From my understanding, Hera did kill Jason at the End of Lost Hero, but Jason „survived“ because Thanatos was chained up and the gates of death were open (and i guess Pipers Charmespeak convinced his Soul to stay in his Body). I only read a translated version of the book, but in german, thats how i understood it.

i loved this long video. some of your reflexions on certain characters storys i may not have noticed at first, like hazel's mom being abusive, and it totally added more deph and understanding for the characters that i already loved prior. would love to get the part 2 ❤

With the new show and book,I’m starting the entire series over and am back on my pjo bullshit and as a long-recap lover, i am living for this 😫👌 also really enjoyed the analysis section because as a preteen/teen when the books came out I didn’t notice a lot of the connections! Good job!

This series was my obsession in middle school/high school. All my friends loved it and I always looked forward to release days! Mark of Athena and House of Hades were my favorites :) I'd always try to read it quickly, because everyone would try to spoil plot points for me LOL like the ending of MOA

Piper is actually not straight, she's sapphic! She and Jason break up later on and she gets a girlfriend (named Shel, she's also native btw they're very cute). Later on in the books, Piper also mentions how her feelings for Jason were never actual real feelings and more like peer pressure and desire to please her mom (the goddess of love) and also consequences of the manipulation of memories Hera (goddess of marriage) did to her. It's a common interpretation amongst the fandom that Piper is a lesbian and going through some MAJOR compulsive heterosexuality, because this experience is very common to a lot of lesbians, esp younger ones, rick riordan himself knows about this interpretation and has acknowledged it as a valid and interesting one, since it dives into Piper's character a lot, but in camon material Piper uses no labels to describe herself other than "big queer mess" leaving it up to the reader to interpretate her sexuality or just not label her. ultimately tho, she's very much not straight.
