From the first lyrics, you can say that this is about corruption. About people rebelling against the government, about having the back of people who are poor. Giving love and friendship to those who are wrongly treated, protecting those who are threatened for speaking up, and having hope for a better system. This also refferences their religion (how these corrupt people will pay for their sins). So deep! This is a song that can mean many things!

I'm 16 and just started listening to bamboo songs in yt. I like rock and I like these songs because I hate songs now, it's all about love life and being a hopeless romantic. I can see how it might have some impacts, because my peers likes to romanticize everything and they want to rush into relationships and stuff. I wish this was the type of music popular right now.

Nakakamiss! Nung kalakasan talaga ng banda noong mid 2000. High school to college days. Karamihan samin noon may banda, weekly may gig sa iba ibang barangay dito sa bulacan. Pero madalang talaga nagcocover ng bamboo songs nun. Iba kasi boses ni bamboo. Iba talaga kahit live napakalinis nila tumugtog! Actually, sila pinakamalinis tumugtog ng live. Kung ano yung record ganun din sila tumugtog sa live.

if my memory serves me right, itong song na 'to ang nagstart ng comeback ng Pinoy rock bands in the music scene nung early 2000. nung time na yung puros OPM Rock bands sa MYX and MTV. nauso din yung mga paconcerts like MYX Mo, MTV Staying Alive Music Summit, Muziklaban, Tanduay Rhum Rockfest, Oktoberfest, etc. sad nga lang kase ngayon wala na puros pop na ulit T.T sana bumalik ulit yung Pinoy band wave :)

I usually listen to songs when I drive and my music library is always on shuffle. So the other day when I was done with my grocery shopping and was on my way home, this song played. I suddenly felt very emotional.
I would just like to share my experience on that day. The grocery store would open at 9AM and while waiting, there were chairs provided for us who were lining up to get inside (the required distance for social distancing was applied so no worries). A few more minutes till the opening, the Philippine National Anthem played and of course, as a citizen and we were all taught in school to pay respect not just to our National Flag but also to our National Anthem, I stood up from my seat. And I noticed that only a few of us were standing. I tried not to let it bother me that much.
I didn't fully understood the lyrics of this song when I was younger. I just thought it was cool and because hey, it's Bamboo! But now with all these things happening to our country and with the current pandemic when I listened to this song after what happened that day, it hits differently.
