The people sleeping on this really don't know how hard this chart is. For this guy to play this so well, while also being someone who plays multiple instruments and most likely (sorry if I'm assuming) hasn't been a part of an HBCU style band program, is crazy. Keep it up man!

@@louisarthur2425 Oh I think I wasn’t clear. My fault! I didn’t mean to say that HBCU programs don’t condone learning multiple instruments. I was just saying that it’s amazing that he DOES play multiple instruments (very well) and that he also is getting a *nearly* authentic HBCU sound while being someone that may not have come from an HBCU program. Sorry for the mix up!

That's because it was from a marching band in a trombone battle across a stadium. It was meant to be overpoweringly loud, and aggressive, while showing a huge amount technical skill which is difficult to do playing that loud. It also helps they had a really big group playing their hearts out. This on the other hand is meant to be clean and precise. It feels more like what a jazz band would play.
I find it funny that the saying "don't encourage the trombones" is very common but these two masterpieces is the result of encouraging the trombones.

Always love videos of one musician playing all the parts in one song😊
*Kudos for a very respectable performance here. Keep at it!*
If I can make an observation: the “cleanliness” of the notes’ sounds reminds me of someone who isn’t familiar with country or rap songs who sings the lyrics enunciating the “-ing” at the end of words. There’s a formal vibe to the music. The fluidity of Bilal’s performance is the difference between the talent of getting the notes of this song to the beat, and the magic of giving a trombone a voice.
That being said, great job in both your performance AND pro-level audio/video editing👍🏾🙂

Much love friends. I wanted to tell you that The Father in Heaven’s Name is not “the LORD” it is YAHUAH (YA-WHO-AH) The Son’s Name is NOT “jesus” it is YAHUSHA (YA-WHO-SHA).
We must repent of our sins (sin is transgression of The Law Of YAHUAH The Father in Heaven. The Law YAHUAH The Father Gave through Moses).
We must repent of our sins and Have Belief On YAHUSHA The Messiah. HE Died and Rose three days later so that we can be forgiven of our sins!
Let’s all run to HIM today while we still can. Much love to you all my friends.

You can’t learn soul! Soul is something we’re born with as black people. You sound good it just sounds caucaised. PROUD OF MY PEOPLE!!!!! We can’t be copied we can’t be duplicated.

Everyone is born with soul, not just black people. This has nothing to do with race, or anything that is discriminatory (not saying your being that) it’s just that William put more heart into it than this guy. He did really good. He just needs more time to get a feeling with it. No one can be copied no one can be duplicated.

Your offering shows you've REALLY studied William Bilal and Benedict College 2021. Please don't take my comments the wrong way when you read my comment, but I hope this helps. It's like a person who knows the words to Psalm 23. They RECITE the words PERFECTLY. A person who has been through life and sometimes has had only God to depend... their inflection and depth of delivery will be different and will make the words PERSONAL, "The Lord is MY shepard,, I shall not want." You know ALL the notes, but we don't hear what they mean to you. That's what makes William Bilal's version so distinctly different...he makes the listener feel what HE feels and it brings many people to tears (me included). Make your music sing your soul sweetie. Go to a quiet place in nature and play where only you and God can hear you. God bless.

This is an awesome cover, but William puts a slightly different rhythm to it that just makes the trombone come to life. A great version nonetheless.

What editor do you use to put your videos together?

    • @tromboniusmusic
      @tromboniusmusic  2 ปีที่แล้ว +5

I use an app called PicPlayPost to make the split screen stuff and then I edit the various split screen segments together in iMovie. Pretty basic as far as editors go but it gets the job done.

This white dude and William Bilal is like charlie wilson and scotty mcgrewer.. i think mcgrewer is his last name but its two different worlds with the same type of soul.... Point blank they both fucked that shit up and did they thang!!! I like both versions!!! Feeling has no vision no limits no boundaries no nothing! Wether u this color that color rich poor here or there doesn't matter... Its just about who u are and if you true to self!!!.

The crazy thing is that Bilal just ripped it out random at a fucking game lol. Amazing cover and all but the original was just nasty...Like I didn;t have any interest in horn music and it made me look up some obscure shit and chill out with some salad. Cheers my dude.

How to use multiple tracks more than likely redid it until he produced the sound that he thought what's better than the black dudes and still sounds corny there's no soul in it at all what made Bilal Williams version so magical what is the fact that even if they did rehearse it the end result was live in front of people instead of trying to outdo black people why don't you find your own style because this literally sounds like a cover of Bilal Williams super duper corny bro some imitation might be flattery but when it has no personal spunk to it it's swagger jacking

the only critique is he was counting really loud (thinking about timing). need more soul to drop on the ending notes which is very hard trying to keep up with other clips. Applaud
