    Thanks. Great if perfectly level and concrete. Wish my driveway was like that. What type of jack stands are being used? If not using scissor lift that comes with the vehicle shouldn't those pinch welds bend?

      You’re welcome. The link to the jackstands is in the video description. When you use a floor jack and lower the vehicle gently onto the jackstand, the pinch welds don’t bend.

    Excellent video!! I’ve been jacking up cars where the jack stands go 😅. Glad they were my cars. Have you had to change your drive shaft? I have a 2019 passport EX-L and that’s my current issue so I’m getting as much knowledge as possible. Just ordered the part, wish I could’ve found it cheaper but I’m definitely not paying $185/hr for labor.

      Thank you! No, I have never changed a driveshaft. I hope that goes well for you.

      @@PaulNaylor3 update: once I got thru obstacles of missing tools etc it was a breeze. I don’t know about other vehicles but I assume ‘19 and up Hondas may have this in common; every video I watched had regular bolts on the drive shaft, but they were older years up to like 2015. My 19 passport has 10mm bolts called spline bolts, my grandfather hadn’t even heard of them nor employees at O’Reily/ autozone and the only place that had them on hand was Harbor Freight. Once I got that the only other issue I had was having to get up and down to put the car in neutral. So if ever needed and it’s a 9 speed remember: break bolts loose first ( I could only do 3 on each end due to the tool clearance), get in the car and turn the engine on, put the car in neutral then press and hold neutral for 2 sec ( message will appear on dash) then turn the car off and you can get back under and spin the drive shaft to get to the other bolts. There’s a bracket that needs to be unbolted as well as bolts in the carrier bearing. Switch out the part ( have a small jack stand under there to hold up the front end of the shaft until you get the back and carrier bearing bolted in) and bolt it back up but put the driveshaft in a piston to easily access all the bolts. Turn the car back on to put it in park, then tighten your bolts all the way and that’s it. Apologies on the long message but your videos helped/ will help me and I just wanted to return some knowledge. Appreciate you!

      @@PaulNaylor3 anytime! I didn’t realize how long my car had been driving roughly, this problem started January last year and after getting an alignment and balance it went away 3 days later but started again this past March. Now my car is so smooth like I just bought it.

    Hi, Do you prefer a ramp or a jack stand?

    • @PaulNaylor3
      @PaulNaylor3  6 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      I always use jackstands because every time I do an oil change I also rotate my tires which requires the car to be on all four jackstands. If you weren’t rotating your tires the ramps would be easier and save you some time.

    What is the reason behind cv axle on my pilot left side keeps on leaking grease please
    2019 AWD

    • @PaulNaylor3
      @PaulNaylor3  14 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      Your CV boot may have a tear, allowing the grease to leak out. Without grease, the cv axle will wear out.

    Do you use after market parts sir

      I would normally stay with a Honda part and if I did use an aftermarket part would look for one with positive reviews.

    What would buy 2018 pilot or a 2018 Toyota Highlander???

    • @PaulNaylor3
      @PaulNaylor3  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Both are good vehicles. For the Highlander, avoid the base LE which has an underpowered 4-cylinder. The Highlander’s back seat is for kids only, whereas the Pilot has a larger 3rd row. The Highlander does not have Android Auto or Apple CarPlay, whereas the Pilot has both. The Highlander trim level XLE and the Pilot EX-L are great values.

    • @mannyfresh215
      @mannyfresh215 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @PaulNaylor3 yeah those two trim levels are exactly what I'm in the process of looking at. I know Toyota are very reliable but they have their issues as well. As for the Honda the one I'm looking to buy is the 18 EX-L. I just been on the fence because of the transmission issues, but I also heard that year is not a bad year for the pilot. So it's a tough decision lol
