I’ve been watching your videos for a while, I feel like I’ve been doing it for a while! Lol. Can’t wait to try painting my old Z28 with all your tips. Thanks for sharing!
Always set up your parts like they would sit on the car. Just in case you get a run you can run it to a spot you won't see. Or if you miss a spot it will be in a spot you won't see
Ford made a police Taurus in 2013 with a AWD system! It came with the mustangs 3.7 312hp! V6 also had a mustang dash bored classic style like the 2013 mustang dashboard, only had a more family vibe… but still pretty dominant! The 3.7 v6 can handle 500hp! And imagine on a all-wheel-drive platfrom! Ford wasn’t fucking around! They also had a awd eco boost but not my favorite i much rather turbo 3.7… Also! Dodge actually had a police one with a 5.7 hemi awd! But I am a ford guy not a dodge guy but dodge did do some big things! I also owned the Mazda speed 6 rate car! With a ford engine and turbo awd Mazda system! Do I go with a Mazda speed 6 and rebuy it? Or get the awd 3.7 police ford Taurus! I don’t know but both great cars the Taurus might be greater tho!
Hi bro Thanks for all these information And yea i just want to ask you which spray gun is good for metallic and silver paint i have a 1.3 spary gun is it good for silver colour?
Gabriel, do you normally wait until the 1st coat is hand slick before applying the second coat. I'm currently trying out the Debeer HS clear and the tds is kind of vague and tech support doesn't seem to know much. That clear says 5-10 min between coats. I've tried pretty much all flash times up until 10 min and keep getting die back. It seems to still be tacky at 10 min
So ruffly how many turns out or in is the fluid? At 31 psi for air, seems like a lot of overspray or material waste? In my garage, i have to spray clear at 20psi and color at 15psi, your take gabriel??
Yeah I would think you would have to turn it way down if you don't have a booth but you can loose on the smooth finish. Lower pressure more orange peel.
This guy knows his shit on spraying .been doing this for 36 years and still love all the tips you give .Doing my moterhome soon that's a big challenge but so doable.
Looks awesome Gabe. I am spraying EC530 in my garage, and it takes FOREVER to setup. I did some work recently with Ford RR. Everything looked fine after 3 mid coats and 1 final clear. I came back the next DAY to find some runs and sags that were not there even 1 hour after spraying. It was cold, but I used the ECR65. I picked up some of the SL93LV accelerator to give that a go. Do you have any experience with that product?
Like someone else said if you spray in a garage or need to use less pressure can you demonstrate what might be the difference? I think a lot of people like my self love your content but dont always spray in perfect conditions.
The difference will be the texture it is difficult to achieve a smooth finish without the right pressure so you need to get closer to the panel. Thanks for the kind words! I'll try
I very much appreciate Gabriel's demeanor, kindness, and work ethic. He's tops in my books on all fronts."The Gunman", a painter from Australia, gave him a shout out a couple years ago. You might want to check out his channel/vids too. He has done a lot of break-downs on what different pressures, guns, and fluid tips do with varying settings and configurations. Quite informative. But my devotion is to my fellow Canadian! Ha-ha-ha. Both guys have helped me a TON to get very nice finishes in my old back-yard garage setup.
@@RPMX4 I started following Motivated Painters when I heard about him from The GunMan. I love the way he also explains what he does. Its always good to get info from different people whenever you can. Plus I'm considering getting this Walcom clear gun and would like to know if it would work as good in my garage as it does as he always uses It.
From watching and listening to these great guys, I've learned to set up my gun by dialing it back and use a smaller tip. G-Man normally uses a 1.3 and TE-20 or HVLP tip on the Devilbiss Pro-lite. I use the 1.2 tip and TE-10 cap at a slightly lower pressure to use a bit less air and stop from moving so much dust. The finer (fog) pattern allows me to go slower and lay down the clears in a more controlled method and use a bit less air as I don't have the industrial compressors they have. Mine is just a single stage 60 gallon and keeps up with my pace. I know it can be scary, but do like they say and play around with the guns to get them dialed in for your shop and how you like to move. You'll get it and once you do - BAM!!! It's golden. I might look into the Walcom too. Gabe makes that gun sing like it's no one's business. A true master.
Watch plenty of these videos. I dnt think anyone ever mention’s the most important part of the technique The temperature in the booth. The temperature of the panel. And the harder you’re using. It all have the same luxuries and I doubt the machine’s from the manufacture are in here watching to correct mistakes.

Hey brother no I have never used the accelerator I would use ec520 if I where you it dries alot faster
Can you use the HTE Clear for base coat also.
Yes absolutely
How about reducer ratio?
I use ec 530 it's 3:1:1 play 10% extra reducer

Hi Gabe, brother iwata WS400 or new Genesi carbonio hti light?
Been loving my HTE clear 1.2!
Really good video friend... One question:is the 1.2 better than 1.3 for this gun? Has more control and less material?
Honestly both are freaking amazing
But I like the 1.2 for clear which is why I sell it on my site because you can lay a smoother finish

What Causes Orange peel
Bad gun. To low air pressure. Too thick material. Bad prep
