe armor and Centurion armor, I realized I've never done a Legion playthrough in all these years. Guess I'm doing that soon.
I wanna add, for the Reinforced Combat armor mark 2, if you travel west of the sunset sarsaparilla headquarters, and find a brewery behind the headquarters in the hills, if you follow the trail behind the brewery (passed some cazadores) keep following the trail west until you find a duffle bag near a skeleton and some mutilated body parts, there's a duffle bag with the armor. I don't know if its level specific, but I did find some there. So it is possible to get some without spending caps, but if you don't want to fight cazadores, than caps are the safe route.
8:40 you can find it in the west portion of the map, a bit to the east from one of the ranger stations (the one in the mountains on the road to jacobstown) in a dufflebag in a cazador nest
The stealth suit mkII from Old World Blues is my favorite. Not only does the armor talk to you (alerting you to combat, checking stimpacks and med-x you have, reminding you your pipboy light is on, and just commenting every so often or asking if you like it) but after doing the trials to upgrade it, it gives a whopping +25 to sneak, +1 to PER and AGI, and increases your sneak movement speed by +20% (as medium armor.) It also automatically dispenses stim packs, med-x, and IIRC antivenom as needed. It's body armor only, and DT is only 14, but for sheer flavor I love it.
Just ignore the med-x addiction and my lack of stimpacks...
The problem with this list is because its based of DT the insane light armour isnt included which is a shame since some of the sets are the best in the game stealth and damage wise with joshua graham armour looking badass and giving crit and uylsses duster giving best crit in the game giving you 5% and with light touch 10% . Also light armor is insane as tunnel runner for the increased sneak speed and travel light for increased non sneak speed combine that with the implant and you sneak faster then you run.
Yea , Not Everyone plays Stealthy Built . Its just listing which armor have the highest DT from their Catagory. Light/Medium/Heavy .
@@bandamx1731 yes but light armour is also useful non sneaky if your careful cause uslyss duster dt (but still comparatively low to heavy armour) isn't that bad and if you play carefully you can get insane extra damage outta of non sneaky guns like energy weapons with all there crit stuff and paciencea (which has the highest single shot damage in the game potentially having the highest critical damage and all)

The implant that increases your DT is the Sub-Dermal Armor implant. It increases your DT by 4.
One of my favorites is the Vault 34 Security Armor, because it has decent DT and it is super cheap to have repaired. It isn't very durable, but seriously it is like 100 caps to repair.
If you get the reinforced mark 2 combat armor and have jury rigging i belive you can repair it quite easily using the vault 34 security armor

To make the DT even better for all armour is by Getting the NEMAN implant, Lonesome road ED-E’s upgrade that improves DT, and all perks of toughness
12:48 another location for a full t51b power armor set, is at the brotherhood of steel safehouse, its in terrible condition, but theres also a t45d power armor suit there, and a recon suit if you want it, along with some other crap.

i think the best armour in this game is the one from the voult with gouls, it offers the same dt as joshua's armour and is always very cheap to repeat. like in the 2 digit number of caps.
The T 51b is one of the items on my endgame checklist just for its look alongside a fully modded tri beam laser rifle and sprtl wood

The Elite Riot Gear is badass certainly but considering you gave the Gannon family variant of the Remnants armor a special mention you probably should have done the same for the Desert Ranger Armor. It has the same DT as the Elite Riot Gear but no special effect. It is slightly heavier but it is much easier to get, given that Honest Hearts has a recommended level of 10+ but Lonesome Road has a recommended level of 25+. Plus it has the whole history of being Great War Marine armor and having the soldier markings- it just looks cool.
If we're talking base game, reinforced leather armour takes the cake. It's easy to find, and has a good enough DT to be primary armour.
I love the non-faction riot gear set, I equipped all my human companions the armours. With boon being given the desert riot gear, and Veronica the Advance set.

Well dang, I need to cheat in some power armor and remnant armor- I cleared out the deathclaw, found the guns, but the bodies weren’t there.
Took me tree trys to find the bodies, if you leave the area for 72 game hours and come back it resets the map and you may find them then. Also they kinda blend into the rocks really well

There's also a cheap way to get Combat Armor Reinforced Mk. II, if you don't choose the Wild Wasteland trait, the enemies where the aliens typically are (northernmost part of the map, west of the northern passage) feature one person with that armor set and the YCS, a unique Gauss Rifle.

Did you know there was a mod that added Judy Hopps Outfit/Armour from Zootopia in to Fallout New Vegas on PC, which the modder made so over powered🤯. The outfit's got a DT of 150, +10 to Strength, +10 to Perception, +10 to Agility, +10 to Luck and +100 to Sneak, +100 to Survival, +100 to Guns, +100 to Unarmed, +75 to Radiation Resistance, +50 to Poison Resistance +75 AP in vates and with a weight of 2, So yeah very OP😮.
Use the remnants power armor get the damage threshold implant to have 40 DT then use med-x to get a DT of 65 add in other drugs and consumables to get roughly 75 damage threshold literally stand in front of multiple death claws at the highest difficulty wondering why people think death claws are dangerous
luckily you're talking about base game deathclaws, which are a joke, lonesome road ones pierce DT and do 500+ damage with each strike on normal

Another way to get a non faction T51-b is by going to the armory after becoming a member of the brotherhood, another version of remnants power armor is found at the enclave bunker.

Its pretty cool that the Sierra Madre Security Armor is pretty good for being security armor. High DT and easy to get at the beginning of Dead Money.

Neat little tidbit. The space suit helmet from repconn and the Atomic-valence tri-radii-oscillator from old world blue can be worn together for 8 dt, as good as the remnants helmet but with more armor health, regen, and without power armor training.
Helpful fact for all those looking forward to the Remnants Power armor: you can, actuality, obtain it relatively early in your playthrough if you're not going to side with Mister House; here are the steps:
1- Get rid of Mister House right after dealing with Benny and obtaining the Platinum Chip
2- Begin the Yes Man's questline and transfer him to the Lucky 38
3- Right after you install Yes Man at the Lucky 38, the game will already begin the third main story arc, with "Don't Tread on the Bear" and "Beware the Wrath of Caesar" warning you about siding with Yes Man for the ending (this part of the story is when Arcade's affinity quest is able to be triggered), don't worry about it, though, because none of the factions will actually shun you at this point, this is only the game telling you to be careful about the faction choices you made until that moment (NCR and Legion will only shun you and refuse the let you help them if you complete the "Wild Card: Side Bets" quest for Yes Man, and it's not necessary for the purpose of obtaining the Remnants Power armor)
4- After doing the steps above, you simply need to get Arcade as companion and get only one of his triggers, the easiest ones being: talk to Thomas Hildern at Camp McCarran terminal for the first time (this only works if Arcade is with you when you talk to Thomas the FIRST time, remember that); entering the Silver Rush (even with the Van Graffs dead) and going to the REPCONN Headquarters; it's very important that you hear Arcade's dialogues and answer nicely to him
5- If done right, the affinity quest should start right after leaving the dialogue-trigger building, and then you just need to complete the quest normally to get both the Remnants Power armor and the training to use it.
That's it, by doing the steps above you can get the best armor in the whole game quite early in the progression. In two different playthroughs, I was able to get the armor before obtaining level 16.
I hope this hint helps you guys.

I really feel like including the helmets was a huge handicap to this list. neither the centurion armor nor the salvaged power armor have any business on here. additionally, I would consider the scorched sierry to be a variant to the t-45d. same for the salvaged power armor.
I've played this game for so long...and I never been to that deathclaw place for the armors.
