As someome who's regularly had to clean decades worth of brake dust of wheels and refinish them for work, that was a pretty light coat and a bit of soapy water would have been enough.

I definitely would’ve liked to see you hit it with the pressure washer first to see if the pressure washer would’ve removed it. But thanks for a great video
I use wheel and tire cleaner from the dollar store. Spray, scrub like you did and pressure wash. Done. $1 for 16 oz. Turns out the same if not better. Followed up by jet x every six months.
In all honesty, I truly expected much more wheel dust to come off, especially using a pressure washer to rinse the solution off. I get that you are selling a product, but you often do side-by-side comparison with another product. I cheap out on my wheels and use Simple-Green. I think it would have done at least equally as well as the cleaner you are using considering that you still had to agitate it to get the majority of the grime off the wheel. IMO. . .

Simple green will work great....right up until it destroys the finish. It may take a year or two but eventually the acid of Simple Green will win. I learned this through bitter experience. :)
That was a great, honest and realistic demo; mercedes-benz produce crazy amounts of brake dust and eight months is a very long time for that dust to etch into the finish of the wheel and your product released most of the brake dust without agitation, that was really impressive, on top of that to be able to remove all of the brake dust with a very light agitation, it really deserves credit. I can't wait to try this product. On a side note, I like your channel a lot because of your honest opinion on products and techniques, you're not trying to just convince people that abc products are the best so they buy them and you can make money like obsessed garage.
Man what a video. I would say your wheel product is a no go. As an owner of a detail shop that took way too long. The fastest way to clean that brake dust is wheel acid. Spray on and literally 5 seconds later hit it with the pressure washer and it will look almost brand new. No scrubbing, no gimmicks, I will make a video to show in the future. Keep on testing those products. The acid we use is about 100 dollars for 5 gallons.
wheel acid is toxic, destroys the brake calipers, suspension hardware and wheel finish over time and it is harmful to inhale any mist or blow back during use. This product also has gone through 3 revisions and is sold worldwide in 165 countries because of how effective it is and safe with no fumes and no damage to the brake system and finish.
0:55 you left a fingerprint on the brake dusted rim even when it was dry. Brake dust or dust. The brake dust on my rims is way stronger than yours. 9:15 the best part of this video, it feels so nice.
Pretty sure most average vehicle owners would be lucky to have their wheel barrels cleaned every couple years or sometimes never in its life time. He made it sound like the 8 months of grime and brake dust was a torture test. No arguing that wheel was dirty but detailers are from another planet.
I use Autoglymn engine machine cleaner on the inside of the rims and it works better than any wheel cleaner. I then apply a coat of wax to protect them.Great demo .
I used to always use Autosmart wheel acid, I know people will be against that because it can be incredibly acidic depending on how you dilute it, but I've never had a problem even with vehicles like a Toyota Hilux or a Ford Ranger.
That’s good stuff, usually I’ll take an old battery drill a hole in it let the battery acid drain into a bucket and use a regular old paint brush and it gets EVERYTHING OUT. And yes I use safety gloves while doing it.

What is that attachment youre using?
I use muriatic acid to clean the rough surface afterwards. It will dissolve the steel brake dust burned into the rim finish
Just pulled the wheels off a car that hasn't hasnt had that level cleaning ever. probably 10 years of brake dust and grime. I tried three products . . . and a hell of a lot of elbow grease. The one that seemed about the best was Awesome APC from Dollar Tree. But it was a damned filthy job.
APC have a highly acidic base and do work but no matter how you slice it this is a nasty job and you must wear protection no matter what product you use, the brake dust is nasty
once you clean the wheel.. is there anything to keep it from building brake dust and crap from trashing the wheel again... or is washing the only way to keep the wheels clean
you can apply good waxes some guys use ceramic coatings but washing properly often is the best solution.
It does a great job. I just wish it was available at auto parts stores, instead of always having to order it.

What did you use for cleaner
I noticed the solution is able to do its thing. However, I am suggesting you to agitate it with a brush before you rinse it. You should have saved more of your solution. Good job!
So why do you need to clean the inside of the wheels, especially if you can't see it?
Iam impressed how little balancing weights that big wheel and tyre needed
Nice job. What is this solution that you use ?
Just get a better pressure washer. Seems like that is a step above a garden hose for pressure. Was it a pressure washer or a garden hose?
Dont brake dust eat into the rim? I have lots of brown stains on mine. Cant get them off with a pressure washer.
