If you’re having problems with loose joints or ball joints I’d recommend just painting the ball joints with any kind of a paint that Stiffens them up and makes them less shaky
note that this suit is a much smaller & compact descendant of the massive Queen Mansa from ZZ, even though considered 'smaller' heck its still looks massive compared to other suits in the OVA.
Modelmaking Guru I won't be covering anything already covered on loads of other channels, haha. But hey who knows, everyone does things a little different
The description you use for it around the 13 min mark is pretty much spot on. Really needs a Bandai 1/100 scale made of it id love a PG honestly but it would be way to expensive (and I don't think id have space to display it) love that its very sticker minimal. Cant wait to see the wip videos you do on this specifically the reverse wash. Ive watched a few reverse wash tutorials and I kinda understand how to do it but not 100% certain and yours are some of the best tutorials ive watched in actually explaining stuff.
Just in case you don't know, bandai had a prototype of the MG Kshatriya back in 2010 and they gave up on that because the binders are too heavy to support with its mechanical arms. They had to use diecast parts to solve that issue and it would add a lot to the cost and price tag will increase too. And the size of this MS is huge.......RE100 Nightingale is already very pricey, even they release it in RE(which I think they probably will) it still probably cost around 8000+yen
I'm sure plenty of people would happily pay over $100 for a 1/100 kshatryia. the sazabi and psycho zaku ver ka have both done very well and their prices are up there as well.
I actually got my hands on the g-system-shop 1/72 Kshatriya and I have to say it's the best one by far. The sub arms surprisingly can hold the beam sabers if you put them in at a certain angle.
I rather hope for a RG version than a MG, I think 1/100 might be a little on the large side. but then again I probably would buy it anyway as the Kshatriya is my favourite MS design.
I feel like they would run into the same problems as with an MG version. While an RG would be lighter the RG frames tend to be more fragile and would probably have just as much trouble holding up its weight as an MG version.
@@zetatrain I'm a couple years late but with the engineering in the RG MSN-04 Sazabi and the RG Nu Gundam I think they've strengthened up RG kits enough they could probably pull it off now, and I really hope they do, deffinitly going to get this to stand alongside my RG Sazabi though in the mean time, two of my favorite Zeon Mobile Suits
I’m interested in this kit, because I’m watching Unicorn Gandam on Netflix. Which is kind of confusing because I don’t know history behind the Sinanju, and Zeon, and thr main character is so different from the 00 and orphan series but Im liking it its ok. Thanks for this video ‘till next time Zaku!
the binders never open up on top till the fed modded it for funnel missiles, you can t hope for it something never happened in the show to exist in the normal kit. PS: posted in wrong video
Putting mine together tonight and those black and white stickers look SO bad. If anyone is planning on getting this anticipate on having to paint those details
Steffey We don't even know if they are going to release one. The suit is just one of the possible release according to Bandai, but not even a prototype has been released yet.
Joeie Rivera i know But a 1 100 Kit of the kshatriya would be massive and expensive, even if it Takes a while for bandai to release it it will be so expensive that some people might have to save some money
Hey, I've been thinking of doing some painting on a kit (I'd like to do a ReZEL Type C in regular colors, not GR colors), but I've never painted a kit before. What sort of equipment do I need to get to do that, and do you have any advice on doing that?
Dominik Badawi check out my "Gunpla building" playlist, which covers painting with spray can. Airbrushing or hand brushing is really the best though (I airbrush). There are loads of tutorials on both if you search TH-cam
