I think it’s hysterical how Kody keeps accusing Christine of “shit talking” and he hasn’t stopped talking shit about her for a single minute through the whole season.
Right? She speaks truth and sometimes that makes him look bad, but hey, he acted badly. He has not stopped trash talking her and his children all season. Mostly, she finds a graceful way to respond to the questions, he just spits vitriol.

And he’s said that they presented as a couple so the kids must have thought they were a loving couple and by telling them it wasn’t true, she was trying to turn them against him. He must think they can’t sense tension, can’t read what HE wrote in their book about not being attracted to Christine, and that they don’t see the show. He’s the one who let them in on his disregard and disrespect of their mother.

Robyn is even more of a liar and backstabber than I originally thought. She is begging the OG3 to release her. She and kody released themselves when they removed their cladaugh rings and designed a ring that represents their MONOGAMOUS marriage and then Robyn kept it secret from Meri. Despicable.
And if you look carefully, you can see Robyn is now wearing a traditional woman's wedding ring in the tell-all episodes.
@@dawnduck4359I noticed that too. I wonder how long she’s had that traditional wedding ring with the diamond. I’d bet she’s had it for a while now and just didn’t wear it on camera. I don’t see Kody having been okay with her wearing the ring she got from the sister wives all these years. He always wants her set apart from them and to have nicer things than they did. I’m sure the ring they gave her is so beneath him because it wasn’t extravagant and flashy.
He was married to 3 others wives at the same time, they dumped him because of his abuse & indifference, they are not really monogamous. That's stupid!
Also, is Kody going to stick with the story of Meri chasing Robyn. I would bet most of what I have to say Kody did the chasing, and roped Meri into going along with the story. What are your thoughts? I believe Kody used Meri to do a lot of his bidding, so it would look like it was Meri’s idea. The weird thing is that he didn’t love Meri, but he knew she would do anything for him. She allowed herself to be used. So sad.
If you read their book, Meri gleefully writes about her pursuit of Robyn and also about keeping Robyn a secret from the other two wives. I know Meri’s fans don’t like to hear it but that’s definitely what she said.
Speaking on the point of Christine needing coaxing from David to open up when she is upset, I think it's important to remember she was raised in a culture where women were to "keep sweet" and in her marriage Kody only wanted her happy upbeat side. She wasn't ever allowed to express negative emotion in a safe place. So I don't think she is being passive aggressive, I think she is having to unlearn what she was taught her whole life.

Exactly. It’s really hard for her to realize that she’s safe to say something “negative” ie, just to have human feelings and not be happy about something. Just imagine what would happen when she expressed any discomfort around Kody? Invalidation, mocking, anger from him…she wasn’t permitted to have needs other than what he wanted.
She’s probably being passive aggressive some of the time. Her family weren’t super oppressive and militant. Her mom and dad encouraged her.
Being passive aggressive is a side effect that happens when you don’t learn how to express yourself, it doesn’t matter how tragic the reason why.

She has been in a marriage with someone who didn't care and probably would tell her she was being dramatic or silly if she actually expressed her feelings. When somebody doesn't care and won't respond to you in an accepting way, you don't express how you feel.

IKR! And when he ‘took care’ of Truely and she got so dehydrated, she nearly died - he was taking a nap(!) when Christine was driving to the hospital. He did that. It was his responsibility, and he wants people to feel bad for a grown ass man with a 99 degree temperature (does he realize some people actually died from Covid?!).
I think COVID broke his mind. He was terrified of getting it, and when he did he couldn’t sleep! He was in a panic! For being so religious he sure fears death more than most. I mean he lost his whole family over a cold or flu. Once the hospital’s got the right regime people quit dying. The treatment was killing them not the disease.
@@ALFeneFLAKody said once that he didn’t think Christine ever forgave him for Truly about dying. He was never there he probably was at Robyn’s. I will say Christine came home to a lethargic baby, and didn’t take her immediately to a ER. She went shopping for flowers for their stupid Family Mention. It was the next day Truly’s kidneys stopped. They are really lucky she lived that is serious, and usually not coming back.

