The Tram benches are a wasted opportunity not letting you sit on them while the trams are moving. Just let you move around while hitting the switch, so you can quickly have a seat for the tram's journey. Would've been nice.
Exactly, they would've probably been higher on my list if they did that
I think they wanted to make trams seem mundane on purpose. They could have totally cut the unskippable repetitive animation if they wanted

The lesson we all learn on our second playthrough is to not take salubras blessing and don't destroy the phonograph in the the west garden's bench

Yeah, its very hard to build up a audience if you're just starting, but it looks like my efforts are finally paying off :)

If I may speak in defense of the Beast's Den bench, I have two points in its favor:
1. The first thing is something it shares with the Sheo bench: relief. You've just gone through a hard trial of platforming and/or spiders, and might be close to death. And while it might be pretty safe to leave, the immediate relief is very nice.
2. There's no other bench nearby. If there was a bench at the Distant Vilkage stag, it would be useless. But if you want to go exploring into the left side of Deepnest (for some reason), you would either have sit at the Queen's Garden toll bench, which, let's be honest, is quite the trek (both from the nearest stag to the bench, and then from the bench to Deepnest), or you have to sit at the bench of amother stag station knowing you'll have to take the stag again every time you die, if not for Beast's Den bench.
Whille this is true, the bench is next to a stagway, and if you use it, you will get to a bench that in a safer place and that will only take you a few extra seconds
In the case that you lost your geo in beast's den or for some reason just don't have enough to buy the stag, it could save you from having to repeatedly get back from the hardsave at the centre of beasts den maybe?
it helped me for hunters journal since it's the easiest way to kill devouts
For me the worst one is the deepnest stag bench. Breaks my heart every time. 😭
I think I speak for everyone when I say this is the best Hollow Knight bench ranking video ever.

OMG, how nice to see my lovely queens gardens bench at number one spot. This bench is so beautiful, that every time I think about it - I want to cry like a baby. You went so far from the beginning, and you are already become tough warrior, fighting with strong opponents around you. You think that you are emotionless battle machine and this bench will be another one in your list. But at the exact moment, when you paid your geo, you look around you. You sit on this bench, you hear a familiar melody, which with phonograph starting to bring you some nostalgic vibes, and you stop breathing because of stunning surroundings. You are feeling REALLY safe here, because this place starting to feel like home around the whole hell, which happening near. This is incredible.
That bench is on another level of amazing, I can't handle it 😭
Tip for the flower quest: Simply make your way from the grave to the mourner’s house as usual, but killing every enemy you see. When you get there, get the flower and DON’T sit on the bench. Now just make your way back with way less enemies

Sorry my comment wasn't clear enough.
Place the dreamgate at Le'mer's house. Use the dreamgate if you broke the flower/gave it away to an NPC to retry the quest easily without save and quit (respawning the hard enemies).
Do not cheese the quest by placing the dreamgate at the grave and warp there. The flower will break

I have a complex love/hate relationship with the royal waterways bench. I had to give it some extra screen time.
I hate how no good animation exists there. It just kind of happens.

I don't think it heals you, so it isn't a real bench... But then again, he did rate the fake bench in deepnest
Benches weren't the gift at the end of the journey, benches are the friends and experiences we lived during the journey
After seeing around 40 benches ranked, I was sure he just forgot the Queens Garden bench. And since it's my favorite bench as well, seeing it being ranked number one made my day.
I had to, it's literally the best :)

In Beast's Den, there is an alternate entrance besides the trap bench. You can enter through a secret passage in the ceiling with Cdash and Monarch Wings. If you take this entrance for whatever reason, the bench within the den is accessible right at the start. Point being, It's not totally useless. (especially if you need to backtrack after being beat up by Devout's)
One of the best Hollow Knight videos I have ever watched. Editing is top notch. Humor is on point. I was hooked the entire video and never skipped or felt bored for a second. You are really underrated!

Dang, I had the same idea of ranking every signal bench in Hollow Knight and I was sure that no one else would be insane enough to do the same thing, clearly I was proven wrong. I was even using a similar way of ranking them that you used. Very impressive video of how much time went into ranking all of them, I guess I'll just go and rank every signal grub in Hollow Knight instead...

my fav has to be start of greenpath bench, its just the most memorable one for me. leaving forgotten crossroads the first time to enter an area that looks very different and then find this beautiful bench close to the start is what made me want to die while exploring all the more to return here
