@@MadsPeterIversen hehe wrote that about 3/4 of the way through the video and then came to your end dialogue. *facepalm* still some Tuesdays are better than none...
A super big shout out to Sophie for adding the human element to the images and giving these landscapes such life...all the extra steps she has taken to give us the scale of Mother Nature... and Mads you answered a question about workshops I ask about in another video just a few minutes ago by subscribing to your newsletter..DONE,! Enjoy life until we see the next video!
Another great video. I too am visiting the Faroe Island in the Summer to do some photography because of your Landscape Photography Guides. Thanks so much!
Mads you did it again! Another inspiring video. Because of your videos I am heading to Iceland in June, I guess the Faroe Island might be the next stop. Thanks for sharing.
Hi Mads. No-one does TH-cam photography guides better than you - another superb video ! Love the images in this vlog - definitely worth the hike to get a better viewpoint. The Faroe Islands really looks like a location where the weather can make or break your visit so I'm glad you had some decent weather on this occasion. Really enjoyed the video Mads. Many thanks for sharing.
Great to see you back! So chilled out and inspirational! You don't talk technique in a way to make folk feel small, you do it in a way that inspires! Epic!!! P.s glad you edited those light out around the horse!
@@MadsPeterIversen loved the intronsection. So well composed. I found a wee stream going into the sea today on Shetland before heading for boat home and imagined I was in the faroes. Pathetic, right?
Mads very good images and video. I think I must go out the the Faroe Islands. Do stunning views and landscape. It's your video's of them to give my the wish go ho there.
I think you are one of the main reasons the Faroe Islands are becoming the next Iceland Mads, your videos are so useful for photographers. I live in Edinburgh so will be flying direct to the islands once I can drive a rental car!
Fantastic to have you back! I love your Faroe Island videos and it's still up there on the number 1 list of bucket list locations for me to photograph. Really enjoyed this episode and looking forward to more.
Fantastic video Mads. I watched the video before seeing your image posted on Instagram, during the video I was blown away with all images but one in particular with Sophie centred, shadowed like a silhouette in the bottom third of the frame. Looks like you favourited that one too from the caption. Good luck with all the workshops. One day it would be a pleasure to join in with one. All the best for Christmas.
Any day you release a vlog is a good day Mads and great coming home from work tonight to a new release. As always you tell the story beautifully and the images always capture the imagination
Mads! Your videos have really helped me and especially, when you replied to my emails, I was honored and grateful for all the tips and tricks! Now you're making me want to visit the Faroe Islands! :) I still owe you a beer!
in the middle of the summer and look at you :) the intro made me laugh hard but wonderful location for shure. like your videos and will still be a subscriber even if you are using Sony cameras now ;) with your skills (as a photogrspher and as a photoshop user) you will get away with awesome imagery anyway :) your location tipps are incredibly helpful, too.
Hi. Really great job at these videos! Some wonderful moody photographs in them. I am glad you didn't "add" clouds btw! I think sometimes they end up being a distraction to me as I am making photographs. The drama they add, because of the overwhelming mood, might distract me from thinking of alternative compositions without them. Anyway, it's a thought to ponder for all of us. Now, I am thinking of visiting the Faroes this May. What should I expect in terms of conditions if u know? Thanks a lot for these videos again! They are full of valuable information on the place.
I've been enjoying your videos and your amazing production work. Looking forward to the upcoming video on your gear, but I'm wondering if you could give us a preview of one item... I'm busy packing for my first trip to Iceland -- leaving the US on 12/8 -- and would love to know which backpack you prefer for carrying your gear. I know it's a Lowepro; I just can't tell which one.
The Faroes look fabulous, but sadly they’re not on the itinerary or our family visit to Scotland and Wales in 2019. For island hopping I’ll have to make do with a day trip to Mull and Iona. Keep your excellent videos coming, Mads. 👍👍
Great vidao again Mads.....unfortunately i was not able to meet you in Iceland a few weeks ago. My next stop is The Lake district in january with Nigel and thereafter i will go to the Faroes but did not plan it yet. Your video's are a massive help and inspiration to get there. Unfortunately i did miss out on the workshop you run there with Nigel, come back to me when there is a spot open. Hope to meet you somewhere some day. There is no image from you that i do not like, you are a great photographer (and a nice genuine / authentic person wich is the most important). You deserve more subscribers, i don't understand why you only have 22k. Your video's are the best.
Thank you very much, Ben! Such sweet words :) Yes, it was very unfortunate you had to cancel the workshop. Hope you get another chance one day. You're also welcome in regard to the information :)
The sculpture itself doesn't thrill me, but your photos were superb! Also liked the ones with Sophie above the water (I see that she is the brave one).
Love that your back. We went in June, what an adventure. I'd love to go back, since weather didn't work on some days. The fog when clearing can be amazing. The wind in a couple locations limited when I stood. The leading lines didn't justify the potential death lol.
Hi Mads -- love your videos and the thoughtful, quality b-roll as well. Question: What time of year is best to visit the Faroes with snow sprinkled on the landscape? Perhaps March? February?
Thanks Luigi. I can't get nearer than winter half of the year. The weather simply changes too much. Obviously January should have the best chance for that.
How difficult is the hiking to photo spots and how dangerous? Would love to go but have sciatica affecting my abdomen. Probably never be better but want to push through the discomfort to photograph epic landscapes. Would you describe it as Beginner, moderate or difficult in regards to hiking required? Finally could you give me some ideas of other destinations that would be suitable in light of the medical issue?
I'm so glad! You're back on TH-cam with a new video from the Faroe Islands! Dream pictures! The horse on the lake, the mountains... You really know how to take and make good ones! I admire your work. I'm learning a lot with you, I just have to put it into practice... Is Argentina (Patagonia or northern Argentina) on your list of places to visit? Merry Christmas Mads! Good vibes!
Merry Christmas and thank you very much for all the sweet words! :) Yes, Patagonia is indeed on my list just not very high up compared to other places. Merry Christmas!

I'm just a casual photographer but your TH-cam videos are one of the reasons why I'm going to the Faroe Islands in August.
Definitely on my 'visit' list, for the birding too not just the landscapes. Thanks for the excellent vids.
The term Epic was invented for your videos. Awesome work.
Haha thank you! That's a compliment I like ;)

Wow Sophie, mind your footing !!
Nice Mads, especially the shots with Sophie in the image.
