I prefer double column large print. Except In premier large print by Nelson or zondervan.
Beautiful Bible and well worth the price I’m sure. I paid $205 for a Schuyler Canterbury and I would pay more than that for it. Hands down the most beautiful Bible I have ever owned. I prefer 2 column verse by verse, but regardless the Crossway is very nice

nice review, Steve. This looks really good however the ribbons do appear to let it down. Maybe a candidate for changing them. For the paper at the back, I think lined paper would be good..... without lines, my writing heads in strange directions. 😂. Other than that, it looks great!

I have a couple of questions about the ESV Preaching Bible, both the single column verse by verse and the single column paragraph. (1) Do they weigh the same? (2) Are they equally thick? Is one of the two more hand friendly? Thanks!
Good questions…and I’d say they are very similar. So it’s more of an opinion of 1 or 2 columns really.

It's a really nice Bible. I just don't know if I can go back to verse by verse. Yeah, it
may seem ideal for preaching but I way prefer a paragraph format. I have the ESV Large Print Wide Margin and it's a double column paragraph format with extra large and bolded verse numbers that are easy to find and I love it a lot, my only gripe with it was that it didn't have a concordance and the ribbon it came with as usual is awful. I did change the ribbon and add in 3 but I can't do anything about the concordance. That's the Bible I now use.

@@ClaimingChristianity That's true. I really love the Large Print Wide Margin, yet I do like the craftsmanship of this VBV preaching Bible. My first ever Bible was a Gideons NKJV New Testament and it was a VBV, and I used KJV which were always VBV for a while till I went back to the NKJV but a paragraph format. I realise the difference in my understanding of the scriptures and the context helped with better understanding of Bible as opposed to when broken into VBV, which has at times lead to some iffy doctrines. Now I use ESV and they are mostly paragraph and I way prefer it so. I just haven't warmed to single column yet, although it does seem better for reading. Crossway is making some really good Bibles and I'm hoping one day I'll be able own a premium Bible. The Schuyler Wide Margin ESV is the one I would want to own, but I cannot afford a Bible like that at the price point. It would probably take me close to 7 years to save enough money to get one and that is definitely no joke or made up story. Even a Bible priced at US $50 is way beyond my means. All the Bibles I've ever bought is between US $8 and $25 the most I've ever spent on a Bible.
I hear ya. Where are you within going from. If it’s safe to say? I’m hoping to be able to do a give a way or to on the future but at the moment I’m totally self financed and just can’t swing a premium give away. Bit it’ll come!!

Some people do. I haven’t really researched enough to have a true opinion. I prefer the Netherlands for quality purposes. But I have some friends …who are also fans of this channel from China. So I try to hear from them before I make to many decisions.
