it's great to revisit videos of Remake reveals now, because as the project approaches its conclusion, it's become increasingly clear that we'll almost surely never experience anything like this again
Remake/Intermission is unbelievably amazing, as a completionist I'm over the moon with the experience from the original. Some of the boss fights like Weiss create such a unique level of difficulty, it's just so good
I couldn't have said it better myself. Perhaps a new generation will get a remake of another game in 25 years and they'll experience what we do now? But we sure as hell won't.
My favorite details about Tifa: 1: They did not skimp out on giving her muscle tone. She lifts. 2: Pleated skirt for a greater range of motion in the legs. Important when you're kicking. 3: Padded knuckles and arm bracers. Important when you're punching as well.

Smooth transition from cutscene to gameplay. They've also incorporated several elements from other FF series like the stagger system, and strategic use of the ATB. Subtle combination of old school and modern combat system. That's how you innovate a remake. Max's reaction was very genuine and really nice to see.
Dude this is perfectly. This is basically KH/FF15 done right! Even though FF13 was the weakest of the series, I did have a lot of respect for the stagger system, yet geniusly managed to combine that, WITH the real time action from 15, character swapping, control of attack, combos ,dodge and block - WHILE implementing the strategic side of the older classic FF games. This combat system is seemingly perfect. I just hope they balanced the magic system way better than 15 ever did. If they can do that right, then FF7 Remake will literally be THE best FF game. Hands down.

I scrolled a few comments under and people already complain that Tifa's breasts are too small and I'm like "who cares? just inject this game into my veins already".
All that waiting paid off never thought we would get this spoiled by Square themselves. My faith in them is slowly regaining. Also the FF8 Remaster was completely off guard I fucking love that game. Glad everyone can play and experience one of the best Final Fantasies.

After that trailer and presentation, I'm a lot more optimistic about the game. I'm actually excited now. I don't get all the people complaining about "It's just Midgar!?" Like, yeah, they're expending the story, they're giving us more character development. And while Midgar was relatively short in the grand scheme of things, doing it with modern production values is a whole other ball game.

Although yes, I still don't know what the hell is the thing people have with Devs when publishers are almost always to blame for bad marketing decisions and payment model.

Trust me thats what square is doing. Still got chill talking about this. You will be treated with a fantasy story that makes sense and you will realize that this will be the only final fantasy that will makes you love and hate the villain. You hated the villain that you really want to be in the game and rip his guts out. Im over exagerrating here but thats the truth I really hated sephiroth and loved him at the same time.
Tifa looks very Advent Children; not too exaggerated features but still noticeable. I like the direction they went in for her design personally, and I LOVE the way her limit break looks (I think they showed Aerith’s too, which I also really liked). Since Midgar is two discs worth of content this time, I’m really looking forward to how much development the Avalanche members are gonna get.
Yeah, my biggest complaint is that when the plate thing crashes and kills everyone, we do not know anyone. There was no character development for the Avalanche members, no bonding, it was really just for Cloud to realize he cares when it could of been more.
If they do it right, and I'm really hoping they do, it can be set up to where it makes you think that the story changed and they will live. All the way up to the plate drop, they can have you begging that they changed up the story. Only to see that it didn't. That would be a the massive "oh shit..." story moment.
FF7 Remake looks amazing as hell! Cloud, Aerith, Tifa and Barett all look awesome! Sephiroth looks all badass and evil as ever! Can't wait to play this March next year! ^_^

MAX, I see you in this video loving every part of the FINAL FANTASY 7 game with the TIFA reveal, you looked like a kid in a new toy house. I know what that feeling is like.
It looks like they learned lessons from FFXV's combat system to be honest. One of the common complaints was that item spamming trivialized what was an already fairly easy game and now you have to spend ATB on items which could severely limit your ability to heal. Also switchable characters something that they *eventually* added to FFXV by popular demand. The only thing cloud seems to be missing is some sort of mobility stuff aside from running/walking but you might get something for that later.

I don't get all the people complaining about "It's just Midgar!?" Like, yeah, they're expending the story, they're giving us more character development. And while Midgar was relatively short in the grand scheme of things, doing it with modern production values is a whole other ball game.
Those are the same people who said the Square Conference was trash in the twitch chat. Don't mind them, they're just NPCs in this world 😂
@Liao Lyon It's because here in the west Publishers have piised the hell out of most players, still don't explain why people hate developers instead of publishers, but it's somewhat understandable. Although yes, I still don't know what the hell is the thing people have with Devs when publishers are almost always to blame for bad marketing decisions and payment model.

I'm enjoying every bit of this beautiful masterpiece...I'm taking my time and not rushing through it going back and forth with Final Fantasy 7 remake and Nioh 2 since I'm starting to hear now that Ghost of Tushima is going to be delayed..
Damnnn I'm not even a fan of final fantasy, and I don't know shit about the story but damn it still got me hype. Hopefully, the remake will be amazing for a new person to the franchise.

Trust me thats what square is doing. Still got chill talking about this. You will be treated with a fantasy story that makes sense and you will realize that this will be the only final fantasy that will makes you love and hate the villain. You hated the villain that you really want to be in the game and rip his guts out. Im over exagerrating here but thats the truth I really hated sephiroth and loved him at the same time.

Tifa looks very Advent Children; not too exaggerated features but still noticeable. I like the direction they went in for her design personally, and I LOVE the way her limit break looks (I think they showed Aerith’s too, which I also really liked). Since Midgar is two discs worth of content this time, I’m really looking forward to how much development the Avalanche members are gonna get.
Hopefully, even if they're not playable, they do like previous FFs and they're bonus characters on missions?

Yeah, my biggest complaint is that when the plate thing crashes and kills everyone, we do not know anyone. There was no character development for the Avalanche members, no bonding, it was really just for Cloud to realize he cares when it could of been more.

If they do it right, and I'm really hoping they do, it can be set up to where it makes you think that the story changed and they will live. All the way up to the plate drop, they can have you begging that they changed up the story. Only to see that it didn't. That would be a the massive "oh shit..." story moment.

MAX, I see you in this video loving every part of the FINAL FANTASY 7 game with the TIFA reveal, you looked like a kid in a new toy house. I know what that feeling is like.
Really glad they made a whole new combat system for this game and didn't just use FFXV's. Looks really good.
It looks like they learned lessons from FFXV's combat system to be honest. One of the common complaints was that item spamming trivialized what was an already fairly easy game and now you have to spend ATB on items which could severely limit your ability to heal. Also switchable characters something that they *eventually* added to FFXV by popular demand. The only thing cloud seems to be missing is some sort of mobility stuff aside from running/walking but you might get something for that later.
I like ff15 story but I agree I love the combat for this game
