To this day, nothing influences and hits me the way THIS era of SJR does. Caught Up In The Gears of Application was pretty cool but the unique, twisted, angry darkness that comes out of the first two albums hits me the same way today than when I first got into em. Everything from the band roster, the aesthetics, the attitude and the unflinching, unorthodox style of music that SJR put out back then is timeless. This will always be my favorite band of all time and their influence continues to inspire me, to this day. Fuckin dress like a target! 🤘
I remember watching this when it first aired. Never knew cro-mags had a video until i saw this. This was way better than regular headbangers ball...gave love to old school hardcore and punk
Man phil from 2000-03 was the worst time for him. He was on dope since 96 but 00-03 Is when he was taking xanax and muscle relaxers with opiates. That's why he sounds like this😴😴

Phil Anselmo from the rock band Superjoint Ritual??? Lol...Dude was - is - and always will be Phil Anselmo from the heavy metal badass band called PANTERA. The end.
What a fucking embarrassment. This dude is smacked outta his head so bad it's ridiculous. He is the reason Pantera broke up and he is also the reason that Darrell got murdered. His interview in Metal Hammer should have never been printed.
I've read the interview. In no way shape or form did it lead to Dime's death. And yeah, aside from the whole drugs thing - bands break up all the time. Dude wanted to do other projects rather than force a new record at the time. Bruce Dickinson left Iron Maiden. Rob Halford left. Millions of people did. And in this case the media played up their conflicts and pumped em up far beyond what they actually were. So the fuck is your point?
So to elaborate on your statement, Phil Anselmo is the reason Nathan Gale was a nut job schizophrenic psycho that decided to kill Dimebag because he thought Dimebag was the reason Pantera broke up? Ok I got it now 😂😂
Phil style in this era was badass
Agreed! Late 90's early 2000's phil Anselmo was what i thought a metal fan was suppose to look like!
True 220% bro
Greetings from Colombia
This era was when Phil was getting heavily into Black Metal type stuff hence the long black hair
It's lovely to hear that Phil likes DiAnno's era of Iron Maiden. The real man of culture.
True, Paul had that underground vibe and pretty hard vocals that made Iron Maiden awesome on Iron Maiden and Killers
Dianno is a badass and he can hit the high notes
