I remember when chet had 17k followers. He's come a damn long way and he's worked alot for it!! Keep up the great work and thank you Nicole for helping make these videos possible!
My best tractor is a 1965 farmal 856 ( no breakdowns, repairs, issues) all crops harvested, fieldwork done,,,, even washed it and painted it,, runs great( priceless)😎
When you said you were headed for Dawson, I think St. Olaf is just down the road from Dawson, and that is where my Larson ancestors landed when they came over from Norway in the 19th century
Find what you want in a body job grain truck or gravel truck. Take the box off and sell it put a fifth wheel on and boom stretch frame day cab tractor.
If it has the Paccar motor it will be a hit or miss. Some love them and others have had many troubles. But they ride good, and that pusher brings the value way up. Great Video!
We were at 15 above last Tuesday and it was unbearable. I can't imagine what 5 below feels like. Y'all keep warm up there. Prayers for Nicole, Chet and the whole Larson Family.
Why do you leave the unloading auger on the combines extended out in storage? Love your videos, I grew up on a farm and miss it now, so watching them brings me back.
Nice video, Chet your looking tired, maybe its just the camera, but your eyes look dark, You OK? Keep up the good works, just make sure you get some rest. peace to all of you.
Hey Howes fuel conditioner for your deisels in the cold . I have a grain and cattle farm and do some oilfeild hauling and a little howes a couple times a winter works great
Doug it is hard to let a good tractor or truck go. Sometimes it is best to take a bunch of pictures before it leaves. Just remember it is a thing to help you make a living. You will like the new one.
I still use my 1980 international dump truck every year for hungry I use my dump truck more than my semis you guys be safe stay warm your buddy in Nebraska
Ok, Chet you do not have a lot of time to organize this... but for April Fools day,,, have Dougo's orange truck wraped with a carebear theme.... it would be priceless.... lots of good video's footage....
I love the cascading upgrades. Start at the top and work your way down. I have replaced a single component that required the replacement of the three below it.
Better grab that sweet looking Pete up !! Those. Harley pegs are awesome you installed in the new tractor, come on spring time good bye cold a#$ temps!! ✅🇺🇸
Now grandpa is going to need another tractor. I bet he wanted to keep the 8520 . He probably would have kept it so he could pull the rock picker with it . But I know all to well that you cannot justify a new tractor without getting rid of the old one . We upgraded on bought a 580 quadtrac and a 500 rowtrac both are the new afs connect models. We traded a 290 magnum and a johndeere 8420 for them . Keep up the good work and stay safe!
Sad to see it leave, but it was for the better... maybe? Love the videos keep up the great work!! Hope Nikki is doing great! The hammer is staying right?
The Big Swede needs a haircut, you don't need one for a long time Chet. I keep you in my prayers Nicole, you still take care of editing all the big kid's well, hope to see you giving Chet a hard time this spring. God bless everyone, and pray for this country, because it's got some issue's in the decision making box.
I run a 2012 pete 386 just like that but my sleeper is 1 size smaller.. With a 53 foot reefer trailer im around 31-32,000 empty..i honestly love the truck!
Sad to see the tractor go. But looks like you guy got a pretty nice one to take its spot. Gray semi looks good to. Keep the good video's up. Stay warm dougo!!
Thanks for the video. Was a interesting video. From what we can see in a video that truck tractor you looked at appears to be well taken of and clean. Pusher axles are hard to come by. You never said what motor it has and how many miles. Believe you said it is from Nebraska bottom hopper hauler. Most of those folks are like all of you, take care of their equipment. Pinch the banker and say you need it. Another payment. Hard to see you old tractor go. Coming to Iowa-ya!!! Will keep my eye out for it-ha!! Looks good with the weights on the front. Someone is getting a very nice tractor, well taken care of. Like the foot pedals in the new one. You are going to have it all decked out with the new devices-neat!!! Thanks for your time and the video. Thanks to Nicole for editing. Nicole we think of you often. Trust you are doing ok and you feel better. All of you take care. Warmer weather is coming. Enjoy. Thanks. Iowa farm boy from years ago.
Off to Dawson y'all go? That's where I'm at. Y'all should have stopped by. Too bad I'm in Dawson, GA and I'm positive that's not the Dawson you were talking about.
Great video Chet. The new truck looks nice (if the Banker likes the price) hope he lets you buy it. Great hummer with the 3boys working together. Larson Farms has a great team
I like your RAM truck. I bought my RAM Laramie about 5 years ago and just turned 22,000 miles. No place to go. I don't know what my dad would say. He was a Ford man. He was 6'4" and could not get into a Chevrolet with his cowboy hat on but he could in the Ford. I kept my last Ford for 27 years. I know that too long but the cab look really nice. I was just making new truck payments in the form of repairs. I got the Mo Par Max care warranty which coves 5,000 parts for 1,000,000 miles. My old Ford had a 302 V8 3 speed. The RAM has the Hemi Engine with 8 speeds. That sucker will get up and fly.
Should have kept her dougo. Just seen one yesterday with a loader on it just like you wanted. Would have made you 😭😭. Hope the new owner keeps it looking the way you boys did
In my experience...#1...day cabs don't have enough leg room, can't get the seat back far enough.#2 stay with the long hoods, easier to work on, drive/handle better. #3 your going to learn to hate the emissions on it. Even if you get it deleted then no dealer won't work on it.spend more money and stay older...just my humble opinion.😃
I feel your pain Dougo. It is always hard to see a piece of equipment go that you spent so much time in. How long did you own it, any memories of riding in it with your kids?
They would work if you can drill through the floor safely without hitting frame work or wires. You mount them as close to the glass as possible in a 9420RX makes it easier for the floor mat.
@@LarsonFarms thanks for the reply!! I'm hoping to try them as Versatile are not fitted with pegs, or at least the 610dt that I drive doesn't have them anyway..
The "Harley Pegs" are a nice addition. Just just rest the back of my shoe on the brakes. Not that comfortable. Can't wait to see that gray truck on your farm. I know what happens when farmers go looking.
Now I’m going to look for weight kits on the tractors of all the farm-tuber’s I watch. Learned something new(always do!). Takes a lot of weight in the front end to pull whatever’s on the back end, unless, Dougo wanted to pretend he was popping wheelies on his Harley, huh?
Glad to hear that there's someone else not really interested in sport. I watch our Grand Final game of the AFL here in Australia but don't really follow the regular season.
I ran John Deer in the farm of Jasper Country Iowa... Now in Canada,in Saskatchewan,I farm 11000 acres. And we ran Fendt tractors and I deal combines and run 11 trucks? And the oldest is 2018.. But we also willl move equipment for a hundred miles.... And that’s road warpath...
When the snow squeaks like that when you walk on it, it’s freaking cold!!!!!
Respect for standing and hat off🇺🇸