I don’t think she’s intentionally being passive aggressive, it’s a trauma response from living with Kody for almost 30 years imo. Unfortunately, I do the same thing and I know it’s past abusive relationships. You learn that you cannot speak your mind without being attacked either verbally or even physically. We’ve literally watched Kody and even the other wives shut her down time and again. They all have been.
You can see where it took the wind out of her sails at first when he said "it's okay, you're mean like that," and she just stops smiling and deflates for a second. I know that sick pit of the stomach dropping feeling of "oh no what did I do now?" while in an emotionally unhealthy relationship and yeah, that laugh is giddy relief. She survived!!
Exactly. She is so happy she doesn't have to care or deal with him and his insanity. I had the same thing and he used to say I was so mean. I looked right in his face laughed and said, "I literally do not care what you say or think of me anymore". That deflated him so much and I was so happy. Because I literally didn't care anymore. I took that power right away from him.
Plus, he is legit the actual topic of/reason for her 'fame'. If the world is doing an autopsy on our horrific relationship, who knows what we would all do? It is all painful and awkward. Make it through however you have to.

Christine’s laugh at his “sadness.” Had the same vibe as Janelle laughing about the 6 pack abs. Kody spent years talking about how much he didn’t like Christine and now he’s sad? Sure dude. You lost that privilege, and it’s not her job to fix it for you.

Christine deserves to laugh. Think about it . . . fake "married" to this guy for over 20 years, had 6 kids with him, lived off assistance and food stamps because his sorry butt didn't take care of them, filed bankruptcy because of it. Then he gets "married" to wife number 4 while Christine is at home with a newborn. Was he even at Truly's birth? Then he tells Christine he never really loved her. And Kody is mad at Christine for laughing at him? He is such a tool and very fortunate that she just laughed at him. Moving on is the right thing to do in that situation. LOL
I get Christine laughing, sometimes Kody is SO dramatic! And he's really made her into such a scapegoat for all of his unhappiness and his other wives leaving.
I think Christine was so beaten down and mistreated by Kody for so many years that she is happy to be rid of the whole mess.

Christine is not passive-aggressive. She was in a relationship where she had to keep sweet. Kody already said that if anyone said something he didn't want to hear he would punch them in the mouth.
I do think that was mainly just a figure of speech on Kodys part. I don't think he was ever physically violent with his wife or kids. I do think he would withhold affection though, and manipulate the wives in different ways if they didnt behave how he wanted them to

My ex would ask what was wrong. If I made the mistake of telling him, he would use that information against me. E.g. he was flirting outrageously with another woman. If I admitted that I was upset about it, he would tell me something was wrong with me that needed to be fixed. Christine was taught by a narcissist to keep her gripes to herself or she would be punished. It takes a while of being ina healthy relationship to unlearn that defence mechanism.
If you look into their fundamentalist religion and read about women who have left polygamy, a lot of their behavior makes sense. It’s a patriarchal belief system and women are forced to keep sweet, have kids, and do what they can to keep in the husband’s favor. It’s a system that inevitably sparks jealousy and competition between wives and favoritism. It’s a system that often causes financial hardship. Seriously, it’s sad. Christine was raised in it. She’s only now truly waking up. I admit I’m way more willing to give her a pass for any missteps now than Kody.

I'm surprised as a therapist you would find Christine's "I'm fine" response as "passive aggressive" when I think she's presented it as an anxiety response that David is helping her work through by encouraging her not to be afraid to express what she's feeling.
Yes, I completely agree. She’s conditioned herself to ignore her sad and fearful feelings if they weren’t validated by her spouse. It’s not passive aggressive. (It would be if she said it while slamming cupboard doors or had an edgy tone to her voice, but there is no evidence of that so I assume she doesn’t do those things.)

Part of Christine’s giddiness is relief of being free of what Kody thinks or feels. And having new love later in life is an amazing feeling. She’s not faking or overreacting. She’s just happy. ❤

It’s a bit much. She’s over doing it. It’s very sus. And this episode made me feel no more comfortable with the Christine and David relationship. They both said things very concerning…
She’s already married to the first man she dated after Cody did not give it much time at all. This happens a lot when people leave toxic relationships and it never really ends. Well at least I’ve never seen it end well and I’ve been in a support group with people who left abusive relationship so I’ve had many many many opportunities to see how this works out, and every single time it worked out with them in a worse relationship than the first one.

