Have you ever thought about the fact that Cassie's books and Uncle Rick's books might be happening in the same world? Like, coexisting? It's a headcanon of mine. We know that like a lot of religions exist in these worlds, like the Greeks and the Romans, so why not the Christian capital G God with all those angels and stuff and the badass shadowhunters would be like the badass demigods or something. I don't know if I'm making sense.
God does exist in the Shadowhunters world. in book 5, Raziel tells Simon that the mark of Cain is allowed to be put on a person only by God. hes says it.

I love the magnus/sam brotp relationship and hearth and blitz are SO FUNNY. when we meet thor, I ended up imagining him looking like Merida's dad from Brave. I loved Jack, and Ottos, and ALL THE ANNABETH PARTS. I'm so exited for more Riordan!!! *SPOILERS BELOW* When I finished the last chapter, I didn't want it to end there, so I actually ended up writing a fanfic called Mythologies Collide that told the story from Annabeth's POV and then continued after the last chapter ends because I NEEDED TO HEAR THAT CONVERSATION.

i loved this book so much...i swore that i wouldn't get into another rick riordan series (especially after BOO) but this was so amazing and made me so happy! the biggest takeaway for me was hearthstone and blitzen. i love them so so so so very much and i'm so excited to see the representation that rick pulled into this series! sam is amazing! hearth is amazing! they're all amazing and i loved every character! i've been waiting for you to finish this book for forever so i could cry about it with you haha
Magnus's tolerance grew to Jack's feats because he and the group (blitz, Hearth, and Sam) had bonded and become a family. They became one. They each took a fraction of the stress, causing everyone to lose a little bit of energy. I guess if Jack does something incredibly incredible, the whole group would pass out all at once.
Have you heard about the new Percy series coming out may this year? Rick called it the capstone to the Percy series, wrapping up every character from both series----- the trials of Apollo. IM SO EXCITEDDDDDDDDD XD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Gah! I love the book since it's about norse mythology! Ever since we talked about it in school I fell in love with it and it makes me so happy to read it! I just wish we learned it more in school. And it makes me so happy to hear the word " Sweden" or " swedish" because it finally feels like my country is on the spotlight, even if it's for 5 seconds.

I got to 6 minutes then I noticed that there were still 14 more to go, I loved every second of this video!! My favourite parts were all the Annabeth bits and slight references to Percy Jackson, made me SQUEEE!!! I definitely prefer Percy Jackson to Magnus Chase but I in no way disliked it!

I LOVED the part when Junior the dwarf tells us about the paradox ingredients! When i read that I honestly laughed out loud. It was genius! Also at the end when Magnus and Annabeth make bet over who's life is weirder and the fact that Rick named that chapter "I loose a bet" it's like he tells us a tiny bit of what is going to happen and u forget about it but then after u read u read the the chapter ur like "oh I see what u just did there"
Ok I really want Rick to make a whole multi-perspective 5 book series that is an Greek-Roman-Norse-Egyptian crossover series. Like all the demigods and gods have to band together to fight one ultimate evil. Pick 2 from PJO, HOO, MC, TOA and TKC. I vote Percy, Annabeth, Leo for the Greeks. Hazel/Frank (either one) and Reyna/Nico. Obviously Magnus and Alex. I haven’t read TOA or TKC yet but I assume the siblings in the Egyptian series would make the cut and Apollo (if he’s still mortal) and whoever else.

I loved watching this video because it's the first time I've seen someone NOT knowing about Norse mythologi. I'm Swedish so we start with those myths in middle grade lol. And hearing your pronounciation was so adorable! But those words are hard to pronounce sometimes even for me with my head start!
I love hearing people who doesn't know much about norse mythology talk about it! Riordan is a genius! In Norway we learn pretty much everything about it. Very little exciting has happened here since the vikings, so we had to learn about something. Also, i know like 5 people named Magnus, so I don't really get the point in asking Cassandra Clare if he could use it. Anyway, the book was fantastic! I'm really hoping we'll meet Percy at some point :)
I really wanted to see the outcome of the bet between Annabeth and Magnus as soon as I finished, then I realized that the last chapter title is I Lose A Bet :D I'm so excited for the next two books, it definitely seemed like we will get more Annabeth.

