Electronic solder is actually a hollow wire that is filled with flux that when heated by the molten solder, helps clean the surfaces to be soldered together, and which appears to be most of the ‘corrosion’ seen when the board was turned over. This leftover flux is supposed to be inert under normal conditions (and the reason it is not often cleaned off after hand soldering operations), but over time it does absorb moisture and other contaminants, so cleaning it off is still a good idea. When I have several such leads to clean off, I will sometimes soak a small piece of cloth in isopropyl alcohol, lay it over the top of the connections to be cleaned, then use an old toothbrush to scrub the pins through the cloth.
One of the many things I love about your videos is the camera angles and the close ups, they look so crisp and clean! Also, absolutely love the new merch!

About the second retrobroghting: You could have used the same material you used to "glue" the bolts to the plastic to "hide" the electronics and instead of using hydrogen peroxide use a hair saloon gel containing h2o2. This could have preserved the electronics and save time :)
Love the content! Maybe for parts like the plug on the controller that can’t be submerged in a liquid agent you can try applying a peroxide cream such as Salon Care 40 to expedite the process. I use it on my sneakers along with UV light to whiten my soles since I can’t use the liquid mixture.
