Thanks for your thoughts on this subject brother. I have a very simple approach, I use the Bible I'm most familiar with (usually my trusty Cambridge Cameo WM) and a few A5 sheets with my notes on, this would be for a teaching meeting. If preaching a short gospel address I would grab the same Bible which will usually have a post-it or two on the page I am reading from, just to keep my main points and train of thought. I have recently been enjoying using the CBP Notetakers and the TBS Westminster to preach from however. Either way, the Bible just has to be CLEAR, EASY to find references/verses, and I think the preacher has to be familiar and comfortable with it. God bless bro!
If I were still preaching I'd probably pick that NKJV preaching bible BUT the NASB R1 is awesome I love that layout. I'm actually in a very weird place in my walk, I was kJV only for many years and the chains were still effecting me up until the last couple months. I've become very attached to my Nasb reader..... The ESV is an excellent translation but Nelson making worthy NKJV bibles is a huge edition I'm so overwhelmed LOL. 😂
