Acrylic Painting Tutorial - Crystal Ocean Water

- This has been requested so many times, so finally, here is my acrylic painting tutorial of transparent ocean water! Even though I'm not a fan of painting water with acrylics and tend to prefer painting water with oil paints, I had a really great time with this piece and love how this turned out. I'm hoping this videos shows people how to paint water with acrylic paints in a way thats achievable with acrylics properties. We focus a lot on how to blend acrylic paints, which is not easy, but definitely achievable!
This tutorial is definitely a more intermediate to advance painting BUT If you are a beginner who wants to try this tutorial, try it anyway! I also have lots of Beginner painting tutorials on my channel if you are looking for something a little easier to start out with.

Your colors are amazing and you really walk us through the steps. The highlights are the tips on blending because that can be a big hang-up with acrylics. Fantastic artwork and tutorial! 💙

I can't mix the colors, like if i want to add shadows i make them too dark or too light and if i use all my mixed color i just can't remember how i made it😂

I almost cried because the other intermediate painting with the sunset and water was so tough when I was tackling it. The paint dried so quickly and left me near tears. And now this trickier and more beautifulone? I'd ascend if I could ever pull this off❤

What i love the most about acrylics is how fast they dry, but its very tricky to blend them, i try to keep them wet on the canvas when i want to blend them and sometimes even after they dry reactivate them with water and they blend just fine. I did my first beach oil painting watching one of your tutorials and it turned out sooo good. I have followed your videos since then. I havent painted in a few months because i started making tiktoks of my art and it was exhausting, i really admire how you can make videos and at the same time make such beautiful paintings, recording and editing can be overwhelming. I wish you the very best you are a great teacher.

Always a joy to watch and listen.
Sadly I could never get into acrylic, dries way too fast and once dry, no chance of blending.
So I stick to my Designers Gouache, on my paintings of winter scenes from vintage Christmas cards and postcards from early 1900s to the 1950s era.
Strangely, nearly all I have sold have ended up in America..I live in England.
