  • Most hiring managers above a certain age carry traumas from the past when they hired superstar candidates only to see them leaving for a higher-paying job in their first few months. Where do you see yourself in 5 years interview question is an opportunity for you to let the hiring managers understand you're there for the long run.

The reason why the interviewer is asking you Where do you see yourself in 5 years interview question is twofold. Firstly, having a clear plan for your future demonstrates that you are a driven and ambitious individual, which can make you a more attractive candidate. Secondly, hiring a new employee is an investment of time, energy, and resources, and if you are likely to leave the company shortly after starting, they may be hesitant to hire you.

That video was very insightful. I never imagined that losing an employee would be traumatizing. I was under the assumption that some employers had favorite, more vibrant/lively, employees that they didn't care if certain people leave. It really opened my eyes and help me see things from the employer's point of view. Something to keep in mind always. Thanks for sharing Deniz.

I am looking to do an episode '’occupation: security vs. freedom’’ . I also air the show on the local radio (Radio city Maribor) unless the guest prefers not to. I think you’re a good candidate to discuss the pros and cons of traditional job vs. freelancing /self employment, I’d love to hear your insight.

These answers are really creative and helpful but most of the time the interviewer is asking to tell them more about the specific grey area answers