And how that damage can cause you to be attracted to another narcissist easily. Narcissist are hard to spot because they don’t walk around announcing it. They play the good guy. The too-good-to-be-true character that everyone loves right away. I was raised by a narcissist and that lead me into a long term relationship with another even more narcissistic person.
I agree with your wife. By the time I divorced my husband after 14 years, I no longer hated/loved him. I was utterly apathetic. I think that is where Christine is. She’s laughing because he never loved her, but wants to play the victim. She just thinks it’s funny to pretend that his accusations and playing the victim are serious.

I agree with your wife. Once you push a person to the point where they are truly DONE. Nothing he does will bother her because she just doesn’t care. She needs one thing from Kody, for him to be a father to his kids. That’s it!

I also don't think Christine's behaviour is passive aggressive. She was never allowed to express her emotions because she was caring for Kody's. She's used to saying that nothing is wrong because it's never been safe to do so and no one ever cared. She also was never allowed to feel or express a deep love. She's experiencing this for the first time like a giddy teenager. Most people get to experience that many times in their life and mature in their relationship expression. She's at the beginning stages of experiencing this

OMG this is so true i am currently married to a milder Kody and now I have no romantic feelings for him and nothing he does anymore phases me be it love bombing or discarding and that’s because in 11 years of marriage I have been mourning and grieving what I know is not sustainable but kept hoping a miracle will happen but now I know that miracle is not possible and I am just doting my i’s and crossing my t’s and am out.
How does Kody not see that Christine doesn’t have to say a word to her kids. They can see it all on TV, not to mention the things they saw in their lives with him and how he has treated their mom. This doesn’t even take into account how he has treated them. Most of these kids are adults and can make their own decisions.
I think Christine's wedding special is going to be revealing, based on the sneak peek they gave us. Who but Christine or Janelle could pull all those adult kids together? In the clips, they look like they were having an awesome time. They spent so many years with Robyn's drama & Kody's anger & neglect, they can now just whoop it up!

Yep! I also think it is less that they know what he has done & more that they agree with & support her that infuriates him. He thinks she deserves how her treats her. He expects them to take his side no matter what. He wants & expects all of his kids to see that he was always right in every situation with them & their moms and then come to him & apologize. It's delusional, but that is what he is holding out for.
Kody dictating to Suki what Christine will do "if she really loves David" is attempted manipulation and the dying gasps of a narcissist who is grabbing at straws looking for any remaining sliver of control. If he can maneuver Christine's behavior, he gets the two-fold benefit of her publicly letting him off the hook and a has final success in controlling her. Waaaahhh, poor Kody. 😂 Get him, Christine!

@@brite1217 Well he has been a single dad to 8 kids for 10 years before he met Christine, his wife died of cancer. He said he has dated, but not anything serious or had a relationship. You are right, we don't know, especially not regarding how involved he was emotionally etc... But being alone with 8 kids - that part on it's own seems really hard and an accomplishment by itself. It's unlikely you are able to pass on taking care of that many children for that many years to other parties such grandparents etc... He would also still be the one to financially support them.

Why does Kody go on and on about Christine trash talking him to their kids when all he does is trash talk her to everyone?! Then he says over and over that he was never in love with her. He was never attracted to her. He trash talks her to everyone. He’s so not over her. He talks about her all the time. Does he think his kids didn’t notice how he treated their mom? PLUS, his kids have a bad relationship with him because he treated his kids badly.
Kody's children will always doubt his love for them because he is saying now that he never loved Christine.
Every child wants to know they were born out of love. Him saying he never loved their mum must be devastating. It also makes sense why he has no emotions towards his children.
Not just Christine, he says he didn't really love ANY of the OG 3, that he just "told them" that he loved them without meaning it. And that he "didn't know what love is" until he met Robyn, to the point where he "cried for a month in joy."
It's clearly revisionist history, though parts of it ring true (in season one there's a story about how he was crying after meeting Robyn and was told that he was "lovesick" and that "the only cure is a marriage," so I do believe that's how he acted when he met Robyn.)