I always find it funny how magnus everytime he meet annabeth he always try to cover up what's going on with him because he didn't want to put annabeth in danger and stuff. and I'm sitting here be like oh mango cheese let me tell you about one or two thing about your cousin and how badass she is.
I loved all the refrences to tv shows and stuff like that. At a certain point ik the conversation with Thor it's they keep coming back like the league of assasins in arrow and I fangirld alot. Arrow is one of my favorite tv-shows. 😊🎉

Hello! I when i was reading I didn't really grasp the time of the book. Like Rick never described Annabeth's age in the book. Does this take place in between PjO OR hOO? Like I found that part confusing. I talked a lot about that in my review but I was wondering what you thought. Like I don't know if this is after Hoo or not. Magnus also made it sort of like he waS older.... IDK LOL!
It's really cool hearing your opinion on Norse mythology because I live in Sweden (which is kind of where Norse mythology comes from) so I already knew some stuff since we learn about when we are small :)
I loved how I was learning about the Norse myths. I like how Freya called Wednesday Woden's Day I remember learning in school that the days of the week are named after the Norse gods the only ones I remembered were Thor and Frigg. Fun fact: in northern Europe our days are named after the Norse gods and in southern Europe their days are named after the Roman gods. Also the town where I live was a place where the Vikings once settled. I know this because the places where the Vikings settled in the UK end in BY my town is called Formby. I can't wait until The Hammer of Thor and The Trials of Apollo 2016 is going to be EPIC.
Also I heard he is going to bring together all of his series into one huge last series. Like he bring the Greeks, Roman, Egyptians, and now Norse into one last series... Maybe they all save Ragnorok?

You should check out the Mythos Academy Series, I personally loved these books! It is also has a lot of Norse Mythology but also a little bit of all Mythologies. It was real cool! Would love to hear your thoughts on the books.
Magnus is soo freaking sarcastic and its greaet... Im super excited for the whole percy and Annabeth intertwining thing and im so glad we get the ridiculous chapter names. Cant wait for the hammer of thor and trials of apollo
I felt that with PJO and HOO the humor was thrown in at the right times and was just so natural. But I felt like with this book, Rick Riordan tried too hard to make us laugh. I also felt like there was an information dump on my head, which I didn't feel in the other series. Maybe it is just me.
I actually laughed a lot during this book, Magnus is a pretty good POV character to read through. Definitely felt the sass haha. The ending was a bittttt rushed for me though, but the first 3/4 was really good. And I'm from the Boston area so it was kind surreal reading all of the locations and going OMG I KNOW I KNOW!!!

Ok I really want Rick to make a whole multi-perspective 5 book series that is an Greek-Roman-Norse-Egyptian crossover series. Like all the demigods and gods have to band together to fight one ultimate evil. Pick 2 from PJO, HOO, MC, TOA and TKC. I vote Percy, Annabeth, Leo for the Greeks. Hazel/Frank (either one) and Reyna/Nico. Obviously Magnus and Alex. I haven’t read TOA or TKC yet but I assume the siblings in the Egyptian series would make the cut and Apollo (if he’s still mortal) and whoever else.

The chapter that made me laugh for a good 3 minutes was “Hearthstone passes out even more than Jason Grace (Though i have no idea who that is)”

I loved watching this video because it's the first time I've seen someone NOT knowing about Norse mythologi. I'm Swedish so we start with those myths in middle grade lol. And hearing your pronounciation was so adorable! But those words are hard to pronounce sometimes even for me with my head start!
I also had a little trouble picturing hearth and blitz, but Rick has pictures of them on his tunbler and there so cool

I love hearing people who doesn't know much about norse mythology talk about it! Riordan is a genius! In Norway we learn pretty much everything about it. Very little exciting has happened here since the vikings, so we had to learn about something. Also, i know like 5 people named Magnus, so I don't really get the point in asking Cassandra Clare if he could use it.
Anyway, the book was fantastic! I'm really hoping we'll meet Percy at some point :)
I finished Magnus Chase recently too! Such good timing. Rick Riordan's humor is the absolute best.
I really wanted to see the outcome of the bet between Annabeth and Magnus as soon as I finished, then I realized that the last chapter title is I Lose A Bet :D
I'm so excited for the next two books, it definitely seemed like we will get more Annabeth.
I'm half way done with this book, it's pretty good so far! Can't wait to finish!

