@@MaskerHollowKnight sure, you can make a youtube short. for more details, i grinded on the husk guard just outside false knight. i learned where to get dash after asking my friend if you got the dash at 200 essence, so she told me to go left at the top of the elevator shaft. also, i took like an hour and a half off call and 15 minutes on call with her trying to find the statue she mentioned to get to the city of tears, which i didn’t go to earlier because i thought i had to get some other movement tech to dash up to get to it(i tried to go there immediately before getting mantis claw, then marked it in my brain that i couldn’t go there yet and forgot about it until i couldn’t remember the order of those events). anyway, it also took me three days to get to kingdom’s edge, like 30 minutes of which was after looking it up. also, i killed the nailsmith, not because i didn’t know you could spare him(i don’t know why i knew you could), but because i thought he had a hunter’s journal entry that would be required for the hunter’s mark(i don’t know why i knew the hunter’s mark existed) now that i’m better at, i’ve gotten every ending, including the land of storms if you can count that, i’ve gotten radiant on all bosses except gpz and absrad, i have all bindings on the first three pantheons, i’ve gotten 84 zotes as my record, i got 62 zotes while overcharmed by one slot(with gathering swarm equipped, so it’s functionally the normal amount of charm slots), and i’ve gotten 59 zotes charmless. i’ve also done a low% thk run, and the hollow knight was actually harder than ascended absrad, roughly the difficulty of radiant markoth. in the same run, i did darknest and found it fun. i once did a minimum kills run by my own rules, which forced me to do the dark crystal peaks room without the lumafly lantern. my main save file has every hunter’s journal entry except menderbug and the radiant void idol. also, path of pain is a lot of fun for me and i wish i could replay it without having to make a new save file every time. edit: i switched from console to pc and died in king’s pass in the same spot i did in my first run, so i’m not that good
5:35 I think we've forgotten about the room where all the dreamers' graves are, unlocked after a few hundred Essence in the top right. If you dream-nail any of the graves... the enemy that comes to kill you in revenge is named Revek. He is definitely the hardest in the Resting Grounds, if not the hardest non-bossfight Dream Warrior in all of Hallownest.
I love how for most areas there’s a clear hardest enemy but then for crystal peak you could make an argument for like 4 different enemies as the hardest.
Crystal hunters give me more trouble than most of the bosses in the game. I try to avoid crystal peak as much as possible cause I don't wanna deal with them lol
in my opinion, the sporgs would be the hardest enemies in Fungal Wastes (if you're not speedrunning lol), I think that once you get the hang of it, the Shroomal Ogres are pretty easy to kill. great video btw!
@slimic Umm no? The sporgs are still difficult even when you get the hang of them because they're often placed in difficult to reach places. The Shrumal Ogres are just a bigger Moss Knight.
I wish there were more TH-camrs like this. the tone is very nice and it's not screaming at the mic with 50 silly sound effects playing on the screen in a second. hope you get more subs by the next videos. I honestly thought this was around your 50th video or something
I think technically grimm or the shade when you give the shade catcher far right of dirtmouth an egg would count as the hardest enemy! Probably not grimm because that counts as a boss, so when you fight your shade, that would be the “hardest enemy”
I still think the sporgs, those bomb shooting mushrooms are way harder, and there are more of them. And I think the big mushrooms that you said can be kinda cheesed by just jumping up and hitting them from there, when they hit their heads to the ground they can be hit, but you won't be hurt unless the other is shooting at you.
Hey you forgot about the Dirt-Mouther, the secret enemy in dirtmouth that you can only get when you get exactly 69420 geo and go to Slys house. He is said to be harder than NKG, Abs rad, and PV combined and takes 100000 hours to beat
And there's also elderbug. Ever since patch 69.420, elderbug now becomes a boss if you don't say hello to him when you enter dirtmouth and deals 69 masks of damage.