I love this thing but the stickers are awful.. Only new to Gunpla and haven't painted anything yet but this is making me want to paint the white details.
Did you know? A prototype of the MG Kshatriya was shown in a MSG:UC Ep.7 event in Japan? Though knowing its design, they couldn't just make it work. I am just gonna hope for the RE.
CarrotChronicles personally I don't really care much about articulation in reviews in general, but I know a lot of folks do so that's why I do it. And that point in particular just always slips my mind I guess. I think you can see in my posing how it is, and if it's really limited (by the side skirts, for example) then I usually mention that.
Hey Zak, i know this isn't relevant to the video, so i hope you don't mind i do this once. I'm thinking about making a custom HG Gunpla soon, but don't have the right kits to build it. You do, however. Could you try putting the pieces together and see if it works for me?
Cr33p3rKid Yep, as Rusty said, dalong.net is the best resource for seeing how parts are shaped. If you wanna send me a message on Facebook I can try to help you as well.
So in order to swing the arms out fully straight forward, the binders swing to the back of the MS? I do not like that whatsoever. Other than that its a great kit.
David Leyva Probably not gonna happen the likely reason we still haven't gotten a MG kshatriya are the binders requirring metal parts jacking up the price
This Mech was basically the nail in the coffin towards my preference for the Zeon designs over the EFF ones... Ordered myself a Metal Club 1/100 NZ-666 Kshatriya supposedly arriving within the next 1-2 weeks or so.
Mine still holds together well even after all these years, except the right shoulder lifting articulation is kinda loose. Old Bandai is truly dedicated fr But tbh I still want an RG or MG that doesn’t need sticker or paints for the patterns on the sleeves and the chest
this looks like it has a LOT of panal lining oppurtunities...though my Nadleeh could probably stand on Her Her in this statement meaning Kshatrina...WATCH GUNDAM UNICORN ALREADY
any word yet on a 1/100? I don't keep up with gundam news on my own, I have kept this HG in the back log because I cant bring my self to building it. I use 1999hobby.jp for seeing what kits are next. Third party stuff kinda comes out of left field and surprises sometimes, hopefully somebody builds one like the old garage kit version without the nightmare of resin!
bandai never ever maade a mastegrade of this bulky gundam, is too big and was to expensive, is more big than the-o, now imagine the box and the runners for a mg kshatriya. I have this hg and is a very good model, the size is like uc mg , I prefer this normal ver , the repair is a crap
This is probably my favorite mobile suit despite it being a late model Zaku that’s bee hyper upgraded with all sorts of parts.
if an rg existed, id buy.
I'd buy it so fast I want an mg though
I too want a MG version of this kit
Nah we need a mega size
Still waiting
No we need 1/1 scale
All Hail the flying bellpepper!
:O
OoO
That's All Hail the flying GODLY BEAUTIFUL bellpepper to you. Sir!
I just think of it as Cthulhu Gundam
1/144 uses a 1/100 base. What will the 1/100 use? Where is your Gunpla god now? I hope it won't be a Nightingale brick.
Pretty much gonna end up like the Sazabi ver Ka
Ghost L IF they ever make a 1/100, it will surely be a brick. Even this kit is slightly better than brick status.
Ghost L you sir are asking the real questions! I don't know why but your comments giving me a case of lolz!
Taps finger on the side of my head* it cant bust your action base if it doesn't exist
A perfect grade 1/60 base?
You know I would love to see a master grade or real grade. I would totally spend my money on this
If you’re having problems with loose joints or ball joints I’d recommend just painting the ball joints with any kind of a paint that Stiffens them up and makes them less shaky

