Fawns! Roe Deer Kids Update. Trail Camera Footage

I've been capturing our Roe deer family on the trail cameras for almost a year now. Some of the first footage from this forest was our Mother Roe with last years twins.
So I was hoping to film and share with you all this years young. I got very excited when I could see that the mothers belly was getting bigger and bigger. She eventually pushed away the yearlings (last years young). They are still about but not spending time with their mother.
At the end of May we saw our mother Roe followed by two fawns. Yes! We've got twins again. However just a few days later the same trail camera captured her followed by only one kid. I hoped for the best but feared the worst. The forest has been home to a family of Foxes raising their young, so I worried a Fox had taken a kid or that it just hadn't made it.
For the next couple of weeks the fawns were not seen at all, I filmed the mother but she was always alone. I began to lose hope.
Roe deer do leave their Fawns alone whilst they go and forage, so it's not unusual to see the mother without her kids. So if you find a seemingly abandoned Fawn please don't rush to rescue it as it might not be abandoned, it's mother may well be nearby. Don't touch it, move away and if you're worried please call a wildlife rescue for advice.
