That was cool to see how they reman air conditioning hoses. But I was wondering about how to do it myself. I can obviously use a hose clamp or two. But what kind of hose?
It needs to be an ac barrier hose. 134a is such a small molecule that it leaks right through the walls of standard rubber hoses. It'll leak out within a year just through the walls of the hose. Heck, it even leaks out through the barrier hoses as well but it takes 3 years for that. :D

Anyone ever tried compression fittings?? I can't get the flanges to come apart so I'm gonna wind up replacing everything and I'm considering a temporary repair or deleting the rear section.
Never ever use a factory grooved fitting without a captured sleeve! That hose you made can blow off! You must weld a new barbed fitting onto the ends of you expect it to stay.
Hi, great video man, I'm trying to reconnect my hose under my AC high pressure valve, cause it somehow got diaconnected, & leaked out frion I believe. So now my cars only blowing out warmer air! I found the end of the hose that connects under the high pressure valve just chilln on the side, & believe thats the reason that my AC is no longer blowing cold air, cause I had recently had a new AC Compressor put in. And I gave my girl a ride to work, & when I was idling at the parking lot, it all of a sudden, made a pop sound, & hissing sound, and then started only blowing warm air now. Plus, I noticed the leaked frion under the area where the hose seems disconnected. At first, I wasnt sure if that hose should be connected to it, but after watching a few videos on youtube, think that its the correct hose, & its not to far from the fitting under the high pressure valve on my Kia Forte EX. How is the best way to reconnect this hose, where its sort of hard for me to get my hands in there, so to speak, & im new at this, but cannot afford to pay to get this fixed, & live in Arizona, thanks man 👍🙏😎🚗
@@johnhenry3820 its literally cheaper to refill the system in shop. With vacuum tests. For 40€. Rather than buying "diy" Kit foe 60€. I have been working enought long with cars.
RAC said the hose will cost me $475 thats not including labour......they supposed to have fixed my air con but after $1800 its not working......so dam angry
Clickbait!!! Complete waste of time. Your title implies this is a simple DIY. Why the fuq would anyone want to know how to replace a hose with a crimper that's so much more expensive than the hose itself?
Damn...this man makes spare parts like a barista makes your morning coffee.
I was laughed at and told this can’t be done. I bet that one is better than from the factory
👍
Super professional job ... witch most if not almost all shops can't do it.
They rather sell you a $150.00 ac line.
This is a real repair! 👍

Even just flaring the tube would be better than nothing
What do you mean? He put a new ferrule sleeve and crimped it. Why do you need a new barbed fitting welded on? What wrong with the old grooved fitting?
You don't understand nothing
Amazing
Sir, I also work as a car AC in Bangladesh
Is Texas or pretty any other part of the USA we just get a new hose
You are enough rich to pollut the earth and we are try to save our planet by re-use it
