Loved my Hyabusa but now too old and scared of the monster I bought a 3 wheeled scooter due to hip problems. What a wonderful invention a bike that stands up on it's own and goes round bends like a motorcycle. Whilst London police use them the UK biker see's them as a freaky form of transport. Bring it on I say. Bloody brilliant.

How about a short review. Watcha riding now? Pros? Cons? I too am now in need of three wheels as l have slight balance problems post stroke.
I will be in the same situation as you soon in terms of riding. I'm looking for a Tricity or Piaggio in the U.S. Not easy to find.

At just over £10k new in the UK, the Niken GT is a steal (evidently UK sales have not been that great). I just picked up mine in Nimbus Grey. Superb piece of kit for 2/3 of the UK release price.
I own a 2009 Piaggio mp 250. Fun bike to drive. Won it yrs ago at a casino. First time bike owner.

Started off with a MP3 250 then a fuoco 500 now on a Yamaha Niken.

Front breaks are slow to grip in wet weather, scary, also my mp3 300 hpe has notchey stearing and its only a year old ,would like to add front head light not much use as it doesn't light up the road much does a good job of dazzling on coming traffic even after being adjusted by a piaggio mechanic, the under seat light is better with the bulb removed, it shines into your face preventing you from seeing and occasionally gives you a flat battery in the morning as it stays on even with the seat closed other than those issues great bike, fast,great mpg,handles well
I love my Peugeot Metro RXR, had nothing but good rides and times with it. As a matter of fact, Im in Andorra right now and its a blast. I will soon upgrade to the new GT. 👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌👌

@@jaimedelgado7529 just like a 2 wheeled one, but with better grip and safety. It only takes 2 hours to get the hang of it. The botton to lock the front suspension is great, no need to put feet down for nothing, and you can even park it with out putting it on center stand.

The CV3 has yet to come to the USA unfortunately and that's the one I'm eyeing. Right now I have a Kymco Super 8 that I've put to the test and when a product name has proven itself I tend to continue on with the name for following purchases.
The Piaggio MP3 looks nice and some guy in town owns one but I've yet to catch up to him to ask about his experience.
Either way, the CV3 is my intention when it finally is released here. Its look is more distinguishable among its competitors.

@@McFaddenWasRight .....Nor Canada, the one Toronto dealer still has two 2015 Kymco MyRoad 700i unsold, so might be reluctant to order any more new bikes. I would prefer the CV3 as its based on the AK550.

Question why is the Piaggio MP3 550cc, Peugeot Metropolis 400, Piaggio MP3 300 Yamaha Tricity 300
all can be ridden on a car UK license but the Yamaha Niken GT needs a full drive license. Yet the dicence between the two front wheels looks bigger on the Yamaha Niken GT.?

I have an MP3 500LT in the UK, I cannot recommend anyone buying one, if you commute through London's congestion TAX zones.
It's impossible to contact Piaggio support, as their mail inbox has reported as being full for some time now.
I've had allot of problems getting mechanical repairs on the MP3 and there are not many MOT centres who will test MP3's.
I have one in Scotland and I love it!!!, no probs with MOT and service.
The last one is not a concept ? Impossible to find it on the market.

MP3 300 is inferior to the 500cc. If you’re going to buy one don’t skimp on power because you’ll regret it later.
I wish 3 wheel bike concept come to Indian automobile manufacturers.

Where is the KYMCO CV3?
Yamaha doesn’t lock out like the mp3 500 and that’s what they have over everyone. The ability to stay upright at a full stop. As a rider with nerve damage this is everything. Can Am doesn’t have it either
Can Am isn't tilting is it?..so doesn't need a lock out as it doesn't tilt.
Yamaha can stay up on its own and can am don’t need too. Do your research.

I have come reluctantly to tricity 300 after 50 years of motorcycles have back problems that stopped me riding my two wheelers the stand assist is just perfect for my needs when needed but it is so well balanced its not took a while to get used to it as i came from triumph bonnevilles and suzuki gsx1400 weight makes it very stable on any type of road or city driving never had any problem with stand assist

It doesn't seem like the three-wheelers need or even should counter-steer in the corners. Is this true and is it hard to get accustomed to?
I counter steer my tricity 155 exactly the same as my motorcycle
My piaggio mp300 hpe rides exactly the same as my motorbikes (Bmw K75 and Triumph tiger) so you need countersteer. There is literally NO difference.

when we know the automation of an electric scooter we understand that you live in a city and that you use your vehicle to do the 10 km that separate your home from your office! the typical profile aimed at by the electric vehicle in fact. if you want to travel the country with your vehicle, you spend more time around the charging stations than driving!

Yes and it has the same engine as the ak550 scooter which has apparently been tweeked a little so should perform like the Yamaha tmax

one big minus, they all have weird baggage slot. like usual scooter. 3wheel width cannot help increase baggage space. and those scooters order make little bit... useless
I wonder if Peugeot will fight the judge's ruling of Piagio copyright infringement, or cut their losses and pay the EUR 1,5 million fine.
Will definitely be interesting to see how things pan out, the Metropolis is a good seller for Peugeot

I drive a 2016 Metropolis. My left wheel snapped off while driving. Was going about 45 km/h so not badly hurt. But what a piece of shit bike that thing is. DONT BUY PEUGEOT

I am a proud owner of a 2007 250cc Piaggio MP3. It's my daily rider. Great on gas and great for highway speeds. Never going back to the 2 wheel segment.
Can you hit 130km/h? And how is it in the rain?
@@Chilibe Mine does top off at 130KPH but I usually ride within 65/70KPH on the highway. As far as the rain, she handles really well on wet roads.
I have mp3 400cc, and I would like to have more power, so if you're a daily commuter 400cc is the minimum you should take.
Even my tricity 155 does freeway speeds no probs but not much power left for overtaking at 105 kmh