@@Ned_the_Nerd u dumb? if you have heavy blow on, you kill him easily. really, the hardest is bretta, if you don't sit at the bench when she's on it, she becomes a boss and deals 420 masks of damage, and neither heavy blow or wayward compass are allowed in the fight
Wow I didn’t release this was your first video I’m watching almost all of your 4 videos so far I’m definitely going to subscribe and stick around you feel like you’ve bee doing this for years
Enjoyable video :3 I would like to point out two things: 1) Technically speaking, there can be an enemy in Dirtmouth: your shade. In Normal mode, you can bribe Jiji to call back your Shade specifically to Dirtmouth if you would like to count that. 2) In the Resting Grounds, there is the Spirits' Glade where various backer OCs can be found and talken to. Revek is also there, the so called guardian of the place. If you Dream Nail any spirit there, he will turn aggressive, dashing towards you periodically while invincible. If you manage to dreamnail all the bugs in the Glade and reset the room, you can come back and dreamnail him too.
Grey Prince Zote is also in Dirtmouth, and he provides some enemies that I would say are significantly more difficult than your shade. Volatile zotelings can be summoned very quickly and will explode if not dealt with quickly, and there is a short window to kill them, which makes them extremely difficult to kill alongside fighting GPZ. There are also the other ones he summons (The winged zotelings and hopping zotelings).
Not bad for a first video. I really like how you chose to edit it. One thing I will say is that you do repeat yourself a bit but that’s understandable for a ranking video. Really good job dude. Hope to see more from you like this in the future 👍
@@MaskerHollowKnight i'll defenitly subscribe, though i do agree that you do the "at first i though" thing way to much. i did really enjoy the rest, like the great editing and picking good options imo, though i'd still pick the crystal hunter over the gem lazer guys.
Honestly i had way more issues with the infected mantis in Queens. Gardens, mantis petras u can just bait out their flying disc and yeet around them, theyre more annoying than anything. Surpised you didnt say anything about the crystal shooter guys(forgot their name) theyre the dumbed down version of crystal guardian. I had a ton of trouble with those guys the first round. great video, good points, great editing and awesome video in general one suggestion: simce you are including minibosses i would put brooding mawlek as the hardest enemy in crossroads also in resting grounds there are also the belflys in the secret rooms, hope you make more awesome videos you deserve more attention
I would rank a few differently, but most of the enemies I would agree with Personally I will always find crystal hunters the most annoying enemy, esp since in some rooms you have to deal with multipal that it gets overwhelming, and in other places they can easily fly out of reach. J forgot the name but the ones you ranked to be the hardest are annoying but atleast they have a pattern, which IMO makes them way easier to deal with Also, in resting grounds there are actually 2 enemies. The lil flies that hang on the ceilings who will charge at you and explode are also there. Though I find the one you ranked to be harder to deal with Ill edit this comment if I recall anything else that I wanted to mention but for now this is it. Great video for your first one here on the platform, hope to see more!
although the quality isn't very good, but I got immedately hooked up for some reason and I can see all the work you put in this singular video. good luck man, hope you get the recognition you deserve.
crystal hunters are way harder than the crystal crawlers, especially if you do what i did on my first playthrough and go there before getting the dash and then not realise you can deflect or destroy the crystals
in resting grounds there is the spirit's glade, where you fight revek (if you try to dreamnail any spirit there) and its far worse than the entombed husk
I agree with and guessed most of these. I forgot flukemungas existed and guessed the flukefey for Waterways and I feel like the mantis traitor is harder for me than the Petra. But otherwise, all of my picks were the same as yours.
this is pretty well edited honestly, you deserve more subscribers, also I might consider revek as an enemy, since he attacks you, then again, you don't exactly fight him unless you dreamnail him, but he DOES fight you, though entombed husk is an actual enemy and revek doesn't have a journal entry, so, eh
Kings pass technically counts to Dirtmouth as you also automatically have the map for it just like Dirtmouth so it probably counts towards Dirtmouth. So the hardest enemy in Dirtmouth would be Vengefly
@SNUGGETNUGGET yes im aware of them, but what about the infected balloons is difficult? They have one health, defenders crest makes you immune to them, and they don’t spawn that often.