That subject you don't wanna talk about just earned you two more subscribers. My hats off to anyone who can show a little respect.
Make that 3
We are looking forward to the 8520 here in Iowa!!! Can't wait!!
Really enjoy your videos! Your family's (and Eric's) character and integrity is so appreciated, and good example for others. God bless you all.
So nice to see Amy :) I'm missing Tobey, hope he is nice and warm.Prayers to Nicole and family - warmth wished for you all.

Watching you guys service your equipment, is driving us to service our equipment too. Thanks for working to feed others.
Made me cold just watching and hearing the snow squeaking when y'all walked. Enjoyed, have a great day. 🇺🇸
I will stand with you, Dougo! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Ditto
Hell Yeah we WILL STAND...because we understand what the flag stands for, bless their hearts
@@donniehauge9288, ya, respect to the Red, White and Blue!
& certainly not the desecrated grey ones with one colored stripe grrrr.
Murica, baby!
Seen an installation of a two way radio in a Terra Gator get mounted through corner cab post. Right through the Freon lines.
Thank you for another interesting video, I enjoy watching. Thoughts and prayers for Nikki, God bless.
Bayer truck equipment in elrosa Minnesota can build u any truck u want. Should check them out
The tractor you need to keep is the 70 Diesel
My Grandpa had a 70 but the wheatland style instead of the rowcrop.
If it has the Paccar motor it will be a hit or miss. Some love them and others have had many troubles. But they ride good, and that pusher brings the value way up. Great Video!
Thanks for reminding me why I have front linkage to drop on and off weight. I'm with Dougo on the progression.
Let’s go there! I’ll stand with you with hat in hand. 🇺🇸

