    I think Phil has become a very emotional and deep person since he has lost Dimebag. It really shows.
    Which makes him even more symbolic to me. The guy has seen heartache, sorrow, death, rock bottom. But he is still indestructable.

      I was just fixing to that down but I don't have to you already did it for me.its the casual fan that only know Phil through Pantera or down that think bad about Phil.has he made mistakes and done some dumb shit of course he has but who hasn't.phil has done a lot of good for people.just two examples he got Mike Williams out of jail when he was stuck in jail when Katrina hit.he was coming off methadone in Morgan city jail.he also spoke at Loyola University about his struggle with heroin which I'm sure was hard to talk about but he did just to educate young musicians on the dangers of drugs.long story short he does things for people because he cares and doesn't want people to go through the same things he went through.no Phil is not a racist hes a good dude just misunderstood.

    And I don't care what anyone says, this dude is absolutely high on opiates of some kind in this interview. "Hitting rock bottom" and going through tough times doesn't make a person act and speak this way. I've gone through a hell of a lot in my lifetime too.......including watching friends waste away from being high on heroin and prescription pills. I know exactly what it's like. And I'm telling you, and I hate to do it cause I like Phil, but I'm telling you, I'd bet a lot of money that he was high here in this interview.

      I'm right there with you. I was on opiates and now I'm coming off methadone after 9 years. I see things so much clearer. He's definitely on something whether it be benzos with methadone, or alcohol with an opiate or benzo.

    I'll say this ans say it again, this is an awesome, deep, emotional, and somewhat of a life changing interview for me and probally other fans and people out there. Esp. during the end when Phil was saying and comaparing the use of the word love and hate. Its pretty psycological, deep and informative. Well said Phil. This guy is growing, the right way. I'm pretty surprise and proud of Phil Anselmo. Positive life advice from a rock heavy metal icon.

    • @elemental3066
      @elemental3066 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hate is a reaction born out of caring a lot though, true indifference is the close door and point of no return.

    • @mariamg897
      @mariamg897 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hate is an extreme term and even worse than indifference.. It devours the soul it's harmful for the person itself and for society

    • @elemental3066
      @elemental3066 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      no its not, without hate love would be meaningless and unimportant.
      Its a natural signs of being displeased with something or someone you care about, but obv it should be in harmony with reason, there is a good and bad kind of hate depending on the context.

    He is doing MUCH better these days, but I know for a fact that he is drinking again. I saw Down last week and he was watching the opening bands while drinking behind the drumset, and then came out on stage chugging a beer and then throwing the bottle. Nothing wrong with drinking beer, just hope it doesn't get beyond that.

    • @Nissardpertugiu

      Priest disciple .
      The continuity
      But he had the parameters of his own for what he exposed later
      But this album , its a kick ass heavy .. well Power metal record of the time .
      It shows where Phil came from and metal fans , Pantera fans , pantera tribute singers ...
      Dont snob that record from the urban myth of that Glam assimilation that media did in 90's .
      This is bullshit .
      Everybody had poofy hair then , look 80's bathory 1987 , and Infernal majesty , morbid angel , celtic frost and so on ..
      In what this is different ?
      Its a fuckin heavy record .
      In league with Priest , In league with Metal church and stuff .
      And study this record , study thoses influences from the 70's , and early 80's .
      Priest , Trapeze , Deep Purple, rainbow , british version of Whitesnake , uli roth era of scorpions ..
      Back even to howlin wolf , little richard James brown
      When the guys could sing , but created the screeching we use for extreme stuff .
      This and Power metal is where you had all the breath support and technique that Phil possess and use even in his departure for his own
      Thats why , in the more oldschool tricks , you struggle to sing CFH , this Love , and Reinventing the steel stuff .
      Don't took the hardcore screaming of phil , because hes much more of that .
      And he took his craft seriously .
      Very serious