I want to see a build fighters/divers variant of the kit.
HUEG!
I'll look forward to the WIP videos and I will take notes quietly and hope no-one notices ^_^
Modelmaking Guru FOX YOOOOO
IT'S FOX HOW'S IT DOING
All cool, but knackered after a three-hour gloss coating session. I have respirator-mask face ^_^
Modelmaking Guru oh man sounds rough. or... not?
(ha, cuz it's all glossy. I'm funny)
Modelmaking Guru I won't be covering anything already covered on loads of other channels, haha. But hey who knows, everyone does things a little different
Ah, you never know what might spark an idea in my brain's foldy-parts. But I always enjoy watching other builders work their magic anyway ^_^

I frickin' loooove this guy's design. What's taking Bandai so long for a RE100 :(
DRAPION probably just the fact that it would simply be too heavy in 1/100 scale
Seeing as how things like the 1/100 Nightingale and 1/144 Dendrobium exist, I think it's totally possible to do.
Just in case you don't know, bandai had a prototype of the MG Kshatriya back in 2010 and they gave up on that because the binders are too heavy to support with its mechanical arms. I really like this kit but the price is slightly out of my budget. : (
Those wing binders sure could use a flat top-coat, they reflect so much light you might as well use it as a solar panel.
Everyone gangsta till the Kshatriya becomes the Gundam X.
I always think in this binder as shields. I love Marida.
What if they do make the master grade and include the parts to make the repair version?
You know that'd be a P-Bandai.
Kyle Morgan it's obvious that they would do that just to make a few bucks
Kyle Morgan I doubt it, considering how many new parts it would need. Maybe the kyshatria repaired.
stingray024ify It'd likely be a P-Bandai upgrade kit that you buy separately, like they did for the RG Exia.
I rather hope for a RG version than a MG, I think 1/100 might be a little on the large side. but then again I probably would buy it anyway as the Kshatriya is my favourite MS design.

they came from different universe,
I always surprised by how those shouders look in real life
it really is one HELL of a mobile suit.
why are the hg unicorn kits so freaking awesome holy cow
some of the best designs come from unicorn
Coolio Ash even grunt suits are sick! Really love the ReZel General Revil version, Gundam UC really feels like the real militaristic designs of MS's.
Coolio Ash yep, HG kits from Unicorn are some of the coolest!
Because Katoki Hajime XD
Thank you, based Katoki Hajime.....
....And will that guy stop with the Ka that he uses when he makes kits? Not everyone knows Katoki.....
Yes! Reverse wash tutorial, please!
the binders never open up on top till the fed modded it for funnel missiles, you can t hope for it something never happened in the show to exist in the normal kit.
PS: posted in wrong video
Putting mine together tonight and those black and white stickers look SO bad. If anyone is planning on getting this anticipate on having to paint those details
man, I miss Marida I want this
I kind of miss that intro
How hard is it to apply those sleeve stickers
because the sleeve part and the sticker part has to be inline and it takes some time
to put the sticker carefully .
Can you close the Binders around the Kshatriya? I'd probably never pose it like that but im curious if you can re-create that.
Kirari yup but with some gaps it looks like a bell pepper
there is a SIM pro resin conversion kit for this that is dope
zac do you still give a bath to the runners before build and topcoat? and how old should a kit be to warrant a washing before building?
Christian Siose I only wash parts before painting so they are clean of any dust, oil, etc. you should wash before spraying anything basically
Yup saving myself for the RE/100 version.
It's not even announced yet.
Joeie Rivera because it would be Big release thats pretty likely to Cost over 100$ we all Should Start saving XD

Steffey Probably around the price point of Sazabi version Katoki and Nightingale.
I heard that there will be a 1/100 scale of this kit on the Reborn 1/100 line
Bahaki Bayu it's being considered by Bandai, but no confirmation of production yet

Third biggest or fourth biggest HGUC kit after the Penelope.
I can think of 4 HG that are larger than this. 1) Nightingale 2)Xi 3)penelope 4)psycho Gundam
It's Emerald WEAPON from Final Fantasy 7
i hope bandai made a ver ka of this badass kit
I love this thing but the stickers are awful.. Only new to Gunpla and haven't painted anything yet but this is making me want to paint the white details.

I swear that I would pay up to $ 500 dollars for a Mg ver la of this kit.
I wish to add this MS to my 1/144 scale UC display, but i was wondering if the robot damashii would look better? or would it be too small?
A O'G the robot damashi is definitely smaller
It has effect parts though.
Great review, just curious why do you always fail to mention the side to side movement of the legs in almost all of your reviews.
CarrotChronicles Like the Unicorn

REGAL DESIGN MATE.... REGAL DESIGN!
So in order to swing the arms out fully straight forward, the binders swing to the back of the MS? I do not like that whatsoever. Other than that its a great kit.
Yeah unfortunately just due to the design
hey Mr zak. can we built this from 2 kshatriya repaired?
itsrifahanif Now why would u want to do tht
A 1/100 Version of this kit would probably cost as much as a PG kit
you did any panel line on this kit??? video????
No
beautiful
Are the details like the chest molded or not?
Dovakhiinification where the sticker is? it is molded I tried to paint it but end up not finishing it.