That Dougo is a top notch mat holder. If he was a municipal worker he could qualify as a shovel stand. 👍
I still use my 1980 international dump truck every year for hungry I use my dump truck more than my semis you guys be safe stay warm your buddy in Nebraska
I side with Dougo on the 8520 awesome tractor!!! New owner should be very pleased with it
How is the little lady doing sending payers that is all good. Carl

Yellow flames with that Grey Petercar would be Awsum..... I guess it Depends?

Dougo rocks. His humor and comments always make me laugh
Anthem comment got me. Subscribed. Great stuff guys. Thank you for taking the time to create the videos.

Sad to see it leave, but it was for the better... maybe? Love the videos keep up the great work!! Hope Nikki is doing great! The hammer is staying right?
Dude, any vid with mom in it is a good vid!!
Dougo is a lucky guy!
Sad to see the big 85 go they are really workhorses but doug has a nice new planter tractor
Damn Chad that's sure a nice 386 Peterbilt you're looking at wow chromed out chicken lights whole nine yards fancy for a farmer like you guys
Jesus can Dougo have any more garage door openers

Great video Chet. The new truck looks nice (if the Banker likes the price) hope he lets you buy it. Great hummer with the 3boys working together. Larson Farms has a great team
I'm surprised that you didn't go for a newer 8R that is looks good and not as heavy as the 9rx. Still have a great week.
Great vid guys!! Thanks Nikki!
I like the banter between you and your dad. Was that mama who made an appearance in the video? I'm a fairly new subscriber and I have never seen her.
I will always stand and salute our 🇺🇲👍
Keep with the 379 ext hoods. They look much better. Or a W900L
You have a few knock off weights and a few deere brand weights that's why some of them are taller.
I like your RAM truck. I bought my RAM Laramie about 5 years ago and just turned 22,000 miles. No place to go.

I stand with Dougo !!! And I'll even remove my cap too!!
Great video. Best farm videos on TH-cam.
Dougo needs another garage door remote opener in that truck cab. Maybe throw a couple on the visors 😂
You're going to miss that 8520. I haven't been brave enough to keep a single 9R past the warranty period.
Ah Yes, Dawson, Minnesota! Did you visit Big Suede's favorite shops? Gnometown CBD and Casey's Take-Out? .
So. If yinz are getting a new truck, does that also another grain trailer is in the offing!?!?
I feel your pain Dougo. It is always hard to see a piece of equipment go that you spent so much time in. How long did you own it, any memories of riding in it with your kids?
How did you guys do the truck pit in the barn interested in doing one
Lankato don't do pegs for versatile but I wonder would those ones you fitted work as how much of a difference could there possibly be?
They would work if you can drill through the floor safely without hitting frame work or wires. You mount them as close to the glass as possible in a 9420RX makes it easier for the floor mat.

Hate to see the tractor go but the 9420 RX is quite the replacement
Sacrifices usually mean progress, progress usually means better money decisions... sometimes, well, occasionally. Great video, cheers :)
Selling and then adding, well maybe. 👍
Dude!!! Wish I would have had a shot at that 8520!!!!

Did you measure that sleeper bed to see if the Big Swede can mossy in for a quick nap? 🍁👍😉
That was a nice Pete and I am with dougo I am sad to see the old 8520 go to
America Dougo ! America!!! Yep still praying Niki!!
Nice looking semi truck I would come and drive it for you guys. Sad to see the tractor go but if the banker said well I guess 😢
Those gloves are the best wore them everyday this winter
Glad to hear that there's someone else not really interested in sport. I watch our Grand Final game of the AFL here in Australia but don't really follow the regular season.
Have you guys considered doing a sleeper to day cab conversion? It might save some money.
