Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

You know, until I started watching your channel I had no idea the skill level it took to be a farmer.......I really thought it was as simple as dig a hole and plant a seed.....after watching your videos and others I now think of farmers in the same category as engineers and scientist.....you have to be a little of both today in the farming world...thanks for the education Zach.

Love your videos and I very much appreciate your work Zach. I'm not a farmer, but did grow up on a dairy farm, so for me it is just fantastic to ride along as you go about your very essential job for our country and the world. I'm sure managing your camera's and producing the videos is very very labor intensive so just want to thank you and your family.

3:55 from my experience using those fittings on pneumatics on robots, if it pops out cut the hose back about 1/4". Those push fittings bite onto the tube and they can pop off from wear. If you don't cut the tube back a bit it won't be able to get bite and it'll keep popping out.

also check that the release ring isn,t rubbing against something- water push fits can be fitted with guards to prevent this from happening

Congratulations....you are over 500,000 subscribers. John Deere will now be writing that check as well. Go Green!! Not a surprise considering that you not only share farming, you share your family with all of us and even some of your views of government issues. Everyone has opinions and the right to speak those ideas that they hold true. I for one applaud you on sharing those views and support you! Thank you Zach for everything you and farmers like you do for all of us! Thank your family also for sharing.

Hey Zach, if that air line pops off again, recut that air line slightly at an angle 😉

Rough the shiny finish of the line a bit with the/a knife blade. If you carry a bit of sandpaper, it works even better. The roughened tube finish (just a little!) will grab the fitting way better..

I really enjoy seeing videos not only from you but other farming channels testing and demoing equipment. The manufacturers get tons of exposure by doing it so it only makes sense.

Absolutely fascinating... I never thought of it this way, but you're literally trying to "mass-produce" the perfect seed-insertion into the ground literally hundreds of thousand times, if not more. This machinery is truly amazing. More content like this please. Awesome job!
