Personally I like the mix of gameplay styles in Fire Emblem Three hopes.
Think it's the best Warriors game I played since the original Hyrule Warriors game.
But yeah think there was an auto mode where you only do battles or something like that but I might be remember it wrong.
Love this game! So glad they added Fire Emblem components! Fire Emblem players don't play the franchise for only mindless hack/slash. We love the intricacies and RPG factors that make it Fire Emblem.
I'm playing the first fe warriors and it feels fantastic! I wish this one also had a performance option cuz I feel 60 fps is a game changer.

I bought this game and I enjoy it. That being said, all of the things Ircha mentions in this review are legitimate observations. I really appreciate this balanced review. One thing that people should realize is that this game is is tailored to people who like Fire Emblem and Warriors-style games. Ircha covered this in her review as well. If you aren't into Warriors-style games, then I would try the demo just to make sure you don't waste your money. This isn't a game for everyone but more for a niche audience. Great video.
It's so weird the framerate in this game cause when you are fighting it's pretty solid 30fps or whatever it is but then all other parts is really low. You'd think it would be dropping in the fights but it doesn't lol. I'm a few hours into it and have never played a Fire Emblem game before so I don't really care too much for the characters but they seem cool. I love Dynasty Warriors games so I'm here to just fight people so the down time between fights is pretty long with like 20-30 minutes of just cutscenes. Still enjoying it, but wish the graphics were better for a 2022 $60 game but they just need to make a new Switch with better parts. Great video!

Just bought this game and It’s so much fun. Can’t wait to beat it. Then ram up the difficulty and set it classic on my second play through
Great review! I like the musou type of gameplay but I quickly got tired of the oriental war theme in every game, so it's good that Nintendo put out two Zelda variants and two Fire Emblem variants. They're a breath of fresh air for the genre!
This, the other Fire Emblem Warriors game and both Hyrule Warriors games are some of my favorite games. I just love them so much

I was thinking of getting the nice collectors edition, but hackn slash the same enemy copy pasted 100 times just isn't for me. Besides I still have the first game unopened so I would definitely try that one first. Right now only game I need is Xeno 3 and maybe Quarry after I find it discounted enough.

This might be a weird nitpick, but I don’t like the font choice they went with. It should’ve been more modern, instead of boring Times New Roman. The U/I could’ve been cleaned up as well, I’ll wait for a sale before picking it up - thanks for the review, Irene 👌
I have fire emblem engage and i like it ok. What is in ur opinion the best fire emblem game? They all seem to differ and i heard u really like three houses in ur vids.
My favorite was Fire Emblem Awakening on Nintendo 3DS, but in more modern days I guess... Hmm... Does the first spin off Warriors title count? I loved that too 👍
Lol, decisions, decisions.
Man i played the demo. I put 150+ hours into the first game unlocked anna and i was suprised you can’t tell the troops where to go before the battle starts. I spent about half my time sending troops to different locations and the other half hacking and slashing. And also the ai of the charcters that you are not playing at is very weak. Back in the old game it was ok. But this one it seems your always having to switch to charcters cause they don’t know how to fight. Still was a fun game would recommended.
I hope you're playing Xenoblade on hard mode. It's like SMT series, the fun is in the challenge of random monsters in the world. Being forced to take your time and judge your surroundings carefully. It makes you appreciate the world they made more and I think it was how the game was intended. Souls games were the only ones smart enough to remove difficulty change so you have to play the game the way they wanted you to

Correct me if I may be incorrect, but from seeing how the game mechanics are, it looks pretty much similar to Genshin Impact. And Ircha, there's one Switch game that I don't believe I've seen your personal review on that I'm intending on buying next month--> Tokyo Mirage Sessions: FE Encore.
Ohh I've never played that! That's why! But I heard people liked that one.
@@ircha oh okay. Perhaps give it a try though and see if you enjoy it as much as your other Switch games as such of Rune Factory 5. While you're at it, I would also recommend Lego Star Wars: Skywalker Saga Deluxe Edition also! I've entirely completed it which took me 515 hours the same length it took me for Lego Harry Potter Collection. Even Lego City Undercover is actually very good also as players say it's like GTA V in Lego format.

I totally agree with the popups, especially midbattle too. So freakin annoying, but nonetheless good game.
Not a fan of where you have a gigantic swing radius that cut throw hundred of enemies at once. It reminded me of me vs ants
I'm sorry to hear that this game isn't quite what you were looking forward to - it always sucks when that happens ☹I've never played a Warrior's game, because I find hack and slash games repetitive to the point of mind-numbing tedium, so I'm interested in trying this one out for all the reasons you seem to dislike it: the unnecessary stuff and the tactical aspects look like they might break up the endless button mashing. Also, I LOVE the Fire Emblem characters. Still, I can completely understand why as a fan of this genre and series these changes wouldn't be appealing to you
Are you into Zelda? The Hyrule warriors games are fun. I've never been into hack n slash but the warriors games are fun. I haven't got three hopes yet,as three houses is quite daunting in n of itself. I think it's a series with trying as it's not justttt hack n slash
@@NintenDub I enjoy them, but from what I saw the Warriors Zelda games didn't look that different game play-wise from the traditional ones. If I enjoy this game, I might take up your suggestion and give them a go, though! For now, I am knee-deep in Xenoblade 3, so I won't be starting another game for a while yet 😄

Game is amazing.
I got the game yesterday, and while I like the story, I dislike that these latest warriors games are moving away from having health bars over regular soldiers. That’s been a staple of the Warriors games, and it’s a very off-putting change for me

Fire Emblem franchise was a series I wanted to try, due to hearing it is in the same vein as the FF: Tactics and Disgaea.
Though not sure if this particular Fire Emblem game is for me...
Long time Fire Emblem fan here, and I can say from experience that mainline Fire Emblem games have nothing to do with this particular game, so don’t get discouraged if you don’t like Three Hopes. You’ll even notice that newer Fire emblem titled focus more on characters than actual gameplay.
If you are still interested in trying out FE, I’d suggest starting by Three Houses or Awakening (both of them are quite newcomer friendly). And if emulation is a possibility for you, try checking Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance for the Gamecube.
I hope you’ll enjoy Fire Emblem if you ever try it out!

Great game but I skipped every single bit of dialogue and cutscene. I play warriors for the mindless button pressing. Adventure mode in the original Hyrule Warriors is the absolute best way to do this kind of crossover. That was a 10/10. The fluff in this game makes it a 7/10.

I'm pretty much fed up with musou games. I have fatigue on this genre since Persona 5 Strikers. Omegaforce made a Monster Hunter clone that didn't last long and died after Toukiden 2 so now they are back to their musou factory. Their take on open world for Dynasty Warriors 9 was a disaster for them.

A great review as always Irene! I only played the demo myself. As a massive fan of the Warriors/Musou series, I found this game to be FAR more of a Fire Emblem game, than a Warriors game. Unfortunately, that really doesn't work for me. I've never really been into the Fire Emblem games and while those deep systems are well done, they get in the way of the Musou action far too much for my liking. I decided not to pick up the full game after playing the demo.
its feels very convoluted yeah. they tried so hard to make it feel like FE 3Houses even copying style of the OG 3D assets. which i admire i guess

I love how this game deviates. It's why it's the first Warriors game I've actually loved. I can't stand the dull, dry cookie cutter Warriors formula. But this? This game resurrected the genre for me. I never wanna play another Warriors game besides Three Hopes again.

Love the art style but was never personally into the Warrior type games and they happen to run and perform rather horrifically on the Switch with frame drops and inconsistent frame pacing which negatively impacts the experience for fast paced action oriented games. Imo.