I actually think you’re both right. Yes, Christine is completely over Kody…when she made her mind up, there was no going back. However, I definitely think she enjoys seeing him obsess over her the way she obsessed over him for all those years. Those two feelings aren’t mutually exclusive.
When you are finally free of a ex husband you feel like you can fly. Everyone has their own time table for that feeling but WOW it is great. So hsppy for her.

Lol at David reading Christine like a man!! When a woman is *this* done there is nothing left. Don't forget she wasn't sure how her family (or the public) would treat her if she left. She bravely left without knowing that she would become a hero, she thought that she could be shunned. I think that is why Meri didn't leave until she saw life could be good after leaving.
I think Christine had the support of her family, she commented when she told her dad that she wanted to come back to Utah he said come on home. This helps in leaving the cult she was in that she wouldn’t experience the 15 year shunning her mother received. In a side note Meri didn’t appear to have this support, but with her mother’s passing, no one in the Brown Klan for support found out that she was alone anyhow. In Kodys ignorance he went to Janelle’s mothers funeral,but not Meri’s.That for me would have been soul crushing. Bonnie was a large part of the family in the financially strapped years.

Covid can be very painful. Especially if you were not vaccinated when you got it. My son's stepdaughter wasn't vaccinated because her father is an AH and wouldn't allow it and her mother didn't push it.
When she got covid she was in terrible pain and my son is the parent who works from home, so guess who was taking care of her, taking her to urgent care and the hospital ED? She didn't need oxygen or fluids, but she was in terrible pain.

I’m not vaccinated and got it and people that had the vaccine was just as sick as I was and I know vaccinated people that was way more sick then I was.
So no unvaccinated was not more sick when they got Covid.
For me a vaccine would prevent to GET the disease.
COVID can be painful but Kody acts like he was the 1st person EVER to get COVID and didn't show any sympathy for his kids or wives who got it before him.

Christine said in one of the episodes that anytime Kody got sick he was a big baby and always thought that he was deathly ill. No doubt he felt bad while he had Covid but dying? Not hardly.
I was in a marriage where if I made the mistake of telling my husband, what was bothering me, I got yelled at. It can be jarring to have someone ask you “what is a matter or what are you thinking about?” Only to have that person yell at you because They don’t like what you’re thinking about.
Sometimes biting your tongue is a defense mechanism, not being passive aggressive.
I still have problems telling people what is on my mind. The thought goes through my mind is this even worth bringing up? So often I swallow it and pretend like nothings going on.

Cruella was made to be friendly and told she had to be nice if she wanted to be loved. Kody certainly told Christine, Meri, and Janelle that they had to earn his love and that they weren't enough when the were being themselves.

I think Christine is a bit more like Alison’s view on this one … she is so done and because she has moved on and found David has really helped Christine to truly move on emotionally

I believe the no drama comment was important for David because his first wife died due to suicide and she was deeply depressed leaving the family to deal with the aftermath ...the drama I think David is referring to is emotional...Christine is fun and easy to be with...

I think Kody's misery and anger are probably validating, and that is why Christine enjoys it. It proves that she was not the problem. He was impossible to please. She doesnt want to inflict pain and run him over but it is pleasing to her to see him in pain.

His example that he’s fallen down and she laughed was not an egregious example. A lot of people have the reaction to laugh first and then check on the person. Heck TV shows have been very successful just about people falling or getting hurt and finding it funny. Think America’s Funniest Home Videos, Jackass or Ridiculousness.

Christine is a 100 percent over Kody and Kody knows it and recognizes the danger of it. That’s why he’s trying so hard to manipulate Christine into not ‘trash talking’ any more. He’s scared of the truths Christine may tell.
When women split up with their mate, they thought about it for a loooong time, and then when they finally act on it, they might look like they are unfazed by it. It is because they did the emotional work for a long time already. Whereas the man is often caught "by surprise" because they did not listen nor pay attention.

I'm curious about how the property situation will unfold. Robyn seemed super protective of her 4 acres and totally not on board with helping Meri get a piece of Christine’s land. Robyn ended up with a massive 1.8 million dollar mansion and the biggest chunk of land without any contribution. On top of that, she still demands off-camera blessings from the OG3. It’s seriously frustrating!
PLUS a nanny! (???) It's thoroughly nuts. But Christine is the **** sister wife?.. lived in the basement, no money, worked nights, watched all the kids...
I’m so tired of Kody blaming Janel and Christine for their talking bad about him influencing the kids’ opinion of him. The kids can’t have their own experiences and opinions of their father? The kids lived and felt their dad’s disrespecting and distancing towards their mom.

