    That blown waterfall in particular is out of this world. I was imagining just such a shot after the video footage and exclaimed when the photo appeared. Fantastic mood you've set here. It truly is halfway between Iceland and Scotland. It shows. :)

    Enjoyed that a lot. There did look to be a slight sphincter clenching moment down by the waves 🙂. I out there next spring and very much looking forward to it.

    • @SeanBagshaw
      @SeanBagshaw  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      We previewed that spot for quite a while before going out there. The point was blocking the waves from coming up onto that last tier of rock so it was actually safer than it looks.

    Great video and outstanding shots. Hadn't realised just how amazing the Faroes were until I watch Gavin Hardcastle and Adam Gibbs videos and your shots captured its majesty! By the way you were very funny in that recent Gavin H video recently. Now subscribed to yours and looking forward to more.

    • @SeanBagshaw
      @SeanBagshaw  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks Paul! Welcome to the channel. The Faroes are wonderful. We just scratched the surface really. Unfortunately they are struggling to figure out how to handle visitors now. When we were there it was still pretty quiet but I think it has gotten a lot busier in the last couple years. Glad you enjoyed Gavin’s last video. It was fun to goof around with him on that. He and I are trying to find a time to meet up and do some more in the coming months. 😁

    Holy cow didnt think id ever say it but on a scale of 1 to epic i think Lafoten has been knocked off the top spot. That place (Faroe) is certainly getting a lot of attention in the community the past few weeks. Great video, wicked images.

    This reminded me of the Isle of Berk in "How to Tame Your Dragon." I was hoping the drone would fly through that arch out in the ocean the way Toothless and Hiccup did. Really enjoyed the footage and the images. You make every place look good.

    • @SeanBagshaw
      @SeanBagshaw  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      It totally reminded me of that too, Tony! I thought about flying the drone through the arch...but the wind out past the point was ripping. I was pretty sure if I attempted it I would be saying adios to it.

    Excellent video! I must say I had a different picture in mind about April in Faroe Islands but from your video the weather doesn’t look all that bad! Probably the only downside is the daylight hours?

    • @SeanBagshaw
      @SeanBagshaw  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks! I thought the weather was perfect. Very moody and stormy...but not too cold or too much rain. Sunrise was at 5:30 am and sunset was 9:15 pm in April...similar to Oregon in June.

    Hi Sean, thanks for your sharing of these stunning pictures and video. I would like to know what drone you are using? I'm planning a trip to Faroe too but I'm not sure what type of drone will be fitted to the climate over there, and besides, are there any regulations for drones in Faroe, do I need to apply for a permit before flying the drone?
    Thank you very much!

    • @SeanBagshaw
      @SeanBagshaw  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      黄章颖 I took a DJI Mavic Pro. It did great there but I was careful about flying it when the winds were strong. Regulations there aren’t too restrictive. Permit isn’t needed for a personal drone but flying near an airport requires calling for clearance.

    Hi Sean, impressive footage! Lovely unkonwn location finally image I have never seen before on any social media :)
    I am wondering, does the red f-stop bag ( I presume it is Tilopa) meet the limit for the overhead compartment?

    • @SeanBagshaw
      @SeanBagshaw  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I believe that the Tilopa technically is within the size regulations. Josh was using one of the larger bags and he always gets it into the overhead as well. He flies with it many times each year.

      I'll assume if the back pack did not meet carry on restrictions the ICU, once removed would. I recently purchased the shinn but have not flown with it yet.

    Beautiful place. What time of the year did you visit this place? How do you get there and how do you accommodate to stay there for few days? I'm located in U.S.A.

    • @SeanBagshaw
      @SeanBagshaw  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi George. We went there in April which is not when most people go. The islands get the most visitors in the summer months...but that's one of the reasons we went in April. Coming from the US you need to fly to Iceland and then take a one hour flight from there to the Faroes. In April there were just two flights per week, but they may add more flights in the summer. There are some hotels in the main city, Torshavn and there are some B&B type places scattered around other villages. We rented cottages through Air BnB because we could get them in villages close to where we wanted to shoot that didn't have other lodgings available.

      Not sure yet. I certainly have plenty of images from the trip that were fun to develop, so maybe. I have a few other video projects on my list before I'll be ready to do another Complete Workflow course. I'm sure some of my Faroe Island images will make appearances in some of those videos though.
