- Back out again to bag 3 more tops for my Peak 75 list...let's just say "The weather could have been a bit better."
The peak 75 is a list of hills/places in the Peak district national park that i have compiled for my own pleasure, allowing me to get out into this beautiful area and tick them off, a few are popular with walkers while most are rarely walked. Some i have visited many times and others that i had never heard of until i made this list...the ever growing list of places already visited are listed below...fancy a challenge? My sort of scenery. An overcast day with dramatic cloud formations often, I have noticed, gives better pictures than a sunny day - provided the rain stays away. Nice one.

They promised us that global warming would bring extra hot summers and extra cold winters. I'm still waiting for summer. I'm loving your Peak 75 Stephen. Some great views, even if it was cold and wet. Still great to have peaks to yourself. Thanks for sharing.
In a few weeks we will look back and think.."so that was summer"..it's getting me down now...never mind.

That gravel path was canny and beat the weather temp for sure and I have given up just waiting for nice summer days and going to have to get myself out no matter the weather. Well I would have been worried walking passed those cows, I hate the bloody things. Not a bad walk and at least you kept mainly dry but with that last view, no wonder you had had a enough. Indeed, everyone marks their own list and priorities to visit. Still got some pretty amazing views. Thought there for a moment that the weather was going to change in your favour. A big congratulation on the 50!! Not far to go now to complete the challenge. Awesome!!

9C in July, what a bonkers year! No Ethel’s and no trigs! Well done on number 48, the five stones.you certainly have it to yourself. Very fancy water boiling apparatus. Oh yes pot noodle, my favourite! I hope you wait the full two minutes before adding the sauce! Cows guarding the gate! 😂strange people watching you approach 49. Wow that weather really coming in now for number 50. 2/3 done. 👍
A Bonkers year for sure...can't beat a pot noodle, but that little sachet of sauce seems hardly worth it...No walking this coming weekend as we are going down to Ipswich/Colchester for a day festival to see the mighty Ocean colour scene...i am going to miss not going for a walk.

Hi thank you for taking us along with you. Are you sure this was filmed in summer 😆 Its odd though we go out it's cold and rainy and half an hour later sun comes out and we have to take jumpers etc off as it's really hot. Love the shot at 5:30 some great views along the way. We love the cows although not so keen if there's a bull about. The wind was strong up the top would have been a day for a kite. Hope you have had a great weekend doesn't look like next week is going to get any better weather wise. Still always good to get out. Best wishes Dave and Dawn ❤️

Well, you had atmospheric cloudy skies to add to those beautiful views! I enjoyed it from the comfort of my sofa! I do love the Peak District... we'll be up there in a couple of weeks, so the weather better sort itself out! 😂

I agree with your thoughts on our summer weather, but my thoughts are where is it? It really hasn't been the best. I know the wind is another problem when filming but liked the brew with a view. My goodness the Peak 75 challenge is certainly an achievement. Well done Steven. - You're looking good (p.s fancy that gate being padlocked to get through !!)

The weather sure looked a bit rough there. That cow was guarding the gate because she wanted you to give her a handout and all you gave her was a tissue. Lol.

You are near Buxton, no wonder its raining...well we need all the water for our Buxton Water...NOT😂...I have never been up five stones and to be honest never heard of it till this vid...looked bleak but the filming with the clouds was brilliant...I like the little heater that made your brew, where did you get it I would love one of those?...Catch 22, farm dogs or stubborn bullocks...oh the joys of the Peak District🙄...it wasn't a poor vid and I have learnt about places not far from home which I never knew about and well enjoyed it Steven...Cheers Les.🙂👍
Thanks Les...yeah always something new...the little meths burner came in handy...you can pick them up for a tenner...not as quick as a gas stove, but much quieter and there is no hurry...cheers mate

9 degrees? Eek! Here in Minsk it's about 25 degrees now, but was bloody hot last week. Got up to 35 degrees.

Hi Dan..should be doable ...there is also a little ridge above a run down farmhouse..it looked unlived in....i might be wrong but i reckon you could camp somewhere above the old house
