I had the privilege of seeing Frank Marino in the 70’s. His mastery of the guitar is leagues above 99.9 % of the great guitarists to follow him. Thanks for the great memories.
Frank Marino is not only a shred master, but he is a master of Blues, Jazz & Hendrix. He is one the favourite guitar players of YOUR favourite guitar player. He recently put out a concert video of a 6 Hour concert he performed. Unfortunately, he can't play any more so all we have is in the past now.
If I recall correctly, when they taped the show, the drum track was corrupted somehow and was really quiet. Frank spent something like 8 to 10 years remastering the sound and then released the performance ( on DVD and Blu-ray) An excellent demonstration of his prowess, imo. Real Live is a phenomenal double live album worth checking out.

This tune is about as simple as it gets for Mahogany Rush. Frank Marino has been the king of the six string for decades. Frank Marino Live at the Agora. Is by far the best sonically sounding DVD ever recorded.
You should check out the song "Ain't Dead Yet". That's a serious rocker and Frank rips it up! Then you can take it to the other end of the spectrum with the song "Poppy". A very jazzy vibe that shows off Frank's clean technical skills.
Please check out Ain't dead yet, Something coming my way and Dragonfly by them as well. Amazing talent and like a lot of Canadian bands unfortunately flew under the radar.
