Shoot the events of SR1 might not have happened. He was Julius's right hand man so they might not have gotten as big as they did by the time they met up with the Protagonist.
Lowkey Troy is one of the most important characters the series - He saves the Boss from being killed at the beginning of SR1 - He keeps the Boss on life support for years even though everyone else wanted to pull the plug - He granted Gat special protection in prison even though the latter tried to kill him -He covers for the Saints throughout SR2 through SR3 and keeps them out of prison It’s just a shame he’s never mentioned after that and he’s sent to the deepest pits of hell for being a “betrayer” even though he’s helped the Saints in so many ways.
AHappyBlackGuy the worst is that there was no reference of him in SR3 and in SR4 when the boss of Saints Row became the president of US. It would have been better if Troy would help the protagonist during the election or better help Gat in gat out of hell. But Volition have totally ruined the flow of the story. Even there was no direct interaction between Troy and protagonist in SR2.
They need to do a reboot starting with 1 and 2 being canon and then make new games from there. They should remake undercover and build the rest of the series from there.
Another notable bit, during the opening mission of SR3, a cop in a helicopter says “Troy can’t bail you out of this one,” showing that even through SR2 and beyond, he’s still looking out for the playa.
Honestly I liked Troy, the way he thinked, the way he talked, just like Dex. Also his line after Playa gets put into a coma at the explosion and the way he says it “What the fuck was that??!! I said talk not set up a got damn bomb!”
Hes in gat outta hell (sorta). Hes a damned soul you control in one of the torture fraud activities. His model is no different than any other damned soul tho and you only know its him through Jezebel's narration
It's a shame we did not see him much in Saints Row 2. He pulled so many strings and helped us out so much yet we never really got to really interact with him.
I reckon Dex clocked Troy as a cop and managed to escape him before the net closed on them. 1. Stealing the truck for Dex, Troy has a ton of questions - to Dex' s frustration - like he had to report to someone. 2. Troy suggests a police style sting in that same mission, to which Dex acknowledges that is something the cops try all the time. 3. Not Dex: but Troy rattles off "they never taught us to hotwire" in the truck mission. 4. Blowing the hole in the side of the evidence locker instead of taking the station by force. I'm sure there are other references alluding to the fact... but I thought those were neat.
life 4 years late but another huge hint to the fact troy (or someone) was a cop is that the manual for sr1 was a police manifesto filled with info and taped in pictures like it was a report being put together
Troy was my favourite Character in SR1 I wasn't even mad when I saw that he was a snitch, he still did great things for the saints and was as loyal to them as his possibilities allowed him to. In SR2 he, as the chief of police helped them out A LOT with the power he gained from his undercover mission joining the saints. Even as the literal. Chief. Of. Police. He still was loyal and never forgot the time he had being with the saints and the playa. God bless you, Troy.
In SR Gat out of Hell Legal Lee, who opened an office in Hell, is working in a small way to have Troy's sentence in Hell reduced (he betrayed the Saints for his loyalty to the police and then betrayed the polis for his loyalty to the Saints). That form is shown in the Torment Fraud minigame where Troy is the middle level.
I always thought that Troy would eventually come to see the Saints, as the lesser of the evils in Stillwater. Sure the Saints are a violent street gang, but they don't do any of the fucked up shit that the Sons of Samedi do. They're not a bunch of tattooed maniacs like the Brotherhood, and they're not like the Ronin. Maybe Troy would start to understand the having one gang keeping order on the streets, is better than four gangs killing each other. I used to think of him as a rat, but after I unlocked him as a homie in the second game. He started to grow on me, judging by the lines he says while fighting alongside the protagonist. It's pretty obvious that Troy is still a Saint at heart, he's a Saint with a badge. Having a Saint as the Chief of Police, can be very useful. It's also obvious that Troy has some regrets about betraying the Saints. He's the one who wanted to end things peacefully. It was Julius who thought using a bomb was the best solution. In my opinion, Julius and Dex are the real traitors. It's sad the way Volition just let a character with so much potential go to waste.
For me I don't think Troy betrayed the saints because even though he was under cover he still wanted to the saints without arresting them not only that but he is the main reason why the boss stayed alive. He kept the boss alive while he was in a coma
I should've known from the start that Troy was a police officer 🚓🚨 his mannerisms for one and when dex mentioned blowing up the police station Troy was completely against it

Troy is the legit the most important person in saints row history. Without him, you would be dead in saints row 2.
