I just made this, and I don’t know what I did wrong. But it turned out kinda hard and uneven. However, it still tasted delicious. Thanks for the recipe!

Looks good will it get hard if you keep the cookie came out or do you keep it in an airtight container so It can stay soft

Toss a slice of bread in the container with the cookie. The moisture from the bread will keep the cookie soft. Old trick I learned from my mom. She used it to keep brown sugar from hardening. I applied that knowledge to baked goods to retain their softer texture.

@@debrahaskell805 Thanks for sharing this trick. I made this but left it out and it got hard. Now i will try again!

I made this one today! I don't know what happened, but it rose a lot. And for some reason even with keeping it in the oven for twice the time, it still seems a bit under-cooked. I blame myself, because I'm not that great at baking. But I loved the taste, and I want to make it again.
Still don't know what went wrong, but I'll try again some day. :D

Your recipe online says 2 teaspoons cornstarch and you never mentioned that when making the dough and it also doesn’t say there’s any baking powder on the recipe online

How much baking powder should I put in the mix please I'm also wondering 😊

You say to beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, but doesn't all that air make this cookie-cake too cakey (fluffy)? Don't we want it to be more dense, like a cookie? I've heard it's best to mix the butter and sugar until essentially just combined. Can you speak to this?

In the recipe there is no baking powder. But instead cornstarch. Which is correct?
