I think my R172 is having the same issue. It refused to start today but then it restarted ok after a while. I’ll get it checked out anyway.
Yes I would recommend getting it checked out. From my experience,it seems to start as an intermittent issue and then stops working completely! Let me know how you get on 👍

I hope not too! At least you know what to look for now. From what I can gather, it seems to be only 2011 models. Hope you enjoy the SLK! 👍
@@stevensfourwheels Got a late 2011 model with the AMG Line trim in white. So far all good. Very fun car. Hate that "Eco" function - going to hack it to stay permanently off when I get time :). The roof mod box to allow controlling the roof with the fob and one click up/down is also a must add that I have to get on soon...
@@gurumeditation8911 well I’m glad you managed to get one and you’re enjoying it! That eco button is very annoying with its default setting being on. It does the same thing in my B Class. Let me know how you get on with the folding top mod 👍
@@stevensfourwheels Top mod works like a superstar. It's a must have for this car. It also resolves the annoying forced ECO function - there is a setting to disable it. It's important to get the one from Mods4Cars. The cheap ones don't have all the other good stuff and can't be updated.
