    That's awesome! We collect Cub Cadets ( over 50 of most models)and I have always been intrested in building a loader/backhoe as a retirement project. Thanks fo the info and inspiration!

    I like the design you came up with. not so easy on a narrow frame tractor like I have. Good work.

    fantastic.. but what about an upgrade from the mechanical to an electric pto ?

    Good work! So you could use an existing hole in the tractor! Is there a bushing on the other side? Did you use the round "stopper" without the welded on steel plate to lock the pedal from sideway motion? One little bit of criticism : more light! It's difficult to see your great work as it is installed in the tractor. Regards Nils

    • @Isavetractors
      @Isavetractors  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes the locking bushing was to prevent side to side motion. yeah I had a light shining in the tractor but I think my camera setting was off. I'm going to see if I can edit it on my software to brighten it up.

    Thanks for responding. It's a cub cadet 108 gear-driven model. The clutch only disengages (to select another gear) when the pedal is pushed all the way to the floor. The clutch used to disengage when the pedal was depressed about halfway. I was thinking maybe the clutch is worn. Thanks in advance.

    • @Isavetractors
      @Isavetractors  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh I see what you're saying now. Yes the clutch should disengage half way through the movement, and then the brake comes in on the second half of the movement. I suggest checking your linkage for wear and adjust if necessary. There is a company called Cub Cadet Specialties that carry's Cub cadet specific parts and may have the linkages you need if you have to replace them. Google them and go to their website.

    Nice solution since it's now his loader/backhoe he doesn't need the mower deck... Unfortunately I need to operate the mower deck. I'd love to see a similar solution that doesn't require removing the deck lift .

    What does it mean when a cub cadet brake/clutch pedal engages when the pedal is pressed to the floorboard? When it's in this position, the clutch grinds and barely goes into gear. Love the videos man keep it up! Thanks in advance.

    • @Isavetractors
      @Isavetractors  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for your message. What model Cub Cadet do you have? If you have a gear driven cub normally when you press the clutch brake down it disengages the clutch, and your transmission should stop all together.

      @fryloc359 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I had that issue, and it ended up being broken clutch springs.

    I have never liked the heel toe peddle on hydrostatic drive tractors like kabota and others, I very much prefer the forward and reverse drive peddles side by side.... but in this case it makes a perfect addition to the hand control.. very nice...

      I agree with you. The main reason is while running a terrimite backhoe once I almost ran over the boss when my muddy foot slipped forward. Scary as HELL

    question when you eliminated the hydro lift how did you block off ports in pump????? and nice job i have a 149 with loader and i have been want to foot control it but didn't want to put hole in frame

    • @Isavetractors
      @Isavetractors  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Shawm Ray I just looped the ports by connecting a hose between them and tucking it out of the way

    Do you think this same solution would work on a case/ingersoll 4018? Seems like the same drive setup...

    I have a cub ags 2160. The tractor has a vanguard engine and is in really good shape except, the tractor will not pull like it is supposed to going up a hill. It will only pull in 1st gear under a load. My question is do you know of a swap that I can make better use of the tractor. Could I take a transmission/differential from a 149 and put in the ags 2160?

      No, in your situation, swap in the transaxle from a 2185 and you should be good.

    What kind of tie rod ends did you use or where did you get them. was thinking of doing the same, can make everything just need small tie rod ends like those

    • @Isavetractors
      @Isavetractors  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think I got them off of ebay. They are 1/4" tie rod ends

    Norman, you can still run the deck correct?

    • @Isavetractors
      @Isavetractors  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      No since I use the holes for the deck mechanism this machine can no longer mount a deck

    Can I order these parts?

  • @fryloc359
    @fryloc359 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    I want to do that but I need the rock shaft for my mower deck.

    • @Isavetractors
      @Isavetractors  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yea then it gets a little trickier you can drill big holes just forward of the rock shaft but alignment gets tricky
