      Yeah. I think Ben was broaching the topic of doing his own voiceovers, but I’m not sure that’s what the community ever wanted. I always appreciated Ben wanting to spread out and learn and do his own editing and stuff. But I think that the community likes the Jones voiceovers and they are actually what gain subs.

  • @friendlyelites

    I'd like to note that on New Game+ you can buy items that allow you to skip side battles altogether and just focus on the story, my first playthrough with the Blue Lions was about 60 hours long so unless you like the characters and combat as much as me you'll probably want to use them to avoid the repetition. Also playing on Hard actually makes the enemies fight back against you, so if you hate passive enemies in Musou games then up the difficulty.

      Oh interesting. I want to do the main missions for the next two houses but was worried about skipping the side quests. How does it work exactly?

    • @friendlyelites
      @friendlyelites 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@legendofkailia5596 You can purchase items with Renown, a currency you gain throughout the game. On New Game+ the items you can purchase is greatly increased letting you buy characters to use in Record Keeper maps, crest items, unique weapons, and the consumables that let you skip side battles. It counts the battle completion at a D rank but still gives you the base reward.

    I found this game to be pretty excellent, if you liked Three Houses you'll find a lot to love here.
    Combat feels a lot better than it looks on video, if you are worried give the demo a try its a really large chunk of the game (first 4 chapters) and progress carries over if you decide to get the full game

    • @FloatingMew
      @FloatingMew 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Also the demo *slightly* misleading in terms of chapter length. After the first few chapters, they get much longer. I just finished chapter 7 at 15 hours, but I’m taking my time.

    • @ZaxFSO8083
      @ZaxFSO8083 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@FloatingMew and of course you can always make a B line to the main objective too, the game plainly tells us that we can do less side quests for mire renown, so I guess when someone replays a route they can easily do as few side quests to get to the main quest.
      This of course is all hypothetical because I started my second playthrough just now but I’m still doing all the side quests anyway. I doubt the pacing is as bad as it could have been, like how people say they wish they could skip the white clouds first half of Three Houses when they go through the game a second time.

    They miss out on the fact the game allows you to use gold to increase your party member levels, different character have different special abilities, and changing classes to mix things up is easily done. The game also encourages changing character as each weapon is strong/weak against different types

  • @terencecaron2922
    @terencecaron2922 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

    The thing with Shez becoming "OP" is you're not even required to have Shez in your party for most of the missions (I'd even say my Shez is not even the best choice in terms of Class strength/weakness for some missions). If you really liked 3 houses, then you will want people like Ferdinand, Eldegard, or Bernadetta (yes Im a black eagle fan :p) to shine and see all their special attacks, or use them in duos. Better yet you can RECRUIT people on the battlefield which also makes playing other characters exciting.
    Damiani didn't mention you can level up your party members with money, meaning even if Shez is "way ahead", you can make other characters the same level without grinding (though it still cost a lot if you try to do it with EVERYONE, you shouldnt). So anyway, my advice is to play your favorites and switch it up because :
    1- They all have different special powers, even if the base combat is indeed very common to everyone (I think magic users are the only ones with a very different feel)
    2 - It's way more fun in terms of difficulty/variety
    3 - The game TELLS YOU to change party members with the weakness/strength system (blue tick/red tick)
    4 - You will also level them up, and improve your relations with them
    It's clearly the best "warriors" game imo because it mostly doesn't feel like a warrior's game, and like 3 houses 50% of the game is relationship buildin/ressource management. Usually one thing that's very annoying in those musos is missions are LONG and theres sometimes 10 objectives at once (half of em optionnal), and you cannot handle them all unless you're already a pro. S ranking in 3 hopes is both pretty easy to understand, and missions aren't as drawn out as Hyrule Warriors for example.
    So yeah, you like 3 houses and aren't allergic to action games ? BUY IT

    I loved Fire Emblem Warriors, played it for well over 200 hours. I played the demo for Three Hopes and really enjoyed it, but I probably won't buy it simply because it's another 200+ hour experience and I know it will consume my life. Basically strategically not buying a game I know I'll enjoy because it'll distract me from other games and experiences. Maybe the surprisingly robust demo was enough of a scratched itch.

    While there is no denying the quality of the game, I have to say that this feels like a Warriors game with a paint of Fire Emblem on top of it. If you are into that, that is perfectly fine. But I had a different idea after playing Persona 5 Strikers, which felt like a Persona game with a paint of Warriors on top of it.
    What do I mean by that? The main part I would say is the combat / exploration. In P5S, you would explore the dungeon like a traditional P5 dungeon and when battle commenced, it turned into a musou fight.
    In FE3Hopes, it is always a musou fight with some tactics thrown in there. I would've have expected a traditional FE map where you strategize all your attacks and, after you select a unit and decide to attack, it changes into a musou style battle.
    I do like Warriors games but I think that, with these collabs, they should use the original game as a base and see where they can implement the mosou mechanics rather than a musou game with a new skin.

    • @ZaxFSO8083
      @ZaxFSO8083 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That’s funny because I feel like Three Hopes is MORE THAN a Musou/Warriors game with a Fire Emblem coat of paint the same way I felt about Persona Strikers.
      Instead the first Fire Emblem Warriors was just a Musou/Warriors with a FE coat of paint to me.

    The one thing I will say about Shez being overpowered, is that's probably only going to be a problem for people who aren't regulars to Musuo games, because for a lot of regular players of the games, one of the most fun things to do is turn a diamond in the rough, to an gleaming gem that outshines everyone against the odds. It's a little harder to do that with a game that tries to encourage the use of Shez at all times, but it's also easy for people who know how to do it.

    The game is fun, but the combat, to me personally, is a downgrade from the Original. Lots of attacking through and past enemies and having to round back on them. Lots of cool fluff to do when not actually fighting, though. There is something else I can't put my finger on it, but it just feels different. I just cleared and finished the original last week, maybe I should have taken a break.
    Edit : The warriors you don't control actually move with a purpose, and are extremely competent at taking objectives/killing targeted enemies. That is a BIG improvement over the original.

  • @mageius
    @mageius 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    The AIb seamless competent than you are.............. Um excuse me but despite that them not being as good because you're not manually controlling them doesn't take away from the fact that they are quite good and a heck of a lot better then they have been in the past. Hell, you can actually stand around and do nothing if you're units are a little higher level and go back to some of the early chapters and they'll actually complete the chapter for you. Yeah you can't call them bad just because you're not controlling them.
