I found my varipoles to be the most useful accessories in my studio setup.

I love the varipole but there are support poles used in construction. They are normally bright yellow or red instead of black but they do the same job at a fractionof the price. I have a couple I use for holding lights and cameras.

What’s amazing is that a channel with 2.1 million subscribers has a show come out and after 5 hours doesn’t hit 4 k views !?! Love the accessories! Will upgrade my live-streaming for sure!!

Great video. A brilliant selection of tools. I absolutely love the Stream Deck XL. It is by far the most powerful productivity tool I have. It is designed for streaming but it has so many other uses. I have programmed so many editing shortcuts on Final Cut Pro. I just rocket through things. And set up another profile for Photoshop. A must buy for anyone trying to save time. (Teamed up with a Logi tech MX3 mouse, it is incredibly how much time I have saved with editing.) And the Caldigit is brilliant too.

Have you had success connecting audio and visual equipment to the CalDigit ? I am looking for a hub solution as my laptop does not have enough ports to connect camera, audio interface, wireless mouse, external drive, stream deck, etc. I have tried a few powered USB hubs and they have all had their separate issues with using all the devices at once.
Ultimately I need a new computer, but looking for a NOW solution.

Hey again! Love your take on an internal vs external capture card? I've been using avermedia external live gamer ultra without any issues... Thanks!

    Hey Thin Media Team,
did you experience any issues (lagging, freezing, high delay) with cameras connected to Apple MacBooks with M1 processors? I have such issues with an Elgato capture card and also found this issue in various support forums, but without a solution. How does it work in your setups? Do you only use older Intel Macbooks?
    Thanks in advance!

Great video! I want to know which accessory you are using in the beginning. At 0:07 there is a black microfon magic arm with red screws. I want it :D Maybe you can tell what that is? Thanks.

Recently added the Elgato Wave low rise arm and Elgato Wave 3 Mic. Could not be happier with the performance and looks. May need to investigate the Elgato XLR Mic and see the key differences with the two Mic.

Thanks for the video, I wish I could hire someone that's nearby to set it all up...Sadly, the tech is still so primitive, slow, and cumbersome with all the stupid wires and boxes... I was a radio tech in the USAF in the early 80's, right when we were switching over to digital. So: I've seen the development of it all...I expected us to be operating at the speed of thought, by now...We should have D-wave laptops by now...:)

1:57 - it's better not to give audio advice than to give flawed audio advice to newbies. "...XLR mics give you a much rich and fuller sound and much more reliable than a USB mic." This generalization is patently false. A mic's sound and reliability has nothing to do with whether a mic's audio is output via analog XLR bus or digital USB bus. For example, the Rode Nt1 5th gen's USB output blows away most XLR mics below its price point.

if you're doing a sponsored vid, you have to say it AT THE START, not some bait n switch half way through.
plus, its weird to have some products sponsored but not others.
would you REALLY pick the sponsors products to pair with the rest?
it makes the whole vid sus