Christine wanting to project a “fine” image is because she isn’t used to someone listening, caring and offering support. I don’t think it’s passive aggressive, as much as a “trauma response” or learned coping mechanism. And I think it’s great for her that David is able to sit with her patiently and help her through her emotions.
Agreed. I grew up in a family where I had to play a role, and walked on constant eggshells. It's still reflex to be constantly "fine" even when I'm not. Sadly, most people in my life don't notice when I'm just pretending to be fine - 20 years of playing a role and being conditioned to not tell people how you feel make for a really good act. That David pays enough attention to know when a well honed 'fine' means 'not fine' and is patient and caring enough to draw Christine out and make it safe for her to feel and express those feelings says a lot about him. I hope he helps Christine get better at processing and expressing her emotions.
I agree. I think it is learned behavior coming out of her relationship with Kody. When you've been chastised for expressing your true feelings for so long it's hard to break the habit of making yourself appear fine when you're not. When you are with a narc you understand on a level most people can't.

I can promise you that Christine is done with Kody and just doesn't care anymore. I had my share of crap with my ex-husband and as soon as I checked out, I just didn't care anymore. Us women care deeply. And it takes a lot to not care anymore. But when we're done we check out emotionally and we're REALLY done. Which is hard to grasp for a lot of men.

Kody is a classic example of someone who accuses others of doing what he does. Even when they don't do it. He always assumes they do because it's what he does. And then he sees everything they do through the lens of his manipulations, lies, twisting and lack of accountability.

Love this channel. I have to say several content creators including you have said Christine is being “fake”. The piece that they don’t go over because of their x church is that Christine was born into a cult and is FREE. She has already grieved the marriage and now she’s free to LIVE. I left my cult i was born into at 18 with my best friend/sister. The joy you feel is absolutely indescribable. It’s like you have been reborn and every single tiny thing is so precious. Its pure joy. When David said she loves life I laughed because I have one tatoo and it’s “love of life”. I absolutely can see why it would appear she is trying to get back at him but she is madly in love for the first time with someone she is safe to be vulnerable and treats her children well. Im so happy for her! I bet she did EMDR it helps with the rewiring of your brain. I think if it wasn’t for the show she wouldn’t have contact with him at all. Shes grieved. Shes done. I've been with a narcissistic man who hurt me for a long time. When I left him, I truly didn't care anymore. He was going around acting like the devastated, blindsided fiance. He didn't want me back but he was "heartbroken" because of that my indifference and laughing at his dramatic acting made me seem like a witch to his new girlfriend and friends who knew nothing about our relationship.
Men are always "blindsided" when their long-suffering woman leaves.

I do think it’s a natural response for anyone who has been with a narcissist. But at the same time, you don’t want to fall into letting the fact you were with a narcissist change who you are fundamentally. This evil villain thing Christine talked about shows she still in the early stages of healing. Once she heals she will have more empathy for him as a human. I would never date my ex again for the trauma he put me through, but my laughing at his expense early on was an immature response to the situation I just got out of. I’ve learned all my lessons now from that experience and one of them is not to allow the other person to make me into someone I’m not.
@@brite1217 I spent 30 years with an a**hole. Narcisist? maybe, but mostly just a self centered a**. When we were finally divorced, it was like a 2 ton rock was lifted off my back. I was free. THAT I believe is what Christine is feeling, plus she's finally met someone who loves her for who she is. So, no she has no F*'s left for Kody, and she gets to do what she wants and say what she wants. I've been divorced for 15 years and I could care less about my ex. I don't hate him, I just don't have any emotions left in me - I'm not remarried. I don't want to be remarried. I would have loved to have met someone who swept me off my feet and loved me, it just never happened. I'm thrilled for Christine that she gets to know that kind of love. I also agree that everyone has a little Cruella in them. I would have enjoyed my ex's pain if he'd had any. He felt nothing.
