  • Replacing low side AC hose assembly in my 2015 Silverado 1500. I will go over basic steps and what tools you will need. This is an easy install, but if you are not comfortable with this repair take it to a shop. (NOTE: You may get seriously injured if you don't know what you're doing. Performing this install is at you're own risk). Here are the items used in this video:

Aloha! I bumped into your channel because I currently have a 2018 Silverado 1500 that I may need to replace my AC valves/hoses but I'm a bit lost because looking at the diagrams & parts I can't make up if the assembly is just all one piece where it looks like it has the high & low pressure hoses combined & then there's some that the hoses appear as individual piece so I was wondering if you had any knowledge on what hoses I would need to replace if I was needing to replace ALL of the AC system related ones?
The main reason is I appear to have a small leak somewhere in my AC system but doesn't look to be from the condenser so to be safe I want to replace all the hoses, seals, etc. pull a vacuum to get all the current freon/oil out and then refill it with the appropriate amount but I'm stuck on what hoses/assembly parts I'll need to do this so any tips or info would be greatly appreciated!

Aloha Erik! So your best bet is to go into a Napa Autoparts store or the dealership to ask for the part numbers you need for both high and low hoses. I’ve done this many time time so there’s no confusion as to what parts I need. You can also put dye in the system to pin point the leak before spending money on parts you didn’t need to buy… Keep me posted on what route you decided to take! 🤙🏼

@@hawaiianbrokechanic Not sure why I didn't think of that haha but that's actually a pretty good idea just so that I get the exact parts I'll need IF I do need to replace the assembly & I think doing a dye test should be simple enough so I'll give that a crack too. Appreciate the advice friend!!

@@erikvasquez9997 I was just like you when i was trying to find where my leak was… in the end I ended up replacing almost the entire AC system except the blower and high side hose 🤣
