Hearing Jhonen's opinion about convention panels around 1:05:00 is exactly why I brought my little dog with me when I managed to meet him 3 times at autograph panels that were announced last minute on Facebook. I hand sewn a GIR hoodie for her just for fun and thought of surprising Jhonen. His face lit up when he saw her and asked me nicely if he could hold her because he loves animals.🥰
it's weird that you're telling this story on EVERY video of Jhonen that exists. Like, congratulations but it seems like that might be the only thing that has ever happened in your life.
It made me happy just to share the story because it makes me warm and fuzzy to remember Jhonen's overall reaction to such a kind gesture he did not expect. Besides, he's not the only creator who actually saw my dog's hoodies.
Jhonen is super inspirational to me as Iv gotta older. I admire how he views art and what makes him passionate in what he writes/draws and only takes on projects he feels like being invested in. I also have some personality traits in common with being introverted and finding odd things funny. I hope by the time Im in my 40s I maintain the same general attitude I have right now like Jhonen has in his life
As a comic creator myself and hardcore Jhonen Vasquez fan since childhood who has been heavily influenced by his work its so cool now to have these long format interviews to listen too. It’s cool to see how much you might have in common and how relatable this person is. I think it’s almost therapeutic to listen to and just provides a lot of insight into his mind and creative process. Very helpful to people like myself. I feel so bad for him how he keeps getting screwed over on his projects.
I actually have one of the artbooks where the sheet with the adult mouth positions is upside down. At first, I wondered about that too, but I also thought that the editors probably would've noticed if they had accidentally placed one of the artworks upside down, so I just assumed that it just didn't fit otherwise with the format. Good to know I got a quite rare and unique print of the artbook that might become more valuable in the future 😂
Thank you Jhonen Vasquez and team, you guys brought the most amazing Nickelodeon show ever made. I loved it as a kid and I love it as an adult. It's awesome to hear about the making-of my favorite show.
I’m happy that we got the link, I missed the 1st 1/2 because I never used zoom before, and couldn’t for the life of me get it to work on my phone. Thank you for everyone that made this possible for all us fans to take part in this.
This is beyond awesome - thank you all so much for taking the time to set this up and man, JV is one of the best artists ever - not only for his influencing JTHM but his openness to rly give us insight into him and his work. That's what i love! Badass - thanks again i learned a tonload from this interview -
So, since JtHM never happened with HBO, hey Amazon! You guys like making really mature and often rather graphic shows based on comics, right? Well here's a good one for ya.
I watched this sometime ago and I didn't know he got some movie props I guess that's the perks of living in California but they're is a lot of cons to California like it's wwwaaaaaaayyyyyyy too expensive to live in California you have to be a millionaire to live there and there is some crazy and insane homeless people that might harass you or worse and not to mention some of the rules in California is a little too strict like how long you got to take the shower or bath or how long you can use the electricity in your house or deal with the other stuff so I'm glad to live in a state that offers a little more freedom and it's less expensive and a little less homeless people and my state gets off of there feet and I like to take long baths and have stable electricity but this was a great video though
I love how JTHM was so simple but also clearly an outlet for a young adult to rage about society. Great comedic relief.

@@handlesshouldntdefaulttonames honestly if it happened to me I would also be telling everyone I meet 😔
@@Hibisxus That's a little different than typing a different version of the same story on every video about Jhonen you can find.

2020 may be shit but it's also the year where we got confirmation Dib likes Two Trucks, so I guess I can't complain that much.
It’s 2022 🎉🎉🎉 yay

kinda boggles me that Jhonen is IN HIS 40s
I hope I can age that well holy crap
His body is stuck in time
He's a fuckin vampire I fuckin know it
he dont age a goddamn day
He's not just in his 40s, he's near 50! I hope I can keep that kind of spirit as I go through life.
@@SketchyCrush Drinking green tea everyday actually helps with aging gracefully

South Park and Star Wars is garbage compared to Invader Zim. This man deserves more money, plus a reboot on a different network.
Feels like he doesn’t want to do a reboot. I would rather see a new show from him
I can hear the Nny in him.
