I generally never comment on YT but this time I will! I watched your videos (the long ones) and they were extremely helpful. So glad to see you're back!!
Here an Engineer from a small town in Spain who joined LIG back in 2020 knowing little english and is now working for McLaren!! Best investment I've ever made.
Wow! Talk about success. Well done! It's a bit like my Standard & Poor's story, coming from a really humble background, barely enough English and I made it at S&P in my 20s. Congratulations!
I'm here because I saw one of your TH-cam videos posted in a course I'm currently on as a supporting learning materials, I was impressed by the way you breakdown strategy and how we can even apply it to our day to day life.
Hi Denis, I am really happy to see that you are back, I should say that it is so useful to watch your videos and see the perspectives you share. I actually invest in books a lot 😊.
Sir!!!! Thank you so much!!! You are literally an inspiration, you are actually the one of the many people I have learnt from who pushed me to do my best, letting me gain confidence in how I think & what I do. I owe so much to you sir!!! Thank you yet again!💜
Deniz - Great content as usual. I think it is important to make the distinction that not all of these programs are equal. For example in the US, HBS/Wharton both have expensive formalized executive education options and then other cheaper credential options through edX/Coursera. Both offer brand name access, but not equal in terms of platform, program, networking, etc.
Thank you Deniz. I agree with this assessment and it is a path that I am following. In the age of modularisation, I feel it is no longer required to buy the whole package. Fit for purpose executive education is a really good alternative for fraction of the cost, and shows the potential employer that a candidate is committed to continuous improvement. A finance professional might want to pursue the MIT Micromasters in Finance as opposed to a full MBA for example, in oder to elevate their profile and get MIT branding on the resume.
Very helpful video, thank you, I am aiming to work as a Supply Chain and Operations Manager, currently I'm a Floor Supervisor (supervising inbound, storage, and outbound operations). I have graduated with my Associates of Science in Economics and Bachelors of Science in Economics; this upcoming Spring 2024 semester I will be starting my MBA program and at 29 years old I am very focused on getting into that managerial position within the next 3 years. I appreciate your insights and thoughts on an MBAs worth - I believe to each their own when it comes to deciding the level of worth or amount of value the curriculum and degree will bring them - if it helps you get what you want or increases the chance of you getting what you want, then your efforts will pay off exponentially, this isn't a rule by any means, but typically with greater risk comes greater reward. Still to this day education is an excellent approach which has shown historical results for those who apply themselves after graduation. Approaching your future career or achieving your short- or long-term goals require consistent planning and execution.
Hi Deniz It is great to see you after such a long time. Some time ago I watched all of your videos twice, now I am on my way to a million dollars and I credit some of this success to you!
MBA programs are slowly getting less common. Yes, it is true that there was a time when it became very popular and lots of people were getting it. However, people slowly realizing that many online MBA programs don't do anything for them, essentially waste of time and money.
If not a brand name, my take is that the extra letters after your name might make you a little more attractive as a candidate, perhaps increase the chance you’d get the job over someone else without a masters. Perhaps this would not be worth the cost, if it only helps a small amount. Also, experience > degree(s). Would you agree, or add your thoughts? Thank you for this content. It helps a great deal.
Hi Deniz! Glad to see you're back in YT! Context - I already have an MBA from one of the best B-schools in my country and that helped me get a job abroad, where I currently work. My question is, how do i stay ahead of the competition (internaltional talent) & ensure my profile always stands out to recruiters in my industry (e-commerce)? Thanks!
I can come up with dozens of things to say here. Let me pick just one; focus on the skills that contribute the most to the bottom line of your employer - Revenue increase or cost decrease.
Deniz - Where have you been?... I miss your videos. I'm your L.I.G. alum and couldn't agree more with this video. I have a PhD and just completed an online MBA (because I found one that was quite cheap) and I also did an exec certification from Stanford... My only remark is to be careful about going too deep in a technical expertise as this can backfire. I'm an expert in multicultural marketing and data analytics and it's quite easy to get stuck in low-level jobs without ever going up the ladder without a much needed generalist view. I'd also add that organizational political savviness is quite important, specially for those who don't come from a super wealthy family or well-connected backgrounds...
@@DenizSasal :) I know for sure that you are not. I used your earlier videos how to handle interview question to secure job offer from Big 4. I was not able to get brand company on my resume on my own.
You can't learn all. Try to identify the ones relevant for your industry / job. Then prioritize by demand (e.g. analyze job description) or by market dominance.
In terms of gaining credibility, probably better than an MBA if it's from a good school. But from learning perspective, almost any school's ability to keep up with the development of most fields is highly limited. They'll always be lagging behind, in most cases by many years.

The king is back! We missed you man
Thank you!
Deniz is hands down the best career advisor I have ever met or seen. He really opened my eyes when I was applying for jobs.
Thank you! You're very kind.
Like the TH-cam videos are itself enough to make us realise how good we actually are.
so true, got my MBA 20 years ago and this was already happening; I ended up going back and getting a masters in computer science
I generally never comment on YT but this time I will! I watched your videos (the long ones) and they were extremely helpful. So glad to see you're back!!
Your advice helped me get my first job out of college.
Hope you keep posting!
That's wonderful! So happy to hear that.

Great seeing you again. Welcome back

Hi Deniz...
After a long long time back...
Love to see you again in TH-cam
Thanks Rana!

I wonder if the in-person MBAs/part time/executive MBAs might better a tad better than the online ones.
Hi deniz i hope u r well plz make video i always learn from ur videos love from uae

One year until the next video, c'mon... But thank you for yet an other useful video about the job market.
Rightly said by you in ending of video ... read books to get knowledge
It's more than a year no new video uploaded. Waiting for AI in business role from your poin of view. Plz make video about that.

Hi, no MP content anymore? I miss those 😢
Very helpful
If you have an undergraduate in business, a law degree would be a better choice than an MBA to work in business, especially a big bank!

Hi Angel, I remember you. I hope you're well. Been a while. Thanks for contributing to this video with your unique perspective. Much love.
Deniz, I don’t need to find a job but I would sign up for LIG program just to get an access to your wisdom!
Ah, you're very kind. Don't do it, though - I am overrated :)

Yes people. Avoid pursuing an MBA degree please. The world needs more vertical-specialized techies. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT get an MBA.
How does one best learn all the AI tools and automation? There are countless online courses
I am afraid I don't know Karla. It falls way out of my area of expertise.

Hi Deniz is Supply Chain Management a good field to be in ? My aspiration is to be a supply chain consultant. I believe you have worked with many
Hi Mark, I am not sure. I never studied if it's a good field to be in. Sorry, no help from here.

Does it matter where you completed your MBA?
I'll need to subscribe to your paid mentorship. Where do I start?
Why do you need it? Please take a look at denizsasal.com to see the details.
Hi Deniz, how about an MSc in a specific subject ? Will this hold more value than a general MBA ?

This last sentence. 😞