Nice video! I always love finding new small channels. One small thing is ya repeat yourself maybe a bit too much, just like word choice of "annoying" got a little repetitive. You could also maybe expand more on "hard to avoid", like some attacks are hard because they are homing in on the player (like the sporg), while others because of large area of effect, or speed they come at you etc, just think mentioning aspects like this more (you did do this some with Hive Warrior highlighting its huge hitbox) might help with greater variety/depth in your critique but otherwise really great content. It always so interesting to see what enemies different players struggle with. Shroom Warrior and Shroomal Orgres as hard in Fungal Wastes surprised me lol, I definitely struggle with the sporgs more, 100% agree with the damned Hive Guardian though, I hate anything that shakes the screen
thanks for this comment, this is my first video and it got no views for the first 8 days, but suddenly today is already got like 3k which is insane and I love all the support and positive comments everyone is giving me, so this really means alot, thanks
4:03 you can dash through stalking devourer if you have the shade cloak. you also said alot of the enemies are really difficult to kill, although if you've progressed pretty far in the game and gotten at least 1 level two spell/upgraded your nail somewhat, all these enemies get really easy to kill, just incredibly annoying imo.
These are some fairly interesting thoughts. Only criticism is that you should be a bit clearer with how each enemy behaves (e.g. Primal Aspids' three-spread shots, how Mantis Petras' projectiles boomerang upwards).
TH-camr: i first thought of belflies and then great hoppers Me: Stupid, primal aspids should be the first to come in mind (belflies - learn to dodge, great hoppers - stay away)
I have a load of mixed opinions on this. Husk guard was definetely the hardest none boss enemy, since on my first playthrough i did not get the map after beating false knight (somehow), I thought the husk guard guarding the grub was the area's boss, literally. Agree with you with the infected crossroad pick. Nowadays i use Strength charm + great slash to dispose of them. Moss knight ngl was easy for me (spirit spam), I had much more trouble with the moss chargers which I just could not understand for some reason ON MY FIRST PLAYTHROUGH. Ooma or Uoma or exploding homing jellyfish being the hardest enemy I agree with you, but not in the way you might think. On my first playthrough, after realising they release explosive homing missiles after they die, I just ignored them. But fuck the ones in the Uumuu boss fight at godhome. Mantis warriors are imo the hardest enemy in fungal wastes. Shrumal warriors might have been confusing and shrumal ogres were just slabs of meat that had easy-to-avoid attacks. But I still coudn't get my head around the mantis warriors, even in my 112% steel soul run when I had already dumped 200 hours in the game they still were annoying as hell. FYI: Mantis village is a sub-area, not a whole area, and I'm counting them as part of the whole area Deepnest Stalking Devouts are annoying even on your 6th playthrough. Their just sould drains, and if you don't have any soul, your in a world of hurt. Those fucking teleporting all-spamming soul twisters could go jump in a deep fryer and get hung, drawn and quartered. The infected Mantis traitors are harder than the mantis petras, althoguh there are less than them, they are literally Mantis warriors on crack. Their slash attack covers half the floor, which as little bit too much, and coupled with the occasional boomerang from the petras. You would sometimes jump up to avoid the dash-slash only to be face-fucked by another traitors jump-slash or a boomerang. On my first playthrough, didn't even know the crypts existed till I began doing the Grimm Troupe quest, and by then I was stacked. And the entombed husk got in the way a lot, and belflies didn't really do much at this area. So I agree with you on this one. Crystal hunters could go jump off a 1000m cliff into a pit of red hot spikes. Because they fucked up one of my steel soul runs in the crystal mound. Royal Waterways had a problem on which enemy was the hardest and which was the most annoying. And my brain just could not separate these two. On one hand the Flukemungas only appeared in one room but where half-impossible to kill without being hit. On the otherhand the flukefeys would appear in half the rooms, mess up the parkour to Cornifer and fly around you when your stuck in water like the fat fly which hangs around your head while your hiking a mountain. But I digress, the Flukemunga is the hardest enemy. Kingdom's edge is an extremely hard area to rank because of the 2 sub-areas (CoF and the Hive), so i'll be ignoring the CoF and i'll count the Hive as a separate area. Firstly, primal aspids have aimbot, easily hardest enemy in Kingdom's edge. The Hive guardians were an easy pick, the obese mf would bounce around and sometimes ricochet off some off-screen platform and into your face. Plus hive soldiers were easy to deal with and husk hives were free soul reserves. The mini lurking mawleks or whatever their called where the hardest. The Malurks just made you play TouHou in a side-scroller and were easy to deal with but the fucking minature mawleks would crawl around, spit acid, and do a decently hard to avoid slash woith a deceptively long range when you get close. Not sure if this is controversal but the VENGEFLYs were the hardest/most annoying in Howling Cliffs. By the time you reach Howling Cliffs you'll probably have a bunch of abilities because you would've only thought about going there when you have nothing to do and probably searched up a guide to Grimm Troupe. Making the Elder Baulders extremely easy to deal with if you know their mechanics. Meanwhile vengeflys get in the way, make you take unnecessary damage and fuck you over as to try to do the whispering root. And also judging by how they SOMEHOW killed me in my 3rd or 4th playthrough while I took no damage from the Elder Baulders. The abyss only has one enemy which is the sibling and as a result, it is the hardest/only enemy in the abyss. Whitepalace has kingsmoulds which fucked up my second PoP run, which took an hour. Edit: Howling Cliffs is so forgettable I accidentally called it Kingdom's edge.
