So TW and B-M met at a US festival in 2022 and said they should collaborate. They got that opportunity this year. They went to Japan and played three shows, one with Band-Maid. TW traveled to Japan two weeks early to write/compose/record with B-M and record a MV. They then played it together at their one concert together. In an interview on the PRS channel, Kanami and Dany said that more collaborations are in the future. Kanami wants B-M to come to Mexico and and Dany wants the collab to be in Spanish. Dany and Kanami play similar PRS guitars in the same color.
Alexa, I'm glad you got a chance to react to two of the most powerful female groups in rock. Boy, did they do a great collaboration. It's an absolute banger. The shouts "Girl Power!" Band-Maid and The Warning may be the new "Power Couple" in rock.
It's just a banger song but I don't know how and why but when that line came : It's my life I hold the keys - oh man I really needed to hear that and it came from a song that was a collab between two of the current GIANTS in the rock music ... such a good song
Was lucky enough to be at their joint concert in Tokyo where they live debuted this song Also caught the premiere of this video. Nice to get to read the lyrics on this one Really hoping that they release an official live video of this from that concert too!
Thanks again from Japan 有難う 💛。 I witnessed the live debut of this song 😍 that was played as the encore & finale of the special concert by Band-Maid & The Warning on June 12 in Roppongi, Tokyo . My seat was located on the 2nd floor but in the center meaning in front of the two drummers. I was in bliss! It looked to me that Paulina and Akane literally and happily competed like a duel to see which drummer can kick harder enough to break their bass drum in the joint performance. 🤣 (FYI : In the special concert, The Warning, who opened as the special guest, performed so powerful that the Maids were fired up to start their turn with fullest energy as the hostess band. It was fun like a kind of martial arts between two fighters respecting each other. 😄)
I don’t prefer to refer to the bands’ playing of opposing parts as a “battle”, because it is far from that. Both bands are totally capable of busting loose and ramping up the performance exponentially. Instead, what I see happening is more of a showcase of different styles, done in a call and response presentation, with the response being at a slightly elevated level. This makes a lot of sense, as the song is “Show Them”. So, if someone calls on you to perform (the “call” part of call and response), you respond with more than they were expecting. This seems to be a part of the magic that they wove into the song. Both bands have tremendous respect for each other, so you won’t see them trying out-do each other. You’ll see the carefully crafted elements put together with an artistic style, as was intended. If this were a true “battle”, Pau would be going off, not only on the drums, but in vocals. The 7 others would also be off their “leashes”, so to speak, which, while exciting to imagine, would wreak havoc with the performance. The song is superbly well crafted to showcase all of the artists, but to blend their individual talents together into one incredible song, at the same time.
My friend: DarWin, The Warning and Band Maid...3 de las mejores Bandas del mundo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THE WARNING IS THE ONE..what a magnificent band . "Sibling magic" try their new album (Keep me Fed) could be Album of the Year or Sharks song of the Year.🌎✌️🦈🦈🦈

They had a joint concert in Tokyo (not one opening for the other).
They debuted this song live together as a closer to that joint concert!
Ahhhhh that's where I got that from!

Agree. IMO the only time art has anything to do with a battle is when the message is anti-war.
Locura!!!

Fabulous !
🎀 W I N !!!!! W I N !!!⚡Thx, Alexa.
MISA MISA MISA!!!!! Ale Ale Ale!
Dani is the guitarist and vocalist for the Warning also Pau sings too
With Bandmaid, they're 'conversations", rather than "battles", because they're complimentary to each other, rather trying to out-do each other.
I see your point, I'll make sure to remember that!!
Alexa!!! 🍺😁🕊️🤘🏻
