I love Claudio. I love Coheed. I'll never forget seeing him at Warped Tour 9 years ago playing a double necked guitar with his teeth.

When I first heard the color before the sun I objected to the sound. I had been listening to C&C since a young teen and like most fans of bands I detested the change but I gave it thought. Sadly Coheed doesn't have the mainstream success they deserve and Claudio's life was changing with having a kid. I gave the album a chance with no expectations of it sounding like amory wars and I loved it. We as fans need to be more perceptive of what an artist is doing and where they are in life. I will always love C&C and support them and Claudio on whatever they do.
Anytime someone has a kid, everything gets fucked up. Just say no.
Rush talked about the same issue, adapting and evolving in a manner that reflects what the artist/band is experiencing in life but also doing it in a way that is mindful of the fact that without the fans, it doesn't matter. It helps when fans are appreciative of a wide variety of musical genres like I am. Ultimately, you want to listen to music that isn't merely self-indulgent but a healthy mix of the artist's and fans' interests.
I think as fans take ownership of a piece of art they forget they do not own the artist. He does not exist to fulfill your wants and needs.

Seriously! Amazing band and story writing. Loved amory wars. I think my family is sick of me rereading them and listening to the songs accordingly.

Claudio seems like one the most genuinely good people. Hes an excellent father and husband, incredible writer and musician. Hes intelligent and well spoken with the singing voice of an angel and hair that would strike jealousy into the heart of Zeus himself. C&C- everything they touch and create us actual gold.
Atlas is probably the greatest song they’ve ever made. I never want kids but dammit I cry every time I hear it, knowing a father can love that much, when mine clearly didn’t, it’s one of those things that restores faith in humanity
the earlier stuff is so much better
I hope Claudio keeps going, we need more amazing stories and music.
I wouldn’t mind seeing them do another album that has nothing to do with the concept like color before the sun

I’ve loved claudio since middle school when I first saw him on vh1 atleast 20 years ago. I love the story songs personally but everyone has to grow and change. Adore the prize fighter inferno too. Hoping to see you again in February!
So the new album seems to take place in the same story but well into the future. So the previous saga on the Amory Wars is over and a new story is starting which really excites me!
Despite not being linked to the Amory Wars, I definitely feel it in the album.
Full disclosure I loved this album but I'm so glad they are back to the prog conceptual stuff. Foo Fighters they are not. This album (TCBTS) was too commercial sounding, but the demos from TCBTS: Deconstructed are all badass, I like some of them more than the album takes.

As much as I love Coheed, Claudio needs to abandon them and pursue directions like The Prize Fighter Inferno for him to succeed in such wild concept music as that inspired by The Amory Wars. As much as these concepts about love and life mean to him, they're dime a dozen in music. We can find a multitude of artists singing about love, we only have so many singing about intergalactic space wars.
