By way, caste in India is simply a role a person functions in society. it is not attributed to ethnicity or skin doctrine, which was invented by the English colonialists. however after colonialism, there has been a blend of racism and caste.

it has been historical fact that they were brought as slaves in Gujurat. many escaped slavery though and formed their own kingdoms. and also allied with Maratha Indians to fight Mughals. They are of Bantu lineage and they are from Abbsynia/Ethiopia. that is why many Siddi rulers took their masters name too and taught Indians guerrilla warfare to fight against Mughals.