I always find it funny how magnus everytime he meet annabeth he always try to cover up what's going on with him because he didn't want to put annabeth in danger and stuff. and I'm sitting here be like oh mango cheese let me tell you about one or two thing about your cousin and how badass she is.

I loved all the refrences to tv shows and stuff like that. At a certain point ik the conversation with Thor it's they keep coming back like the league of assasins in arrow and I fangirld alot. Arrow is one of my favorite tv-shows. 😊🎉
It mixes with the trails of Apollo because Percy mentions Annabeth having a family problem which she had to deal with on her own

i really enjoyed the book bc i always realize/know something before it was even announced in the book (bc duh how could i not know anything about norse mythology when ur name is based on the norse goddess of love) lol
Oh man, I really need to read this book. I am from Sweden, so I know a bit about Norse mythology, I kinda grew up with those stories. (Not everyone does, though.)

I'm pretty familiar with Norse mythology and seeing all these gods and realms appear in this book just made me so excited.
I am mad at you for not reviewing the trials of Apollo Book 1 the hidden oracle like I just finished reading that book yesterday and I was finding your book review about that book and instead it showed me some like non spoiler review and I am like can I please have Kristen back and like pour out all her thoughts and me being like totally . Totally all the time ? Like please read the book . It's SOO good . PERCY is in it . And like the sword of summer is connected to the hidden oracle . Cause at that time Annabeth is gone to find Magnus . Yup . You have to read it .
Hello! I when i was reading I didn't really grasp the time of the book. Like Rick never described Annabeth's age in the book. Does this take place in between PjO OR hOO? Like I found that part confusing. I talked a lot about that in my review but I was wondering what you thought. Like I don't know if this is after Hoo or not. Magnus also made it sort of like he waS older.... IDK LOL!

It's really cool hearing your opinion on Norse mythology because I live in Sweden (which is kind of where Norse mythology comes from) so I already knew some stuff since we learn about when we are small :)
I loved how I was learning about the Norse myths. I like how Freya called Wednesday Woden's Day I remember learning in school that the days of the week are named after the Norse gods the only ones I remembered were Thor and Frigg. Fun fact: in northern Europe our days are named after the Norse gods and in southern Europe their days are named after the Roman gods. Also the town where I live was a place where the Vikings once settled. I know this because the places where the Vikings settled in the UK end in BY my town is called Formby.
I can't wait until The Hammer of Thor and The Trials of Apollo 2016 is going to be EPIC.

You should check out the Mythos Academy Series, I personally loved these books! It is also has a lot of Norse Mythology but also a little bit of all Mythologies. It was real cool! Would love to hear your thoughts on the books.

My dad has a book on Norse mythology and before I even read Magnus Chase I read it and it really helped me understand the book.

I felt that with PJO and HOO the humor was thrown in at the right times and was just so natural. But I felt like with this book, Rick Riordan tried too hard to make us laugh. I also felt like there was an information dump on my head, which I didn't feel in the other series. Maybe it is just me.

Norse has a LOT of info about gods, items, locations, so of course it's a lot to take in. But it was an amazing book and concept with Norse mythology
I actually laughed a lot during this book, Magnus is a pretty good POV character to read through. Definitely felt the sass haha. The ending was a bittttt rushed for me though, but the first 3/4 was really good. And I'm from the Boston area so it was kind surreal reading all of the locations and going OMG I KNOW I KNOW!!!
I needed this breakdown. I now have to go read this book again.
