Wellcome your in-laws to Singapore.Best wishes n good luck to them.Hope you both can bring them to a less popular spot in this country. My suggestion is the Raffles Marina at Tuas. There is marina cafe n restaurant over there. The marina is close to our neighbouring country,Malaysia.Go there during sunset time, you will be able to see the golden glow over Johore Forest City.Have a good time there,I’m sure your in-laws will like this. Thanks for sharing.

Lovely video! When I dream about a destination I visualise it, I see myself there, I feel the place, I see what I am wearing, I experience it and within days an opportunity opens (a promotion, a business offer, an invitation form a friend etc.) and I go there for real.

The best satay is from Chuan Kee Seafood in Lower Delta Industrial Park
1091 Lower Delta. Order the chicken satay. Extremely tender, very moist and very very well marinated. No competitors can come close. 0.70cts per stick. You can try their live fish, crabs and lobsters. Better value for money.

    • @SingaporeExpat

This is wonderful. I'm glad that your in-laws are here. What's even better is that in about 2 weeks will be the Lunar New Year (Chinese New Year) on 1st February.
You should bring them to Chinatown to see the lights along New Bridge Road/Eu Tong Sen Street (parallel roads), there's a giant Tiger lighted up. Take the subway, it's better and more convenient.

@@SingaporeExpat Give them a more authentic local feel not just the tourist traps. How about a visit to Tiong Bahru, or a neighbourhood town like Toa Payoh, Ang Mo Kio or Tampines (you will see the common feature is such that amenities (public pools, libraries etc) and accommodation are designed with the MRT and hawker next to each other as the "center"). Try the local coffee and kaya toast. Changi Village or Pulau Ubin for the old world charm. Then to wrap it up, throw in a visit to the quintessential shopping belt that rep each country (you have the Champs Elysee in France, Oxford St in the UK) and in S'pore the oh-so-boring Orchard Road for the foreigners where almost every shop in could find there can be found in the neighbourhood mall (ie, nothing special abt Orchard rd). Lol...
