  • Welcome to Curry Leaf, a hidden gem where the essence of Indian cuisine is brought to life 🍽️ Nestled away from the bustling streets, this restaurant is a sanctuary of flavors and aromas. As you enter, you are greeted with a traditional metallic water jug, a sign of the authentic experience that awaits. The interior, adorned with large ethnic murals, creates an atmosphere that's both darkly elegant and welcoming. The soft melodies of ethnic pop and Bollywood music add to the immersive experience 🤩
Our culinary adventure begins with the Gobi Manchurian, a dish where crispy cauliflower florets are expertly tossed in a tangy soy, onion, and garlic sauce. The combination of textures and flavors is a delightful start to the meal. Moving on, the Lentil Soup 🥘, despite being only spice level 1, packs a punch with its aromatic blend of spices and al dente yellow lentils. It's a dish that warms you from the inside.
The Butter Chicken, a staple in Indian cuisine, is reimagined here. The boneless tandoori chicken is immersed in a creamy tomato fenugreek sauce, creating a barely spicy but deeply flavorful experience. The large, tender chunks of chicken are a testament to the care put into every dish 😋
Next, the Lamb Nihari 🍗 presents a slow-cooked wonder. The lamb shank, paired with yogurt and golden onions, offers a rich sauce that complements the meat's depth. Although our serving was slightly gamy and not as hot as desired, the flavors were still impressive.
No Indian meal is complete without Naan, and Curry Leaf's version is nothing short of perfection. The Garlic Naan, with its buttery aroma, is light, fluffy, and slightly crisp, making it the perfect vessel for these rich dishes. The Plain Naan, too, shines in its simplicity, complemented by fluffy jasmine rice
While the restaurant's bathroom may carry a dated look and a moldy smell, contrasting with the luxurious dining area, it's a minor footnote in an otherwise exceptional dining experience. The restaurant's shared parking in a small shopping center might seem unassuming, but stepping into Curry Leaf is stepping into a world where traditional Indian cuisine is celebrated and cherished.