Great video, especially for a first one. I generally agreed with your picks. I forgot that the entombed husk even existed so props for that, though it's also been some time since my last playthrough. Minor nitpick, hitbox refers to the place where someone can take damage while hurtbox is where they deal damage so small mistake there but don't worry about it, it's just me being picky. Best of luck!
the hive guardian is a solid contender for the hardest hollow knight enemy but god nothing is more terrifying than fighting a stalking devout on 1 mask with no soul. there is legit no easy way out of that situation except fight it
@@MaskerHollowKnight well, King's Pass technically counts towards Dirtmouth (since it's on the Dirtmouth Map), or you could count it as a seperate area, like Mantis Village.

crystal hunters are way harder than the crystal crawlers, especially if you do what i did on my first playthrough and go there before getting the dash and then not realise you can deflect or destroy the crystals
yeah but once you know they are easier
Great video, i didnt brlive you had just 62 subs, continue like this and you will hit 100 pretty soob
thanks
in resting grounds there is the spirit's glade, where you fight revek (if you try to dreamnail any spirit there) and its far worse than the entombed husk
yeah ik I forgot about her lol
Damn that's your first video this is too well made
thanks!
I agree with and guessed most of these. I forgot flukemungas existed and guessed the flukefey for Waterways and I feel like the mantis traitor is harder for me than the Petra. But otherwise, all of my picks were the same as yours.
Ive been on yt for over a decade and this is the first video I ever liked. I dont know why. Good job I guess?
thanks, I'm very impressed of that's true, this is my first video aswell, if you enjoyed make sure to subscribe
this is pretty well edited honestly, you deserve more subscribers, also I might consider revek as an enemy, since he attacks you, then again, you don't exactly fight him unless you dreamnail him, but he DOES fight you, though entombed husk is an actual enemy and revek doesn't have a journal entry, so, eh
I forgot about him
YOOOO video looking good king, keep it up
thanks so much!
Kings pass technically counts to Dirtmouth as you also automatically have the map for it just like Dirtmouth so it probably counts towards Dirtmouth. So the hardest enemy in Dirtmouth would be Vengefly
First video? You’ve got talent my friend
thanks
I think you could make an argument for Revek being the hardest enemy in resting grounds, since he is technically killable.
yeah i forgot about them
congrats on your first video! your editing is pretty dang good, and you had good points set up for each bug >: D
thanks alot!
Isn't nkg technically in dirtmouth?
True
yeah but I didn't count bosses
This is actually really good for a first video
thanks!
in resting grounds, Revek is much harder than entombed husk. It also deals double damage and has much harder attacks to dodge.
yeah ik I forgot
Incredible video! Until looking at the comments I had no idea this was your first video. Great work!
thanks alot man!
Wow cool, i farmed the husk guard on my first playthrough. Aspid mother gave me trouble for so long 😂😂😂
yes same with both!
@SNUGGETNUGGET huh?
@SNUGGETNUGGET yes im aware of them, but what about the infected balloons is difficult? They have one health, defenders crest makes you immune to them, and they don’t spawn that often.
