Hey Pan...hope you're doing well my friend. No denying that there is value here, but I'm more of a P&S guy, but honestly now I prefer using separate wheel and tire cleaners. Amazing video as always ma man.
On a different note, do you have any videos regarding water spots during/after a wash, especially if it's hard water? Would love to see that.
Cheers and keep up the great work as always.

I got into car detailing thanks to Pan's tutorials about 4 years ago when i bought my new truck. If it's Pan approved you can be assured that the performance of the product will be good. I have been using brake buster and many of the leather products that have been reviewed and am very satisfied with the results. My go to source of information when determining whether to try a product or not.

I began to use Brake Buster gallon size in december last year, diluted 1:10 by recommendation of Pan in the Nissan Kicks 2022, and still have the middle of the gallon. For regular maintenance of wheels and tires is the best combo.

  • @PaulNicolau

The tire cleaned with P&S seems to be less brown, which to me seems cleaner.
I started using the P&S products for interior and exterior, and I am satisfied with them. The Brake Buster works great when I mix it with Chemical Guys Mr. Pink Car Shampoo in my IK Foamer.
I almost never have to repeat the tire cleaning since it cleans amazing, and I have a Jeep Wrangler with Off Road Tires, which are known to tramp more dirt than normal all season tires.
    Thanks for the Demo Pan!

you're correct ... first wheel was more brown than the second with P&S. To my opinion this has to do with the fact Pan used the front wheel first. For P&S he used the back wheel. To my opinion front wheels with a front wheel driven car (Nissan) are more dirtier than back wheels. Think Pan better used the other front wheel to have a more comparable situation.

I have been a brake buster user for 3 1/2 years now and couldn't be happier. I used to use bleach white tire cleaner on the tires only and a degreaser on the wheels, my preferred method of using brake buster is 1 to 1 for heavy, and 1 to 2 for normal in a foam sprayer, I feel it sticks better and doesn't dry out as fast (maybe it's just me) plus I get to stretch out the product, I typically buy it in the gallon since I only do our 2 cars but it last me a really long time. brake buster is hard to beat for its price and performance. thank you for your reviews I always look forward to them.

    Thanks for the shoutout Pan!
I use the maniac at 6.5:1 dilution, I believe that’s 200ml in the ik foam pro 2. I like the maniac on customers cars specifically. Like I said in the original comment, it did really well on some trashed wheels and seems to be a stronger cleaner overall in my experience. On well maintained and personal vehicles, brake buster is still great. I usually opt for diy all clean instead of brake buster in those situations because it works just about as good and I already have it out to use on bugs.
When I used brake buster on more neglected wheels and tires, I always used undressed on the tires with the brake buster. I’ve only really found brake buster effective on tires at full strength.

Brushes just do a better job of dirt removal than spraying on a chemical. Another great demo that really just shows me I need to spend more time agitating dirt with a microfiber than spraying either of these. Slow and steady still wins the race. A simple car wash soap in a bucket is probably just as effective, but I can see why you want that tire cleaned off in a single pass when speed is time is money.

@@PanTheOrganizer Hi Pan. Back in 2019, I bought a new Mustang GT, ruby red. After I ordered it in December, 2018, I started watching videos of how to care for my new car, and came across your awesome channel. I even bought products to use to clean my new car based on many of your recommendations. Well, sometimes plans fall through, and mine did. However, my Mustang is now going on 5 years old, and I still take it through the car wash at least once weekly, keeping it shined up and looking very sharp. I do hand dry it after the wash, rims included. It doesn't look like it has 78,000 miles, and I still get many compliments on how good it looks. I did order a new Mustang Dark Horse in blue ember metallic about a year ago, and recently got a new pressure washer. I enjoy your channel. When you share information on a specific brand or product, I think it is very helpful. When it comes to determining value / cost per use, can you also share if a product is only available at only one web site or is widely available from multiple sources. Unfortunately, some retailers will have a low list price for an item but then charge high cost for shipping & handling. It seems that some on-line retailers apply low prices to a specific line item but then make up for it with high s&h. Thanks. Keep up the good work.
PS As a retired chemical engineer I appreciated that you pointed out that you have a full understanding of the chemistry that you frequently have to explain (at least in passing) in your videos.

Adams wheel and tire is where it's at for me at least. Yeah its 50$ a gallon but also doubles as a decon wash so two uses at least. Amazon has adams on sale every so often for 30$ a gallon. I personally think its better than most any wheel and tire cleaner.

I use a Swedish brand, Arcticlean. They have a very good dedicated wheelcleaner and separate tirecleaner. The wheelcleaner is a bit too expensive, even in 5 Liter format.
Since I clean my car on a regular basis I have decided to use P & S Breakebuster with my IK2 Foamer on moderate dirty wheels/tire/wells and only use the dedicated wheel cleaner as needed. Also for the iron-decontamination step.
P & S is yet to be tested though but it looks promising 🙂

I forgot to mention that my truck is my daily driver, and I am always on construction sites so using a combination of Adams graphene tire dressing and brake buster to clean all the dirt off the tires is a great combination. it seems the tire dressing keeps the dirt from penetrating into the rubber as much which makes it easier to clean. this is my experience anyway.

Imo I like doing Shine Supply Wise Guy on the tires regardless, then using these to do a slight bit on the tires but mainly for the wheel. • @PanTheOrganizer
      @PanTheOrganizer  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

As much as I respect Yvan, and we have been friends for years, I don't share that same view on tires and tire cleaners. In 27 years of detailing, I haven't seen any evidence that cleaning tires and properly degreasing them (where the foam is white) is detrimental to the tire, or accelerates its deterioration or rotting. Quite the opposite actually. By cleaning the tires thoroughly, you allow the tire dressing to bond perfectly to the rubber, and the tire dressing has the UV protection that will protect the tires, and prevent rapid deterioration anyways.
According to leading tire manufacturers like Bridgestone, tires typically are good for 3 to 5 years on average. It's highly likely you'll be changing tires before ever seeing any evidence of something going wrong just because you used a tire cleaner to clean them.
Also, keep in mind that Yvan uses an APC to clean his tires, which isn't always exactly the same chemistry as they have in actual dedicated tire cleaners. So he might have a different opinion because he uses a different type of chemical.
Have you ever seen a tire destroyed because a person took too much care of them? Not me. Food for thought.
But in the end, you do what feels right to you. I like to work with clean tires. It's not like you have to fully degrease them for every weekly wash. Once in a while, when you need to reset the tire to a clean state, to apply a fresh layer of tire dressing.

Another 'Pan'tastic video, cheers. 'P and S Professional Detailing Products Double Black Renny Doyle Collection Brake Buster Total Wheel Cleaner', is an expensive product over here, in the UK. It is worth the extra money because of its safety, strength and dilutability. But what really sells it for me, is the corrosion inhibitors that this product contains, thus protecting the brake components from flash-rusting after washing.

Hi Pan, thanks so much for the video. When I got into detailing /weekend "warioring" after buying my Focus Mk4 st line you were the first channel I watched - so also thanks for all the years of dedicated work 😊 back to duel - I was in Italy last week , saw full maniac line lineup in the shelfs, I was very much thinking of buying wheel/tyre cleaner, finally ending up with their quick detailer - fyi, possibly the best I ever used. I switched to it at the store as I am very much focused now on a biodegradability of the products which will end up in the soil after doing their job - and there was no mentioning about this on wheel/tyre cleaner. Do you have any knowledge about it? Would you maybe consider adding this aspect to your future videos? I think it should ve a very important topic to anyone who takes care of their car, whether in a garage or a driveway 😊 thanks, all the best,Lukas