@SNUGGETNUGGET again, defenders crest. Or just KILL IT AND THEN HEAL, ITS NOT DIFFICULT
@SNUGGETNUGGET i have 112% as well, and they are zero issue… just hit them once and move on
Fun video. I haven’t played hollow knight but it’s still is fun to watch the videos.
yeah, I'm at the stage where I just have pantheons left
Nice video
Really crazy to see how much subs you got in such a short period of time
Hope to see more of this great content
ikr thanks
4:03 you can dash through stalking devourer if you have the shade cloak. you also said alot of the enemies are really difficult to kill, although if you've progressed pretty far in the game and gotten at least 1 level two spell/upgraded your nail somewhat, all these enemies get really easy to kill, just incredibly annoying imo.
yeah
Nice first video, keep it up👍
Thank you, I will
2:20 thought the video was glitching 😂
Lol same
For your first video, this is incredible! Already about 30k views, keep up the work and you’ll get even more popular.
thanks!
These are some fairly interesting thoughts. Only criticism is that you should be a bit clearer with how each enemy behaves (e.g. Primal Aspids' three-spread shots, how Mantis Petras' projectiles boomerang upwards).
ok, ill make sure to do this if I do something similar in future
You just earned a sub
thanks
TH-camr: i first thought of belflies and then great hoppers
Me: Stupid, primal aspids should be the first to come in mind (belflies - learn to dodge, great hoppers - stay away)
yeah I remembered them and i was like: what was I thinking?
THIS IS YOUR FIRST VIDEO?!?!?!?!? amazing work i wish you luck on your future videos
thanks!
FYI: Mantis village is a sub-area, not a whole area, and I'm counting them as part of the whole area
Deepnest Stalking Devouts are annoying even on your 6th playthrough.
Edit: Howling Cliffs is so forgettable I accidentally called it Kingdom's edge.
thanks for the comment, I read all the way through and agree with some of your points!
You called the howling cliffs kingdoms edge while talking about vengefly’s
i was watching this video assuiming you had tens of thousands of subs at a minimum, jesus keep it up
thanks
Not a bad video, but man, work on your vocabulary. You used same sentence structure and the exact same words for every location
ye ik idk many word
You have uploaded anything so you can’t say anything
huh

thanks alot!

thanks so much!
Your videos are really good considering this is your second one. U have a big path in front of you. Good Luck
thanks alot man!
also this was my first one
@@MaskerHollowKnight dam i forgot
Great video, especially for a first one. I generally agreed with your picks. I forgot that the entombed husk even existed so props for that, though it's also been some time since my last playthrough. Minor nitpick, hitbox refers to the place where someone can take damage while hurtbox is where they deal damage so small mistake there but don't worry about it, it's just me being picky. Best of luck!
ok thanks!
No he was right hitboxe is the attack Hurtbox is the enemy (at least in smash bros it’s the case)
This is where the legend was born
indeed
I gave 100% approval when you said primal aspid
ha lol
I swear in my mind I was saying if u didn’t say primal aspid I was gonna leave
the hive guardian is a solid contender for the hardest hollow knight enemy but god nothing is more terrifying than fighting a stalking devout on 1 mask with no soul. there is legit no easy way out of that situation except fight it
For the Devouts, I use Great Slash, because the hit triggers the attack, but the hitbox lasts long enough to hit the inside.
Cool video. Can't wait to see more.
thanks! my next video will be insane
"There are no enemies in Dirtmouth"
King's Pass and Grimm Troupe:
kings pass I counted as howling cliffs, and bosses didn't count
@@MaskerHollowKnight well, King's Pass technically counts towards Dirtmouth (since it's on the Dirtmouth Map), or you could count it as a seperate area, like Mantis Village.
"Yeah there's no enemies in Dirtmouth"
*Sobs in NKG*
he counts as a boss I didn't count bosses
I honestly just clicked the video to see primal aspid being named in kingdoms edge. Fing primal aspid. Also, great video.
thanks alot
wake up babe a new hollow knight channel just dropped
haha
You deserve more than 482 subs
thanks man
W video Im subbing
thanks!
No problem I love hollowknight and you are a small channel I would like to support plus you make good content so yeah no problem@@MaskerHollowKnight
You just earned yourself a subscriber
There is another enemy in the Resting Grounds, that being the Belfly. Also, you could also count Revek.
A good video, a few mistackes (like when your voice is lower than the music) but you have great potencial !
thanks man!
"Yeah there's no enemies in dirt mouth" *cries in Nightmare King Grimm
I dint count bosses
